3 Chapter 3. My first pokémon?

Four days later

At the entrance to the Viridian Forest stood Gray. All these days, he had been exploring the area and asking some people about the whereabouts of different groups of pokémon. Bumping into them would be suicide. They considered this their territory and would not tolerate an outsider in it. After learning as much information as possible from the people, Gray knew roughly where he should look for his first pokémon. Unfortunately, it couldn't be some rare pokémon. With Gray's current abilities, only bug-type pokémon would be suitable for him. But even so, only the weakest of them. He wasn't confident enough to go into an open fight with Scyther or Pinsir. Those pokémon would calmly be able to kill him with a single move.

"There is nothing left to do. My choice lies between the Caterpie and the Weedle. Hmm... Weedle is the latest evolutionary form of Beedrill, a bug and poison type pokémon. Good speed and attack value. Also, if I'm lucky, I can find a hidden sniper characteristic.... But it's also a dangerous pokémon. If it manages to hit me with its poison shot, the probability of my death will be high. Caterpie on the other hand is the latest evolutionary form of Butterfree, a bug and flying pokémon. A good special attacker with decent speed. Also learns status moves like poison dust, sleep dust, and paralyzing dust. Not a bad set of attacks, there are mental type moves that will be very effective against poisonous pokémon.... I'll look at the potential of the pokémon, if I find at least an average representative of the species, I'll be happy about it. Still, these trash pokémon will only be used for my livelihood. Once I have enough money to purchase a good pokémon and develop it, then these pokémon will be sold. In this world, it's not enough to just train your pokémon, you have to take care of its food, give it items with energy of its type, and only then can it become powerful enough. Some pokémon can take millions of pokédollars a day to train." - Gray sighed heavily and headed into the Viridian Forest.

Along the way, he met several representatives of these pokémon, but all of their potentials turned out to be very. his AI chip had the ability to scan pokémon and assess their potentials. Of course, the more information the AI chip knew about the pokémon, the more complete the information was

After three hours, Gray met two Caterpies with Orange potential, and one Weedle with Yellow. But the latter had a terrible temper, increasing special attack and decreasing physical attack, so Gray continued his search.

Evening was coming. Gray had to get back. He wouldn't be able to catch any pokémon at night, and the nocturnal predatory pokémon would be out for prey. He didn't want to take any chances. He knew that searching for pokémon would be a difficult endeavor. But he couldn't put his hands down. This was his only chance to get out of this slum. his entire life depended on it, so despite the time and effort it took, he smiled. His gaze radiated complete calmness and confidence in his actions.

"Not today, then tomorrow, not tomorrow, then the day after tomorrow. With small steps I will build my own path to power and wealth" - Gray started to leave the Viridian Forest as a bird quickly swooped down on him from above. Gray was barely able to dodge the bird's beak.

"Damn, it's Spearow, looks like this is where his nest is, that's why he attacked me" - Thought Gray as he quickly pulled a knife out of his pocket. It was a regular can opener he had stolen from the kitchen. But right now it was the only weapon available to him.

While Gray was ruminating, the pokémon swooped down on him again, this time its beak lit up with white light. It became clear to Gray that just one hit would calmly pierce its body. He bent sharply, but the bird noticed his movement. Turning around, it accelerated sharply and stabbed Gray in the stomach. The bird spread its wings and flew into the air, planning to swoop down on its victim once more. Gray wanted to run away, but realized that the pokémon was much faster than the current him. Therefore, the only thing left for him to do was to win this battle, or die. Waiting for the right moment, he waited until Spearow, was near him. picking up a rock from the ground, he threw it right at it. The bird fell to the ground. Gray ran up to it, but it was already on its feet. Her beak lit up with white light again.

