Omniscient Statue

"Omniscience" is the ability, or better said, property, to have knowledge about everything. If you are omniscient, you know everything, whatever it is in the past, present, or future. It's power that should be impossible to have.

Why?

Because the moment you become omniscient, your life will lose its meaning.

You would have no free will and would be only a slave of destiny. Your life would be like a movie that is rapeating over and over.

At that very moment, you would gain omniscience. You would stop being a living being and become something closest to a narural phenomena.

Nobody could ever be omniscient, not even the gods. If they were, they would commit suicide the second they gained that power.

'Because of that, I know that this angel is not omniscient and has limited knowledge. ' Orion thought as he listened to the first riddle given by the angel.

"TELL ME, CHALLENGER, WHAT I AM?" Angel was sure Orion wouldn't know the answer. All the riddles he has had have been collected by his lord from all different places across the multiverse.

"Mansion," nonchalantly replied Orion, with a smug grin on his face.

'How could he answer that fast?! Is this boy some kind of genius? But that's still within my expectations. My riddles will get harder and harder. There is no way that this boy will be able to answer all of them hahaha '

"YOUR ANSWER IS CORRECT, YOU NOW HAVE NOW RIGHT TO ASK ME ANY QUESTION, IF ITS QUESTION I CAN'T ANSWER, IT WILL BE YOUR WIN." angel said with still confident expression on his face.

While Orion was pondering, what should he ask. From the moment the guardian gave him his first question, he knew that he could clear this trial whenever he wanted.

' It would be stupid to simply ask, "Is this world real, or is it just a fantasy I've made up in my insane head when I went crazy?" I need to ask something that I shouldn't know.My brain can make up realistic dreams using people, places, and knowledge I already have, but it is still unable to make up things I have never seen or ever heard of. And it would be just fun to ask him about unresolved mysteries from the game hehe'

'What will this kid ask? about how the universe was created? What was the first lifeform on the planet? I can't wait!!' angel tought while looking at Orion, who was smiling like crazy again.

The angel and even gods had their mouths wide open. And there was a simple reason for that.

NONE!!NONE SHOULD KNOW THAT GODS ARE DEAD!!

Few mythical beings who were fighting in the Great Mythical War were aware that gods had locked themselves in different dimension.

But even they did not know that the gods had died.

For those who have been hardcore players, this is common knowledge. Everyone who chooses a Paladin or Healer as their main character's class will discover, after a series of quests, that gods no longer exist in that world. And that they disappeared a thousand years ago.

It was once a hot topic, and players had various theories about how gods died.

Some players thought that 7 demon lords killed them after a long war.

Some think that the seven demon lords are gods reincarnated. But none of them truly found out what happened to them.

This was Orion's first question.He himself was curious about this part of the game since many items and dungeons hinted that gods existed in that world. There were a few quets that had drawings and descriptions of gods and their deeds.

There were 11 gods in total. Some often made contact with mortals, and others stayed most of the time in their realm.

But, more than 1000 years ago, the gods vanished.

'The object that will make you the gods' servant, the angel, is the reward for completing this dungeon, which implies that it has a strong connection to the gods. If I clear this dungeon and become one, it's better to know what I'm getting myself into.'

Angel was staring coldly at Orion.Every bit of sympathy he had toward Orion disappeared. He wanted to kill this rude mortal in front of him with every bit of his existence.

'How there he talk about my lord like that?!! If there weren´t rules about not harming the challenger, I would have already torn his head off '

"The rulers of this world destroyed their physical bodies due to corrosion and locked their souls in a prison called Tartarus." The angel answered with clear displeasure in his voice.

"HAHAHA, that's the reason.." Orion started laughing after he heard the angels' answer.

It was something he never expected, nor was it ever mentioned in the game. For him, it means the possibility that this world is real, is bigger now.

But the angel did not know why Orion was laughing right after he learned how the gods died. To him, it looked like Orion was mocking the gods and his lord. That was enough reason for him to kill a mortal in front of him.

He clenched his grip on his 6-meter long golden sword.His eyes were blazing with a blue light that would scare anything alive.He positioned his sword and was about to erase Orion from existence when he heard a voice in his head.

[Don't do it or else you will be the one who will die guardian.]

'P-Please forgive me, my lord. I did not mean to disrespect your orders. It was just this insolent huma-'Angel was surprised that he heard the voice of his lord after such a long time. He would now feel extreme happiness from the bottom of his heart if he had one.

He wanted to apologize, but Duncan cut him off in the middle of a sentence and simply ordered him.

"Glass," Orion answered without hesitating the second after the guardian gave the riddle.

"CORRE-" Orion cut off the guardian in the middle of a sentence.

"Yeah yeah, I know.." Now my second question tell me what is abyss?"

'Rude kid..and how does he know about such a cursed place?'

