Fan Xue Axe

Lin Xiaofeng was engrossed in a conversation with Ji Feiyan, while inside the dueling ring, the match between Fan Xiao and Ji Xiaofei had already begun.

So, without wasting any time, they both started watching it.

Fan Xiao, who has already spread Qi in his axe, said, "Ji Xiaofei, back off from the match because I don't want to hurt you. My real opponent is Lin Xiaofeng."

Ji Xiaofei pointed her longsword towards Fan Xiao and replied, "Thanks for your kind intentions, but I still want to fight."

"Okay, but be prepared for the consequences."

He initiated an axe technique, which led to the dispersion of an additional layer of Qi over the surface of his axe, enhancing its power.

He charged toward Ji Xiaofei, wielding his axe, and launched an attack.

Ji Xiaofei, in a toe-to-toe confrontation with Fan Xiao's axe, countered with a precise sword technique. The two opponents clashed skillfully, their weapons meeting in an intense battle within the dueling ring.

Fan Xiao chuckled and remarked, "You have skill with the sword, but it's still not enough to defeat me."

With those words, Fan Xiao tightened his grip, causing Ji Xiaofei's hands to tremble as she struggled to maintain her stance.

Ji Xiaofei panicked, "No, Xiaofei, you need to win. If you lose, how can Lin Xiaofeng be your Dao companion?"

(A/N - I am now going to use "Dao companion" instead of "wife" and for the reason it just sounds cool)

Ji Xiaofei was pushed back a few steps, catching her breath. She said, "You are also not half-assed in Axe, but as I stated, I am going to win this match."

As an enthusiastic spectator, Ji Feiyan remained intensely focused on the match. Her excitement prevented her from diverting her attention for even a moment as she absorbed every detail and move with rapt fascination.

But her curiosity killed her desire to ask about the reason for Fan Xiao winning the match.

So she turned her head towards the left side where Lin Xiaofeng was sitting to ask him,

Ji Feiyan chimed in, "Xiaofe..."

Her astonishment grew as she caught sight of Lin Xiaofeng, whose eyes were intermittently opening and closing.

It looks like he doesn't have any interest in the match and was trying to stay awake.

Ji Feiyan shouted, "Lin Xiaofeng."

Upon hearing the shout, Lin Xiaofeng quickly opened his eyes wide.

Ji Xiaofei managed to regain her composure and performed a battle technique.

Fan Xiao also chuckled upon seeing the strike.

His axe now resembled like an ape, exerting its strength against the opponent.

Both Ji Xiaofei and Fan Xiao's strikes landed on each other

And a sound is produced, "Bang!" "Bang!"

Ji Xiaofei took 8 steps back, followed by Fan Xiao.

Ji Xiaofei could not take it anymore and bent down on one knee.

Li Hongxuan announced, "The winner of the match is Fan Xiao."

Ji Xiaofei said, "No, I can still fight."

But when she tried to stand again, she fell to the ground on one of her knees.

Lin Xiaofeng and Ji Feiyan had already stopped running and were watching the ending closely.

Lin Xiaofeng said, "She was good; she only needs some experience. I need to bring her someday to my dungeon."

Ji Xiaofei was escorted by Ji Feiyan as he left from the ring.

Li Hongxuan, seeing that both of the last participants have ended their match, said, "Ji Xiaofei, there were several chances when you could have defeated Fan Xiao, but you decided to ignore them. That is the reason you lost."

"For example, when Fan Xiao got stuck with the axe, you could have chosen to avoid it and attack him from behind. Another time, when both of your weapons were joined together, you could have bent your sword. Since it is a thin sword, you could have easily deflected the attack and attacked Fan Xiao. However, you ignored these opportunities."

Ji Xiaofei, who was supported by Ji Feiyan, felt ashamed and apologized, "Sorry, teacher."

Congratulating Fan Xiao, Li Hongxuan said, "Student Fan Xiao, you have done well in the duel. I am impressed by the way you have used your axe."

Lin Xiaofeng and Ji Feiyan nodded and headed towards the ring.

Han Tao said, "Brother Fan Xiao, whom do you think would win?"

Fan Xiao replied, "I don't want to say, but since Lin Xiaofenge's cultivation is higher than Feiyan's, his chances of winning are higher. However, sometimes a person with lower cultivation can defeat someone with higher cultivation."
