Chapter 17: Never Let one Opportunity go out of Reach.

~Third POV~

*Swoosh*

Suddenly she was forced to his hand as he began to absorb the auras, she stole from her Aura Vessels added to Jae's reserves as he gets stronger by absorbing the aura she stockpiled for years.

The years of storing and supplying it for her brother's army for the crown… was now being stolen by the villain of the story to further increase power permeant and thanks to her efforts managed to empower one strong monster instead of her army…

She is helping the creation of a monster in human skin while taking her semblance <Aura Siphon> in the process… as Gillian could only stand struggling in vain for life as Jae or Happy Man to her wins…

The absorption is taking some time as Penny began to overwhelm Beterilak with her knowledge of the huntsman that Jae absorbed into her to know how to fight. Beterilak noticed Jae absorbing Gillian clicked his tongue knowing it was a losing battle, "Tch. That damn bitch lost to a freak like him? Fuck this no amount of Lien is enough to deal with this monster. I'm out of here."

Beterilak then began to make his move to escape as Penny seeing this began to use her swords as to not let him escape in a cold robotic tone, "Oh no you don't. My master would like your abilities to be gained mister Beterilak criminal as well. Now get over here!"

*Swoosh*

Tossing her swords at his legs Beterilak knew where this was coming as he avoided them using the famous jumping technique. Yes, the most obvious but highly effective technique that even Mario mastered.

Jumping up to avoid the swords piercing his legs he avoided them as he thinks to himself in a panic but also in joy hearing the news, 'Bloody hell! This deal with the crown went to the shiter eh? But the info of the Happy Man and his doll would fetch a high price on the black-market deal to the right people? I just – '

*Swoosh*

*Crack*

*Splat*

Before he could continue his train of thought he was suddenly hit by the face of Penny as she used her newly equipped boot jet thrusters to quickly go ahead and rush him in the air using the aura supplied to her thanks to Jae too quickly get ahead.

At the moment she flew she managed to make a quick enough reaction time to punch Beterilak in the face as the loud and strong impact of her android fist managed to break his nose in the process…

*Thud*

*Crash*

That was when the force sent him flying to the ground he held his nose in pain as it was crooked with enough signs to show it was broken he curses at Penny, "Bloody bitch! You broke my Nose! You bitch I'll make sure to gut ya like a –"

"Gut her like a what? Go on and tell the Happy Man what ya mean?"

Before he could speak, he looked from behind to see Jae in full view as the corpse of Gillian lying on the ground he could only gulp at the chills running down his back. Beterilak already saw what the person did to Gillian as she lies on the ground unresponsive he felt it was his turn next.

Jae on the other hand played around with the man acting surprised as he placed his hand on his mask acting as if he remembers something important as he spoke surprised, "Oh! Wait your Beterilak right? The guy with a <Heat Generation> semblance right? Silly me how lucky my day is to meet you right?"

*BRR*

Before Jae could do anything and his life in danger Beterilak began to use his semblance <Heat Generation> to the max seeing his life depends on it as the whole room began to heat up making Penny force back from the heat.

Bertilak's Semblance <Heat Generation> allows him to generate heat, which radiates in waves close to him. He puts this ability to use by increasing a target's fatigue and exhaustion when they approach him too much. Bertilak can also use his Semblance to form glass out of the sand, then manipulate the glass to form walls and barriers.

However, at this moment he released it to the max as if was a human furnace creating the heat, but his eyes only showed horror as it wasn't making any dent to Jae at the least. Another great fact of having an aura is the passive ability is the fact that it comes with climate protection from the elements.

One's Aura can protect from cold weather, as shown by Team RWBY and others walking through a snowstorm in the mountains of Anima with thin clothing and showing no discomfort. As with combat damage, extreme weather will deplete one's Aura eventually.

But that doesn't mean Jae isn't experiencing the pain he's feeling from the Beterilak heat he's generating. While users of Aura will not be hurt as long as their Aura is up, they can still feel sensations such as pain and heat.