"ABYSS IS SPACE BETWEEN PLACE WHERE SOULS OF DECEASED GATHER, AND WORLD OF LIVING. THERE IS NOTHING BUT A DARKNESS. ITS PLACE WITHOUT LIFE AND EVEN GODS AVOID IT"

'So thats place where i was trapped..place between afterlife and world of living...'

"Give me the next riddle, angel-kun," Orion commanded arogantly.

He was now about 70% sure that this world is real. And he really escaped from that place.

while the guardian was giving him the next riddle. Orion, with a small smile on his face, thought.

'This time I will protect my happiness."

"SO WHAT AM I NOW CHALLANGER!!" angel said

"Air..So my next question will be.. " Orion said, as he was thinking about how to use this chance to gather information that would be helpful in the future.

Don't worry, Angel-kun, we will spend some good time together~'

6 hours have passed since the second trail started. And Orion answered all the riddles correctly without making one mistake.

He confirmed many things from the game and also gained a lot of information about this world.

He was now sure that this was not a dream and that the Doom Bringer really helped him escape from the abyss.

He was now standing in front of an angel that was laying on the ground like a dead pigeon on the ground. All that scary aura of murderous statues dispersed. And the angel changed his color from silver to dark gray.

His left eye stopped shining. And some parts of his body, like his left hand and right foot, were completely black. When Orion asked what was happening, the angel explained to him that using his power drains energy stored in him. He was not made to work for so long because the gods didn't expect that a human could answer all those questions for six straight hours without failing.

Thus, he was now slowly draining his life force. to use his abilities.

At first, when Orion asked what was happening.

Angel expected that he would finally clear this trial out of pity for Angel. He heard one Orion talking to himself, asking if he should already have it. Even though he didn't know if Orion really had questions that would make him win this trial, he hoped he would at least try because all the questions until now were just common knowledge or the locations of people. But when the angel asked him to end this already,

Orion only laughed and said to him,.

"Don't worry, only death will separate us~"

Blue tears flowed from his only functioning eye as he cursed his existence.

30 minutes passed and the angel lost both of his eyes. The only grey place on his body was on his chest where his core was located. He couldn't move his arms and felt like someone had put a mountain on him.

At some point, Orion sat on the body of a limp angel. While smiling and asking angel all sorts of questions that would one day save his life.

Orion had a good mood since he assured himself that he had really escaped from that place.

The answer is fire and now it's time for my last question, angel-kun..you worked really hard." Orion answered a riddle that took all the energy from his core to say.

But now he can finally rest.After long 6 hours he can go again sleep.Angel felt slight hope but also a fear.

'Is there really a thing I can't answer? Will he be able to do it? What if I stay here with him forever??!!'

Just imagine of such a horrible fate made black tears flow from angels' eyes.

"Tell me angel-kun what is color of panties that is Elf queen wearing right now~?

'Huh? What type of stupid question is that? ' Angel thought

He tried to use his power. But when he used it, he found himself in an unknown throne room.

And at the top of the platform sat a woman on a throne made from something that appeared to be roots.

She was a tall woman with a fair complexion.She has long, silvery-white hair that goes past her waist. She wore a simple white robe with a slit that revealed her perfect pale long legs.

She had a stoic expression on her face, but that didn't hinder her beauty a bit.

Her blue eyes shone like stars in the night. Her beauty couldn't be described even if 100 bards tried to. Beauty that transcends species. It was so beautiful that it could turn even the most rational man into a simple beast that craved for her body. Yet the aura around her made it clear that there was no man strong enough in this world to make her his.

Without even sparing a glance at the angel, she said in a low, emotionless voice.

"Dissapear bug"

Before the angel could do anything, his consciousness dissapeared.

Orion, who stood at the top of angels' real bodie, was waiting for a reaction when he felt that the air had gotten colder.

When he looked down at the angels' core. He noticed his chest was pierced by an icicle. Ice started slowly spreading from that icicle, covering the angel's whole body.

Orion quickly jumped off his body.When he looked at Angel again.His giant body was transformed into a stone statue.

The ice started slowly cracking.

Crack! Crack!

Until its entire body cracked and fell apart into tiny partickles.

"HAHAHA, it seems like we made her mad~." Orion started laughing. as he oustreched his hand, caching snowflakes.

The whole room was now covered in snow from the guardian's body.

"That old woman is really as ridiculous as ever... to even send an attack from thousands of killometers and barriers created by gods that protected this dungeon."

Orion learned from the guardian that dungeons are like mini-dimensions created by the gods. And these dimensions are protected by barries made from divine energy.

Yet the elf queen atacked the most protected dungeon in the whole world without any effort.

Orion slowly started walking towards the door that opened the moment the guardian died.

He came closer to the huge door and looked again at the room.

"As expected from the mythical-class beign to make such a mess...rest in peace angel-kun~"

Orion said as he slowly entered the door that led to the third trial.
