Chapter 12. Hanging Out With Kiri!

(Y/n)'s pov-

I went to my room and changed into something comfortable and went back into the kitchen to meet Kirishima now sitting down at the dining table. "Ready?" I nod. He gets up and we both leave the house. After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at an arcade.

"Wanna play arcade games like we used to?" I look at him in excitement. "I bet you 20 bucks I'll beat you at glow hockey!" I say as I rush to the building. "You wish!"

He catches up to me and we got our tokens to play. After 6 rounds, the score was 3-3. "Wow, you've gotten better when I was away." Kiri smiles at the compliment. "Next round breaks the tie, you ready to lose?"

The last round went on for what felt like a while, the score was now 4-3. "Hah! Pay up, bud!" He sighs in defeat and hands me 20 dollars. "I'll win someday, just wait."

He smiles at me while saying that. For the next few hours, we played arcade games together till we got hungry. "I'm gamed out, you hungry yet?" I noded. "Alright, then, let's go get our prizes and leave."

At the prize table, I saw a cute, small, skeleton dragon plushie. Kirishima must have seen me looking at it since he asked the guy behind the counter to get him the dragon plushie. "Here you go, princess." He hands me the plushie with a big smile on his face. "Thank you, dragon."

We exit and discussed where to go out to eat, we ended up picking a nice restaurant not too far away from the arcade. On the way to the restaurant, I felt someone watching me, I got worried but tried to ignore it so Kirishima doesn't worry about me. I look over to Kiri and he looks happy, he doesn't seem to feel like he's being watched. We arrived at the restaurant and got settled into our seats. We ordered our food and ate, making small talk.

The whole time we were there, I couldn't help but feel like I'm being watched. I looked around multiple times to see no one, in particular, looking at me. after 5 minutes of waiting for our food, I excused myself to the bathroom, when I entered the feeling went away. 'What do I do?! Izuku might be out there waiting to kidnap me.'

5 minutes passed and I walk back to the table after somewhat trying to calm myself down about the situation, still having the uneasy feeling. Not long after the food arrived and we both ate, continuing our small talk. When we finished and paid for the meal, we had a little bit more time left to spend till it sunset. "Hey, you still have a sweet tooth?" Kirishima said looking down at me, smiling.

"I'll always have a sweet tooth, I'm surprised you remembered!" I look at him and smile. "Well, let's stop at the candy store on our way home!" Kirishima was always so sweet to me, it makes me feel bad that he spends his money mostly on me. "No, it's fine.. you spent enough on me, speaking of which, I'll pay you back when I get the money to!"

"No, no, no! It's fine, spending time with my best friend is payment enough!" He reassures me with a smile. "Come on, my treat." He grabs my hand and speed walks to the candy store.

We got to the store and went in to pick out some candy. Kirishima was just following me around like a puppy on a leash. Not even bothering to look at the candy as I picked some out. I got some of his favorite candies as well as mine.

As I was picking out some more sweets he told me to stay here and he would be right back. After a couple of minutes, I paid for the candy I chose and went outside, a little worried about where he went. Not long after, he appeared and looked a little tired, seems like he was running. "Are you okay?" I looked at him worried as he was catching his breath.

"Yeah, sorry I took so long." He managed to get out while he was breathless. "Anyway, let's go!"  He grabbed my hand and started walking back from where he came from. He let go of my hand a little after and started walking next to me.

"So, where are we going? Aren't we supposed to be heading back to the house? It's pretty late." I looked at him puzzled. Where did he even go for the last half hour?

He gives me a big grin, his eyes never turning to look at me. "It's a surprise, princess." He rubs the top of my head, messing up my hair a little while chuckling a little. I started to feel my face start burning a little flustered, I looked away so he couldn't see my face. After walking a few minutes, he stopped, which made me stop as well.

"Why'd we stop?" I turned and faced him with a confused look. "Close your eyes and don't peak. Also, grab my hand and I'll lead you there!" He put his hand out and I grabbed it, closing my eyes.

He started speed walking in front of me and I struggled to keep up. After what felt like forever, he let go of my hand and told me to open my eyes, he sounded excited and nervous. I opened my eyes and saw a little picnic, I looked around to see we were in a park. "So, what do you think?" He rubbed the back of his head as he looked to the side of him.

"It's beautiful with the sunset here." I smile as I feel my face heat up. He smiles back with a little bit of blush on his face. "Well, ladies first." I giggle a little and sat down on the blanket that was on the grassy floor.

He followed afterward and passed out the food that was in a basket in the middle of the blanket. We ate and did small talk till it was completely dark out and finished our food. "It's getting dark, we should pack up and get back." I put our disposable plates in a bag and tie it. "Hey...(Y/n).." I look up at him.

"Yeah?" I smile at him, he looks to the side of him again. "Before we leave... I wanna ask you a question." My heart sank and I started to panic, does he think I lied last night? Is it even about my disappearance?

"I...I just wanted to know if.." My heart was sure to burst from how nervous I am.  "I like you! No, I love you, and I wanna be yours, only yours." He looked at me, his face now almost red as his hair. "I loved you since I first met you, I know it wasn't long since you came back, but I just had to tell you."

He looked like he was going to start to cry. "I'm scared that you might disappear again and never come back without me telling you my feelings." I felt relieved that it wasn't about my disappearance, but now I'm terrified! The uneasy feeling got stronger from the confession, whoever was watching me, they were upset, at least I'm pretty sure they are. I sat there, a little stunned and worried, not thinking of an answer to give him but a reason to go home and avoid his confession.
