Chapter 86 :- One Person And One Sword.

Liu Ruobing is a 25-year-old woman who stands out for her beauty, tall stature at 172 cm, and a fit figure weighing 50 kg. 

She's known for her athletic ability and the noticeable lines on her waist and abdomen from her workouts. Liu Ruobing wasn't originally from Yancheng; she traveled here to capture some criminals, including a tough guy named Xu Bao.

Her job at the police station took a wild turn when a disaster struck, turning people into zombies and bringing monsters from other dimensions. 

Amidst the chaos, Liu Ruobing and her fellow officers, who were caught off guard by the strength of these creatures, suffered heavy losses.

The situation worsened when the criminals broke free and took over the weapons, using them to wipe out Liu Ruobing's remaining teammates. 

Using her newfound powers, Liu Ruobing fought back, taking down two of the prisoners and finding shelter in a dorm building.

The thugs, realizing LiuRuobing was a force to be reckoned with, wanted to get rid of her for good. 

Outnumbered and facing an arsenal of weapons, Liu Ruobing was injured during her escape attempt. With no other options, she holed up in the dorm, surviving on limited food supplies, while the thugs waited her out, hoping to trap her like an animal.

For more than ten days, Liu Ruobing was stuck in the dorm, injured, hungry, and losing hope. But then, something changed. 

She heard gunshots from the hall and saw fireworks lighting up the sky above the police station. It seemed like help might be on the way, just a dorm and an office building away from where she was.

Liu Ruobing, unsure of the events unfolding outside, was aware that the noise could draw in monsters. Yet, to her surprise, the sounds of firecrackers seemed to signal a shift in her dire situation. 

She witnessed a group, including a muscular man and some youths, dragging a handcuffed thug into the neighboring dormitory. 

This sight gave her the courage to seek help from Lu Yu.

Despite not knowing the full story behind these young individuals or their moral standing, Liu Ruobing felt they were less of a threat compared to the thugs they were fighting. 

Driven by a mix of desperation and hope, she decided to reach out to them.

Upon noticing that her message had been seen, Liu Ruobing felt a wave of relief, quickly followed by anxiety. 

The fact that this group had overpowered the thugs meant they were formidable, which also meant they could pose a threat to her if their intentions were not pure.

Liu Ruobing, having witnessed too much death in the early days of the apocalypse, had grown weary and resigned. 

She consoled herself with the thought that facing death was not the worst outcome, especially now that the thugs had met their justice.

As she tried to steady her nerves, a response from the other side caught her attention. 

They identified themselves as students from Yancheng University, carrying food, and asked her to hold on for a couple more hours until the monster activity decreased.

This unexpected reply filled Liu Ruobing with hope, yet she was puzzled. 

Since when have students become so capable of handling such dangerous situations? 

This question lingered in her mind, stirring a mix of curiosity and cautious optimism.

It seems that the tough guy deserves the credit for defeating the thugs.

The situation was tense. Lu Yu had cleared the area of monsters, but the noise from the black minibus and Xiao Fan's fireworks, which Lu Yu managed to stop, had already done their job. 

The loud sounds of celebration, gunfire, and firecrackers converged at the police station, drawing in hordes of monsters from every direction.

The scent of blood inside the police station and the dead monsters outside only added to the attraction. 

As Lu Yu noticed Liu Ruobing, the police station had become a hotspot for monster activity, with their numbers increasing rapidly.

Inside the black minibus, 

Lin Xue, dressed in her pretty Lolita outfit, was visibly scared as she saw more monsters gathering around them. 

She and Lin Chen had been approached by two men in police uniforms who wanted them to head to the police station. 

However, Lin Chen, wary of others due to his paranoia, refused. The situation escalated when the two men, angered by the rejection, pointed their guns at Lin Chen. 

Thankfully, the van's bulletproof glass protected them.

But their troubles weren't over. Just as they dealt with the fake officers, fireworks burst from the police station, startling Lin Chen. 

Despite the shock, Lin Chen, being the main character, quickly regained his composure.

"Brother, what should we do?"

"Don't worry," he assured, 

"The monsters are focused on the police station. 

If we stay calm and don't make any moves, we'll make it through."

"Is our defense energy sufficient?" Lin Xue asked.

"No problem," Lin Chen replied confidently.

Huuh!

Hearing this, Lin Xue let out a sigh of relief. 

Their apocalyptic vehicle was incredibly sturdy, barely scratched by the sickle mantis's blade.

The van was like a fortress, equipped with all sorts of protective gear. As long as nothing unexpected happened, they could withstand the onslaught of monsters.

As time passed, the number of monsters at the police station grew. These monsters, having traveled far, were ravenous and devoured the remains of Xu Bao and others completely. Not even the gruesome remains and bloodstains in the yard were left untouched.

By 7:30 in the evening, 

The sky was dimming to just a sliver of light. The monsters, having finished their grisly feast, began to roam aimlessly.

Lin Chen and his sister, relying on their robust apocalyptic vehicle, remained unharmed amidst the sea of monsters. 

Xiao Fan, too, had found a safe spot to hide. Despite a minor mishap during his escape, his fortunate nature seemed to protect him from death.

Near the police dormitory, the sight of a few scattered monsters quickly turned into a horde of hundreds. Liu Ruobing's fleeting hope was dashed once more.

"With so many monsters, they wouldn't dare to come here, right?" she wondered. 

The sheer number of monsters made it seem impossible to defeat them all, especially since they would fight back and darkness was falling.

Liu Ruobing's thoughts were understandable. In such dim light, visibility would be gone in less than 20 minutes. 

No one would risk their safety to bring food to a stranger, even if that stranger was an attractive police officer.

However, Lu Yu, who had insight into Xiao Fan's story, acted unpredictably. 

In less than a minute after Liu Ruobing's thought emerged, Lu Yu's team came into view.

Leaving Aguang in the safe hands of Wu Qiang and Dai Lian, Lu Yu set off with only Wei Jianjun, Yan Yun, and his two loyal pets. His movements were as swift and sudden as a flash of lightning, closing the distance with incredible speed. 

A lone figure, armed with a single sword, he moved with the speed of a lightning bolt. Liu Ruobing watched in awe, a thought taking shape in his mind, 

"Could he possibly be… the reincarnation of the legendary Sword God?"
