Chapter 1: New Start

"Young Master …" a firm voice woke me from my sleep. I opened my eyes to a luxurious room with exquisite engraving all around and a man wearing a butler outfit looking respectfully at me near the door.

He looks familiar but unfamiliar at the same time. Is this a prank or something? I was in my lab working on a black tech my company found. After deciphering ruins and text on the black tech my company located in an ancient cave, we concluded that it was related to souls. The last thing I remember is a small glowing halo radiating on the tech's surface; man, did something go wrong?

I have a guess, but let's think about it later. Let's first deal with the current situation. "Get me a glass of water," I said commandingly While sitting on the bed. "Yes, Young Mater." the man with a butler outfit left the room after replying respectfully.

He really is my butler, ha.

While sitting up, I noticed feeling my body had become shorter and lighter.

Sigh**

Whatever, let's figure this out do I remember the butler? He seems like "Sebas" personal butler of -. No No No, I am the villain, the retard son of the bravest duke and one of the heirs of a top-tier famous ancient family "Marcus Von Louis."

This is not a prank I have transmigrated to the novel I read a while back, "Light The Dark Path," a cliché hero saving beauty, fighting monsters, and dueling the demon king. The only thing I didn't read is the ending when the hero meets the demon king. Did he win or lose? I would have read that novel 100 times if I knew I would transmigrate.

Oof, calm down. I need to calm the hell down. Let's figure out how much the story has progressed and my age and stuff.

"Click~" door opens -

"Here, young master Marcus your water. Shall I bring something else," said Sebas. I took the glass of water and said, "Yes, get the bath ready and tell me how much time I have before joining the academy." "One year and four months before you must attend the academy," I reply with hmm and ask him to continue.

Sitting in the massive bathtub, I started concluding the information I had collected till now. 'One year and four months, that means I am 14 years old, and the plot will be starting around two months before the academy starts, so I have some time to plan and pick some op stuff for my help, and because this world is all somewhat reliant on bloodlines I have to get "that item"'.

I transmigrated, so I should have something similar to the system or Status.

"-Ding-" a famous sound vibrates in my head, and an infamous blue hologram-like interface is presented.

"There it is."

—=—

Status:

Name: Marcus Von Louis

Bloodline: Louis Mana Amplification (Locked) Strength: 1 Star Sword Master

< Status Locked>

—=—

Simple enough, there is little info in the status, and messing around the system, many features are locked. There is no help from this anytime soon, no quest or stuff on how to unlock other features.

That sucks, but I am cool with that. I hate being controlled and told by others what to do, so I guess it's for the best.

But man, I hate getting transmigrated. You might be wondering why. Well, that's because I had everything was rich, handsome, and was one of the most successful people on earth. Before I came here, I was working on a black tech which was found after putting a tremendous amount of resources worldwide, but it's a shame.

Maybe I can find some clues I am looking for in my research work since magic exists in the medieval fantasy world.
