1 (I) Deaths door

[Hello future readers, this volume is short mainly because I just wanted to introduce the characters and something's might felt rushed. but when it gets to the next volume everything would flow well. like i said, this volume is like an introduction ]

High above the clouds, the buzzing sounds of black armored aircraft with a broad M Scribbled on it hovered above a seemingly endless snow cliff shaped like a valley.

The doors of this lusterless aircraft rolled to the side, revealing two burly men donning tight black costumes. Their faces were carefully shrouded with oni-shaped masks, making it hard to depict their features.

One of the men, who had a broad "A" embedded in his chest, said, " Alex, Let's throw him here. It's getting dark and if we go any further, it'd be hard to return ." The man scratched his chin as he glanced behind him.

Behind him, where a soaked patch of blood lay, a bloodied figure covered in his pool of blood lay half awake and dead at the same time, but he could vaguely make out the dim conversation in the background.

He lifted his head slightly, taking a glance at the two men, registering their build in his head before shutting his arching eyes.

"I guess, after all the volcano is too far, and his heartbeat is slowing down, so he should be dead in a few minutes or so." the other man said with a contemplative look.

Having said those words, the men approached the bloodied figure and grabbed him roughly on both sides before dragging him to the edge of the aircraft.

Their mindset was simple: "corpses don't need to be treated with respect."

And without wasting another second, they tossed the bloodied figure through the door.

The figure tumbled awkwardly and clumsily and plummeted through the air with great force before fading away.

"You think he'd survive that fall?" The man with the larger A stated while staring at the clouds, where they just hauled a human off.

"Nah, if he did I'll dump my wife."

Both men took another look at the snowy mountains before the aircraft spun, accelerating to the north.

Inside a vast darkness of nothingness, the bloody figure lay half awake with his eyes quivering and his hands twitching slightly. His heartbeat, however, seemed faint, almost to the point where it never thumped.

"I'm...I'm sorry, Mom. I failed. " The figure said as warm tears mixed with blood oozed out of his eyes.

He'd promised his dead mom and sister that he would get rid of all the superheroes in the world, but he knew his vision was far-fetched. However, he still tried, and now it had landed him in the grave.

He didn't have any superpowers, but he gave the heroes a tough time with the help of the gadgets and weapons he used. He successfully killed a handful of heroes, but then he took it a step further and started messing with the largest superhero organization...

META ORGANIZATION.

The image of a little girl with green eyes and shoulder-length blond hair, covering her forehead with profound dimples, appeared in his mind.

The little girl giggled as she darted around, hopping from place to place, with an iPad in her grasp.

Her small laughter filled the wrecked house, which was crammed with only a double seat, a wooden table, and a flat-screen TV etched on the wall. On the walls were several photos of only three people with green eyes—his family.

Leaping up, the little girl sat on top of the sofa and started tapping on her new phone with a large grin plastered on her cute face.

He remembered vividly that she was happy because he'd bought her that phone after working days and nights.

He smiled, but his smile died in a flash as tears flooded his eyes. Unfortunately, the huge, powerful superhero chopped her like an onion that same night with only her heart remaining.

He always wished he had been the one to be chopped up like that so that his sister would still be alive today.

And because of that night, he lost some screws in his head. The trauma wa simply too much!

He glanced to his right. Death grinned at him with wide-open hands. He knew that he would reach hell faster if he took that hand, but he didn't want to go just yet. He still had unfinished business.

The heroes were still alive!

He coughed up blood and saliva, but it only dribbled down his cheeks. He never thought he'd look this pathetic again after that night, but lately, it had been like this.

"Death, please grant me just one more day! Please!!!"

Ruby knew his plea was futile. He was closing in on death's door.

Beaumont—the tire-six superhuman, the man that drove the S-rank sword into his heart—he'll never forget that name.

He'll wait for Beaumont in hell.

"Hahahaha!" He laughed with a mouthful of blood at his stupid thoughts.

**Rumble**  **Rumble**

The roar of lightning resonated outside the cave, then came the rain, drizzling from the open roof of the cave and hitting Ruby's body like cartoon tears, washing his bloody face.

He had a chiseled face, a pointy nose like his mother, and the family pair of alluring green eyes, which were covered with thick fluttering eyelashes.

He finally shut his arching eyes to enter deep slumber.

But Ruby snapped them open again.

A fluctuating purple crystal at the other end of the cave caught his attention.

"Ruby!"

He heard a soft, soothing whisper.

He didn't know if he had finally gone fully insane.

"Ruby!"

It was the crystal, and he could feel it calling him!

His green eyes flickered with hope, and he clenched his teeth together as he used his shattered hands to propel himself out of the pool of blood.

**Crack, **Crack **Pop**

The sound of his bones shattering reverberated as he crawled towards the crystal, which only radiated more glow.

And the closer he got to the crystal, the louder the whispers.

Finally, he reached the crystal and stretched a hand to snatch it, but the crystal vanished. In his daze, a screen flashed before him.

[«host found»]

[«Establishing connection to host»]

[«Connection established»]

[«Installing system»]

[«System installed»]

[«Does the host wish for the system to evaluate host attributes?»]

Ruby gawked in a daze as all these messages flooded his eyes.

"Yes." He didn't know what this was, but he'd do anything to get out of this situation. He cleared his throat and said, audibly again, "I said yes!!"

[«Very well, host attributes have been recorded»]

Ruby thought the message had ended, but another prompt flashed again.

[«You have unlocked the *villain Evolution system*»]

[«You have a new quest»]

"Quest?"

[» Eradicate all the heroes from this world»]

[Failure: Eternal torture with your d*ck sliced off»]

Ruby's smile broadened to his ears.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
