Everyone stood speeches. They were looking at Auriel and Elise with question marks on their heads.
"What? 'my lady' and 'travelers'? You guys keep going in the middle of the night?" One of the guards exclaimed as he lowered his weapon.
"Yes, we were. But my lady felt the need to sit down for some time, right, my lady?" Auriel threw the ball at Elise and moved her in front of him with the Puppet Strings.
"Yesh…" Elise murmured as momentarily trembling coursed her body. Her legs went weak because of the sudden attention she got but Auriel held her strings tight, not letting her fall on the ground.
"W– we were about to continue our way until Au— I mean my guardian saw the lights." Elise managed to utter. "So, I thought it would be best to give our greetings and if possible, stay for the night— Not like umm…"
'She isn't that bad at speaking with others.'
Auriel moved in front of Elise, hiding her behind his tall body.
