As usual, Yurio was walking down the hallway on his way to class when he came across a tall dark haired boy with piercing red eyes glaring at him intensely through the glass windows on the door of the classroom. Yurio didn't really think twice about it before he pushed past the other boy and went inside. There was nothing interesting going on anyway, after all he only needed to be there five minutes to get ready for his first lesson. And besides, there was always someone like Yuuri who would come up to him and try to talk to him, so Yurio thought nothing of it anymore. After all, Yuuri was his friend, just like Chris. But today Yuuri did not appear. No one came to greet him. Yurio couldn't understand what was going on. Had he done something wrong? Did somebody find out? Were they mad at him? Was this what happened when he refused to tell anybody about his crush on Victor?

Yuri knew that nobody really cared about such things, especially not girls, so why was it that every time he talked to someone, they suddenly ignored him? Nobody had ever done that before! He hated it. He wanted somebody to take care of him and make fun of the mean people who were mean to him and call him names and treat him badly. He could have used some company. Someone that liked him...

Yurio froze. Suddenly his heart began racing. What if...what if he really had made a new friend? Could it be true? Could it really be true? Maybe it was even a boy! Maybe he wasn't really a bad guy! Maybe everything would be okay!

Yurio waited until his teacher left the room before slowly turning around. As expected, Yuuri was sitting next to a window. It took only a few seconds for Yuri to notice that, although the boy's back was facing him, his face had reddened a little. Was he smiling? Yuri couldn't help himself from blushing slightly too; Yuuri was simply adorable. This was why no one ever bothered to speak to Yuuri. Because he was so cute! He must have been happy being alone because he never showed any sign of being sad, but now Yurio understood why everybody else kept quiet when he came over to ask something. Yuuri's kindness could make anyone melt inside, and no one wanted him to feel sad or lonely; so they just ignored it. They didn't want to bother him because they didn't want him to see how weak they were. They knew that he wouldn't judge them for their weakness. Everyone knew that he was kind. But no one had ever spoken about that to him. Well...maybe he did remember once or twice that he'd been told that it was okay to show weakness. But that was only one time, so maybe he was lying again. If so, why?

Before Yurio could say anything, his teacher entered the room. He immediately stood up and faced the front to pay attention to her lessons. Yurio could feel his cheeks burning, because Yuuri had turned around and he was staring at him. Their eyes met for a split second before Yuuri quickly turned back around and stared blankly at his book, trying to focus. Yurio smiled a little. He'd never seen someone else look at him like that before. For a while Yurio watched Yuuri as his teacher lectured them on math. Finally, Yuuri finished his homework and asked permission to leave the class.

"Yuuri," Yurio said softly as they walked towards the corridor.

Yuuri looked at him curiously.

"What?" he finally asked.

"Will you be my friend?" Yurio blurted out without thinking. He blushed furiously and mentally cursed himself for asking a dumb question. Why had he opened his mouth anyway? Why?! Yuuri raised his eyebrows, clearly confused.

"Why are you asking me that?" he asked, frowning a bit.
