Diana had an awkward expression on her face as Alex hung up on her. Leaving her to explain to her business associate just what kind of relationship she had with her own son. The woman had a curious expression on her face. 

Almost as if she was internally debating with herself whether or not the United States intelligence agencies had completely screwed the pooch when they identified this playboy with the infamous hitman of Los Zetas, known only by the name of "El Cucuy." 

Diana, of course, misunderstood this expression and was quick to try to defend herself, so that it didn't look like she was doing anything inappropriate as a mother.

"Alex... He has a unique sense of humor... Don't think too much on it..." 

The woman rolled her eyes before digging deeper into this matter, almost as if spurred on by Diana's statement rather than by genuine curiosity.
