4 Meeting the protagonist

Lin Xiaofeng sees a big gate where the guards hold spears and say, "Tin Fin, it is your daughter who has come a minute ago, right?"

Tin Fin, the other guard, says, "Yes, Jun Hu, she is my daughter. She always practices hard to make up for the sect registration."

While the other guard is about to say something, Lin Xiaofeng arrives and says, "Sir, please allow me to go in," showing them the pass.

Then, the guard named Jun Hu says, "Okay, boy, but do you know the rules?"

Lin Xiaofeng, scratching his head, responds, "What rules, sir?"

Fan Gu says, "After I take this pass, you will be in the outer sect, and you'll mostly stay within the sect, except for missions. You need to go to a building where you'll be assigned your living quarters."

Lin Xiaofeng, showing respect, replies, "Thank you, sir," and then proceeds inside.

Fan Gu, standing amidst the guards, remarks, "This boy is very polite."

The other guards nod in agreement, but little do they know why Lin Xiaofeng has entered the sect; otherwise, they'd be in for a shock.

Inside his head, Lin Xiaofeng thinks, "Hey system, tell me where the protagonist and heroines are."

The system responds, "Protagonist is 200 meters to the North-East.

Heroine 1 - Ji Xiaofei is 147 meters to the North-East.

Heroine 2 - Ji Feiyan is 176 meters to the West."

Lin Xiaofeng decides, "Let's first sign up for the place I will be living." He scans the surroundings and spots a building.

Upon entering, he observes, "This building seems like an auction," as people are scattered around, engaging in conversations with various individuals.

Finally, Lin Xiaofeng finds an area where no one is standing, except for the receptionist. He approaches her and politely requests, "Please register me for a place."

The receptionist, Xu Gin, takes a moment to size him up, thinking, "What a handsome man. I wish I could assign him a house near mine." However, she quickly realizes that male and female accommodations are separate.

With a friendly smile, she introduces herself, saying, "I am Xu Gin, nice to meet you," and extends her hand in greeting.

Lin Xiaofeng reciprocates with a smile and shakes her hand, saying, "Xu Gin, I am Lin Xiaofeng. Please help me register for a house."

Xu Gin introduces herself, saying, "I am Xu Gin, nice to meet you," and extends her hand in a welcoming gesture.

Lin Xiaofeng smiles and holds her hand, responding, "Xu Gin, I am Lin Xiaofeng. Please help me register for a house."

Xu Gin agrees, saying, "Okay, please wait a minute." After a brief pause, she continues, "You can take this pass and show it to Sector 129; they will allow you to live there."

Lin Xiaofeng, not knowing the way, asks, "Xu Gin, I don't know where Sector 129 is. Could you please come with me?"

With a friendly smile, Xu Gin agrees, saying, "Why not?" She accompanies Lin Xiaofeng out of the building.

As they walk, neither Lin Xiaofeng nor Xu Gin engage in conversation. Lin Xiaofeng remains oblivious to Xu Gin's feelings, as he is solely focused on reaching the dormitory. Xu Gin, on the other hand, is shy and hesitant to express her emotions.

Upon reaching the dormitory, Xu Gin points to the building and says, "Xiaofeng, this is the dormitory where you'll be living with other students. Go to room number 129; there will be a bed for you," as she hands him the pass.

Lin Xiaofeng thanks Xu Gin and enters the dormitory.

Xu Gin can't help but think, "Oh no, I forgot to tell him that I am also an academy student. Will he ever think about me in the future?" She blushes with a mixture of hope and uncertainty

Lin Xiaofeng climbs upstairs and finds Room 129. Upon entering, he sees two more people inside.

One of them inquires, "Are you a newcomer?"

Lin Xiaofeng replies politely, "Yes, I'm a newcomer. My name is Lin Xiaofeng, but you can call me Xiaofeng."

The other person introduces themselves, saying, "Nice to meet you. I'm Fan Li, and this rascal here is Bao Feng."

Bao Feng playfully punches Fan Li's head and adds, "Don't pay attention to him, Xiaofeng. By the way, did you bring any personal belongings?"

Lin Xiaofeng nods, saying, "I have my necessities," and then shows them his storage ring.

Upon seeing the storage ring, both Fan Li and Bao Feng's eyes widen, and they exclaim, "Brother, you're rich!"

Lin Xiaofeng modestly responds, "You could say that."

He heads to his bed and starts resting, even though it's evening. After the long journey to get here, he needs some rest.

As Lin Xiaofeng sleeps, Fan Li comments, "Brother, you've seen Xiaofeng. I'm sure he'll become popular among the girls within a week."

After a couple of hours, Lin Xiaofeng wakes up feeling hungry and asks, "Brother Bao Feng, where can we grab a meal?"

"Xiaofeng, you're finally awake! We were waiting for you. Let's wash up first, and then we'll go eat," Bao Feng suggests.

Fan Li adds, "Yes, Xiaofeng, wash your face first."

After washing his face, Lin Xiaofeng joins Fan Li and Bao Feng as they head to the canteen area

Fan Li explains, "Xiaofeng, this is the area where we eat, and dinner is available only at 9 pm."

Lin Xiaofeng grabs a plate and goes over to a woman in her 40s behind the food counter.

After waiting in line for some time, Lin Xiaofeng's turn finally arrives. The man behind the counter asks, "Boy, are you new today?"

Lin Xiaofeng responds, "Yes, it's my first day in the outer sect."

He takes his dish for dinner and finds a seat to eat with his roommates.

While they chat, they witness a boy aggressively confronting another boy, demanding monthly points as fees.

The tearful boy pleads, "But I earned these points myself; why should I give them to you?"

The boy named San Tian continues to beat the other boy

.Lin Xiaofeng decides not to interfere and continues eating.

Bao Feng informs him, "Xiaofeng, he's the boss of the outer sect, always intimidating other boys."

Lin Xiaofeng thinks, "Do they expect me to fight them? I'm not the protagonist." However, he notices another boy standing up from his table and asks the system, "Hey, system, is he the protagonist?"

The system confirms, "Yes, sir."