"I won't be able to dodge at this distance. The only thing left to do is to block this blow," Gray held his free hand out in front of him, unable to find any other way out. The pokémon's beak pierced through Gray's palm. He was in excruciating pain and screamed, but in doing so, he stabbed at the bird's head. The blade pierced the skull and the brains mixed with blood leaked out. The pokémon was dead. Gray collapsed to the ground from exhaustion. His arm hurt like hell. He quickly reached into his bag to get some bandages, there was nothing to disinfect the wound, so he hoped the infection hadn't gotten into it. As he bandaged his arm, he watched the bandages quickly turn scarlet in color. There weren't enough bandages for the wound on his stomach. The two wounds continued to bleed heavily.

"I'm so bitchin' gonna die from blood loss!" - panicked Gray. The hospital had already stopped working, and he wasn't sure there was anything they could do about it.

*An unstable physical condition of the host is observed... Recommended actions: 1) Go to the hospital... Impossible 2) Use healing pokémon.... Impossible 3) Eat pokémon meat. The source of the information is Lunar Adventure, page 58, third paragraph. They said that once a badly injured man was able to crawl to the cave where Ursaring resided. The pokémon wanted to attack the man and kill him, but noticed a pokémon egg in the man's hands. The man started to speak:Pidgeot wanted to eat this egg so I quickly took it away unfortunately my wounds are too bad. Please take care of this egg. At this moment, Ursaring looked at his children, Teddiurs. They were watching curiously. Only there should have been another among them, if that egg hadn't been eaten by Arbok. Instead of attacking the man, he tore off some of his flesh and forced the man to eat it. Magical things began to happen to the man's body, his wounds began to heal quickly, and his face was filled with life. As he recovered, he looked at the pokémon in front of him with surprise....

"So I should eat Spearow" - Gray's weakened body no longer wanted to move, but he gritted his teeth, and crawled over to the pokémon's corpse. With his whole arm, he lifted the pokémon's body.

(Crunch!) - Gray took a large bite out of the pokémon's body. The raw meat, to Gray's surprise, had its own rather pleasant flavor, and the blood finally refreshed Gray's parched throat. The bite was followed by a second, then a third. So all that was left of the pokémon's corpse were the chewed bones and a small pool of blood. Gray felt an intense heat emanating from his entire body. It spread from his stomach to every muscle, especially the wounded area. The pain began to be intense. Gray felt as if his whole body was breaking and re-bonding. He could no longer contain his screams, and his cries echoed throughout the forest. He was very lucky that no pokemon decided to go to him. Finally, after three hours, the pain finally subsided. Gray was finally starting to regain consciousness.

*The process of digestion is underway. The energy from the Pokémon's meat and blood is changing the host's body on a cellular level. Muscle fibers are being torn. There's a 43% chance of survival... Analysis. There's an unknown energy in the host cells. It's helping the host's body deal with the energy from the Pokémon's meat... The chances of survival have increased dramatically... Body transformation has begun... 1.3%...2.5%..... 4%... 100%. Transformation complete. The host body has been restored... Changes in the host's cellular structure are observed. Feeling much better, Gray rose to his feet. There was no trace of the pain in his body. Looking around, he noticed that it was already nightfall. With a quick step he headed for the shelter. No one even noticed that he was gone. Gray headed for the shower. Lucky there was hot water today. As he washed his body, Gray looked at his reflection. A beautiful face with different eyes looked back at him from there. He wasn't even surprised. After what he had experienced today, he would believe in any miracle. His hair sat up and turned completely white. One eye remained as it was, blue. But the other galz became absolutely black, there was no protein or pupil. But it had no effect on his vision. Gray went to sleep. His mind needed rest.

The next morning Gray woke up very awake. As he began his warm-up, he was surprised at the changes in his body. Yesterday he hadn't noticed, but today, with a fresh head, he realized how much stronger he had become. Previously, it was difficult for him to maintain a high running speed for longer than ten minutes, but now after half an hour, there was only a slight puff of breath and that was it. Deciding to test his strength, Gray struck the nearest tree. A small mark was left on the bark, and Gray was surprised that he felt almost no pain, only a fleeting itch. Today he decided to go in search of his first pokémon again.

Weedle or Caterpie? What do you think?