Fortunately for Jae though as he experiences the pain and exhaustion of the heat being closed range his aura heals faster than the heat could harm. It also seems that those with a strong enough Aura can heal minor wounds. However, it appears that the healing is automatic and not caused at will.

Jae then places his hand on Beterilak head as he began to use <Aura Siphon>, <Aura Amp>, and <Aura Manipulation> to increase the process of stealing his aura, "Sorry mate but I need some power and aura. Your <Heat Generation> will be – oh your dead already?"

As Jae was monologuing, he already finished the process of absorbing his semblance and his memories of how to use them as he blinks at this with dissatisfaction but is still happy, "Huh? Guess it worked but still disappointed about not finishing my monologue. How rude of this bastard to die before I finish speaking. Hmph!"

At that moment Penny came around as soon as everything cools down she positively spoke to Jae to him, "No worries sir! I was here to listen to your monologue! I know it was very great sir really!"

Jae just glances at Penny as he was returning to his usual demeanor again not playing with his Happy Man persona to her in a dry voice, "Penny sweetie… you do know that was just me playing my part yes? It wasn't all that serious you know?"

Penny tilted her head at this not getting the joke at his words as he sighs at this shaking his head as he spoke, "Whatever. For now, though I completed my objective and the people here will start to get their senses again… recalling the memories of Gillian using her semblance… there is one more place to go towards next."

Using what he remembers from the meta-knowledge of the crown of the novel version of RWBY Jae remembers that inside the stone throne room should be the hidden room. That hidden room is used by Gillian to obtain her reserve aura batteries.

However, after obtaining getting the memories and semblance abilities of both Jax and Gillian Asturias the hidden room also served its purpose of being able to house the most useful and semblance users inside because of their aura amount needed to use them or specific conditions to be used.

Searching around the room Penny managed to locate the room where the people that held the most useful semblance were found thanks to her infer-red vision as she spoke, "Master! I found the hidden room located beneath this wall here… as well as some people?"

Hearing this Jae quickly motions towards the wall as it seems to be hidden well in the door color scheme as he moves the door, "I see that the Asturias are very well hidden to keep the most useful powerful semblance users under their control. It's wise to never give up such opportunities like this."

*Slam*

Slamming the door open Jae views a whole room of people chained up with people with the most powerful semblance that he views with a grin, "Now this right here is an opportunity I can't miss. Now, what did Cinder say in a scene like this? Oh! Right… You think hoarding power means you'll have it forever, but it just makes the rest of us hungrier. And I refuse to starve… Penny can you steal all of the Lien reserves of the Crown."

Licking his lips Penny asked innocently as she began to locate a terminal as began to go towards the terminal, "Okeydokey Master! But what exactly will you do as I begin collecting the Lien they have hoarded over the years?"

Jae began to go toward the nearest knocked-out person as he smirks proudly as he places his hand on one of the nearest victims his aura began to glow brightly, "Oh not much my good old friend Penny… I'm just going to have a blast having a feast of a lifetime. Because I'm starving and I require some power."

With that Jae began to absorb all of the people that are in bed as one of the first victims began to open his eyes widely as he was tied up as he began to scream but only comes out as muffles as Jae absorbs everything from him….

Time has passed after Jae got some of the powerful people that were captured by the crown that had the power semblances as well as vast aura reserves added to his own began to marvel at his increase of strength.

Jae takes everything he took from that room he stole and gained more aura as well as busted semblances that made him more than assure that he can power through things. More than enough powerful semblances that made Jae question his power as well as the increased versatility.

However, he only kept some for himself and gave some to Penny like how he transfers aura to her but also gave her some semblances for her to use. But having a large amount of aura would lead the Grimm to him fortunately he found a student who had a similar ability to Ren and used it on himself.

