Comic Li Chen has a beautiful fan girl

"But she sees you as a man. Let me correct myself. She saw you as a man. Now, you're just a growing baby."

"Grandma! I'm twenty-two years old. And I am different from before."

The old woman rolled her eyes. "A twenty-two-year-old man's child isn't that rare. While you do have a certain aura around you, I doubt you've changed much."

"I came because I expected a nice chat between us since it was my birthday but you've been scolding me," Li Chen said, making an adorable face and approaching his grandma.

"What do you think you're doing? Adorable faces are for people with flesh, not skinny brats. What makes it worse is that you actually have the money."

Li Chen chuckled, whereas he felt like crying out of helplessness. Was he really that bad with the oldies?

This did not spell good news for him, since most sect elders were old. "How can I please you?" He finally asked the woman, who ignored his sad expression.

This time, she turned toward him with an elated expression. "Isn't Xun-er pretty?"

Li Chen's facial muscles froze. Sure, Xiao Xun was a stunning beauty and a well-known doctor but he didn't think she was into someone like him.

"You want to sell off your 22-year-old grandson! I just finished college!"

"With bad grades!" His grandma retorted, glaring at him.

"What?! My grades were not bad, just average."

"Your mother was the best student but she married your dumb dad. This is why I want to pair you with Xiao Xun. She's smart."

"Are you saying I'm dumb?!" Li Chen's eyes flew wide open.

CLICK—!

The door handle bent and Xiao Xun walked into the room with a transparent bag. Within were three oyster pail boxes.

Her charming smile added a layer of allure to her beauty. Li Chen's eyes followed her as she arranged the boxes on a rollable table.

"Grandma, I brought dinner. It's from Dragon Castle. I'm sure you and Chen-er will like it." Xiao Xun beamed.

She opened the box for Li Chen's grandma, who glared at her grandson. "Thank you," Li Chen beamed, opened his box, and grabbed a pair of chopsticks.

Both women were stunned to see him gobble up the meal like a starving dog. Done with his meal, he licked his lips and turned to others. Xiao Xun pursed her lips and pushed her meal toward him.

Li Chen's eyes gleamed. He reached out for the box but his grandma slapped the back of his palm.

"Brat!" She hissed.

With his hands nestled in his pocket, Li Chen walked through the corridor with Xiao Xun. Although he was fairly tall for a man, he was just a bit taller than Xiao Xun.

The bright light illuminated their faces and he noticed the undying excitement in her tone that lingered in her eyes.

"You can ask." Li Chen sighed.

To his shock, Xiao Xun grabbed his arm and came so close that they would look intimate to others.

"Who's the new character with your name? He's so muscular, even that villainess had to give her slave face! ~"

"Xun-er… one at a time."

"Will he eventually gain a face?"

"Maybe."

"Chen-er! Don't be so cruel to your characters. Especially Li Chen. I think I might prefer him to Feng Lanxi." Xiao Xun puffed out, her excitement dwindling as she tried to balance her love for the two characters.

"But Feng Lanxi is handsome." Li Chen raised a brow.

"He's a bit childish and unserious in many things except cultivation. He also seems like the type that might won't settle with one wife."

Blinking with feigned innocence, Li Chen covered his head with his hood and detached himself from the excited beauty.

"Wait, Li Chen. Can you please tell me what happened to Xiu Ying? Is she that flawless? Wait, had she been hiding her true identity?" Xiao Xun gasped. She covered her mouth, blinking several times.

"We'll see." Li Chen smiled and left the doctor to her thoughts.

'Now that Xiao Xun mentioned it, was Xiu Ying hiding her identity? But I didn't create her with any hidden identity, so how? It's that thing! By recreating Xiu Ying, she ceased to be my creation.'

Li Chen sank into his train of thought even as rain fell. People ran about and those who saw the forecast swiftly opened their umbrellas.

"Hey, where are you going?" Someone yelled at Li Chen and he took a step to the right.

"I'm so-..."

He couldn't finish his reply when a car zoomed past, close to the sidewalk, causing the little accumulated water to splash him.

With dirt and water dripping down his chin, his eyes hardened, and the fellow seeking an apology quickly walked away.

Ignoring people's gazes and the whispers of teenagers, he walked off. On almost every billboard, pictures of his university belle were displayed.

Since this was her city and she was a renowned star at such a young age, the efforts to promote her were not in vain. Though he was also famous for his comic, Li Chen hid to avoid being questioned in front of a TV or crowd.

'In just thirty minutes, I figured out the past me was pitiful. I couldn't even handle a small crowd.' he sighed. In the comic, he always received attention because of his mask so he had grown used to people staring.

However, he wasn't confident about his actual body. Here, he wasn't tall, nor did he possess that perfect muscular frame, unmatched talent, or comprehensive ability.

Finally, Li Chen reached his house. He gazed at the door with narrowed eyes, pondering the ability of darkness.

According to his research, he should be able to move through thin gaps. No matter how tiny!

'Maybe my cultivation affects my reality but I haven't tried yet.' With that thought, he thought of himself as a shadow. After ten minutes, nothing happened.

'There goes hoping.'

"Mister, what are you doing?" A small, chubby kid holding an umbrella asked. Li Chen had no idea when the kid arrived, but he knew the kid as his neighbor's son.

"I thought I could move through that door like a shadow."

"Ah!" The kid tilted his head. He watched Li Chen approach the door. The moment Li Chen grabbed the handle, he vanished.

Blinking twice, the kid took several steps back.

"Mom!!"
