Chapter| 1.

"brother Han, I don't think i can help you anymore than this?" a four-eyed man said, handing back the stack of papers to the thin young man in front of him. Han Jue was the thin young man's name. He was an aspiring novel author who rose to fame online and made a lot of money, but everything changed shortly after a half year given that his novel's reader caught on to his ruse.

Han Jue wanted to be a famous Xianxia genre's author after his father gave him a renowned xianxia novel on his seventh birthday. But as he grew older and grabbed up a pen to write a novel, he quickly realised that the direction he had taken in his life was catastrophically wrong given that no matter the amount of times he began to write, his inner opponent would play humiliating scenes in the back of his mind and clarify him that he was an ignorant who had become excessively excited after reading a work of fiction. Just like a virgin discovering por* for the first time and then daydreaming about becoming something he could never be.

"Why not, those were just some haphazard cultivation methods. There's no way those people could recognise them so quickly." Han Jue nearly yelled as he slapped his hand on the stack of papers.

Han Jue finally triumphed over his adverse creativity wall after suffering from it continuously, but ultimately, things still turned against him and slapped him in the face.

"Brother Han, I'm sorry, but I won't give you a pass on your act of plagiarism any longer because you're going too far and degrading other authors' work." Wang Wei yelled, startling Han Jue, who was savoring the flavor of the cappuccino

Cough..

Han Jue, who only wanted his new work to pass through the preliminary inspection and source material verification, began to cough as an excessive amount of cappuccino entered the wrong vein leading to lungs.

"I-I'm sorry for startling you." Han Jue's brief mishap led Wang Wei to think that he would decisively recover. On the contrary, Han Jue began to cough more violently and seemed as if he were trying to throw his diaphragm out of his body.

Cough.. cough..

It was now wang Wei's turn to become frightened. He swiftly jumped out of his chair and rushed over to Han Jue to try to help him ease his pain, but it seemed to him that something had gone wrong since Han Jue seemed like he had already passed out before wang Wei could think of a way to help him.

"Are you okay, Brother Han, Han Jue?" Wang Wei grabbed Han Jue's shoulders, desperately trying to wake him up, but the moment he let go of his shoulders, not seeing him wake up, Han Jue fell down on the floor like a rag doll, never to wake up again.

[scene change]

Outside of Yan City, in the vast black valley forest that served as a centre for mountain bandit groups.

In the dungeon cell, a young man clad in a robe of white and blue stripes was shackled with two heavy chains. Although the young man seemed to be comatose, he had unfortunately just passed away minutes ago.

"These bastards get the chance of dual cultivating with mistress like it's nothing and here we are who always risk our lives for her yet we can't even look at her, it's totally infuriating." The guard in charge of guarding this little cell said dejectedly while staring daggers at the young guy their mistress had brought back home.

"Do you want to die, you moron? If anyone overhears you talking shit about mistress, they will kill you without blinking an eye." The second guard, who also was in charge of guarding the cell, yelled and gave the first one a slap on the back of his head.

The first guard scratched the back of his head and then asked, "Why aren't you trying then?" while turning to look at his fellow guard.

"Tsk, do you really have to ask me that?" The Second Guard exclaimed at the First Guard's ignorance.

While the guards were arguing, the young cultivator, who should have been dead, opened his bloodshot eyes and began to frantically look around, as if he needed to find someone right away. But in a matter of seconds, he realised he was in a bizarre location and was shackled in two heavy chains, as if he were a mediaeval thug. Believing it to be some kind of a joke he made an effort to get out of it but then abruptly a series of unknown memories rushed inside his mind.

Han Jue was a fifth stage body tempering realm cultivator and a disciple of the Xuán jiàn sect, but a few months back an evil rogue cultivator attacked his sect due to some random mishap. However, since the Xuán jiàn was a newly formed sect with no backing in the world of cultivation, it ended up being wiped out and Han Jue, along with some other disciples, managed to survive with their last breath intact.

Han Jue, the youngest of the remaining disciples, was dumped in the black valley forest so he could remain in cover whilst the evil rogue cultivator would pursue the bigger snails to feed on. The scheme, to a certain extent, worked quite perfectly until the bandits of black valley entered the picture and kidnapped Han Jue, who at that point only had a strand of vitality.

Han Jue succumbed to his death soon after being imprisoned in a dungeon cell for seven days with no hope of recuperating his lost vitality, and the Han Jue from earth who lost his life after choking on cappuccino transmigrated into the corpse that he had left behind.

'What a run of bad luck both of us fuckers had.' Han Jue reflected upon seeing the memories of his deceased predecessor.