<Mask> one of the victims' semblances that he took allows the user to hide his aura, emotions, and provide invisibility of the user if need be by choice but is fueled by aura fortunately something his not currently lacking at all.

Feeling that he obtained all he got from the victim now dead Penny and him began to set the charges of the Fire Dust bombs as they set up with the timers and activated them. They began to leave the area with Jae using <Telekinesis> to dig a hole out of their way-out remembering Carmine's ability to do so.

*Swoosh*

Once they got to the outside of the base Jae began to fly to the sky as it was sunny at this time he smirks using one of the busted semblances, he got from the victims with Penny along in the sky.

<Sun Empowerment> it gives the user super strength, speed, heat vision, and flight. This Semblance can only work from the light of the yellow sun meaning that during the nighttime the Semblance is useless during the night.

Once they were high above the sky as he activates his scroll to call Roman Penny looks at the base with a confuse expression on her face as she asked Jae, "Hmm… Master, what's the purpose of killing off the people inside the base?"

Jae listening to her and waiting for the chance for Roman to call sighs at Penny's naïve question as he began to reply to her, "Simple. We need to have unwanted attention from the wrong people wanting to capture us Penny as well as get powerful in the process. Plus, dear Penny when you have an opportunity like this happen you don't waste chances."

Penny for her part smiles at this as she couldn't exactly disagree with Jae as he lent him some semblances for her to use. Even having given Penny only one Semblance is more than enough for her as well as an increase of her aura.

<Fake> was the semblance given to Penny from one of the dead victims as it allows her to use the semblance of anyone, she has made contact with. Some weaknesses are that any semblance she uses <Fake> on will be a downgraded version of the original and can only copy from one person at a time meaning that if she needs a new semblance she needs to touch another person but loses the copy semblance she had in the process.

However, that is no longer a weakness if the user already has a lot of semblances like copying whatever semblance Jae has on him in person.

*Beep*

Before Jae could continue speaking to Penny Roman finally managed to receive Jae's call as he answered back to Jae, "Hello little green? You still their little green you need a ride back to Vale already?"

Cutting off his talk with Penny Jae glanced back at the Roman name on his scroll as he began to speak to the man, "Yeah I'm done what I need to do. Plus, there might be some property damage soon – "

*BOOM*

*Swoosh*

A large explosion of fire and a cloud of dust sand erupted from where the place of the room where Gillian and the rest had to explode. Body parts were seen and people panicked at the distance seeing them be in danger.

*Rumble*

Just on cue, the Grimm began to appear out of the woodworks with the people noticing them using their old school weapons to defend themselves as well as fight back against the Grimm. At a great distance away from the sight already in the clouds Penny and Jae weren't seen by the people fighting the Grimm.

After the brief noise from the background with Roman on the other side raising his eyebrow at this, clearing his voice Jae began to talk to Roman sheepishly, "Cough! Sorry about that Roman-like I said before property damage destroying a cult… Hehehe…"

That was when Roman began to ask Jae in a curious voice to him as he smirked at his end of the deal, "Alright kid but tell me this? If this cult you took down is gone you did collect the money, right?"

Listening to Roman Jae smirked as he checked his bank account he jokes seeing his Lien account increase drastically as he spoke, "Nope. Only got chump change from this cult group. What a waste of time I spent sigh… at least it was fun with these opportunities. So you going to call our ride then friend?"

Laughing was heard at the other end as Jae thought to himself quite chipper about the whole ordeal, 'Hahaha… at least I'm fully prepared now to go against Raven. With the amount I have and semblances at my disposal, it would take a maiden power to defeat me. But sometimes learning these semblances would do me some good…'

With that, the two waited till they get a ride back to their home at Vale from Vacuo after getting what they came here to do…

A/N: Want to take a hint where did the semblance <Sun Empowerment> originate from in the RWBY world character? I took some ideas from the RWBY x DC Comics semblance added to here so the MC became nerf Superman.
