Chapter 25

After hearing the gunshots, Yuuri immediately turned his head around to check if everyone else heard them too, hoping that they were not the first to hear them as he turned his head and scanned the area around him. However, all he could see was nothing but darkness. Not even the slightest amount of light could be seen anywhere, causing the blonde male to frown lightly and tilt his head slightly in confusion.

"It seems we're alone here", Victor whispered to everyone else.

Everyone agreed and continued scanning around the room, but none of them found any signs of the two strangers who they had encountered earlier on either.

"Well, at least we know they aren't coming back", said Georgi with a sigh as he rubbed the back of his neck tiredly.

Yuuri frowned lightly and glanced up at the roof of the building. It appeared to him that the building had some type of support beams running across the ceiling so that they wouldn't fall down during earthquakes. He then turned to look down at the floor, noticing that it was covered with a layer of dirt.

"Where'd that dust come from?" Asked Viktor as he lifted his foot up and brushed off some of the dirt from the floor, revealing that it was indeed made from dirt.

Just then, the door opposite the entrance of the warehouse burst open abruptly, startling everyone, causing a loud bang to resonate throughout the whole space. As soon as the noise had sounded, however, the doors slammed shut once more as two pairs of footsteps could be heard rapidly approaching them.

At first, Yuuri didn't understand what had happened, but then he saw that Victor was raising his eyebrows questioningly and pointing downwards towards the ground, indicating to him that something had fallen down from the roof above, which must have caused the sound of the doors slamming shut. After glancing upwards, Yuuri noticed that the source of the sound was coming from underneath their feet. Looking at the spot where the sound had originated from, the young Japanese skater gasped upon seeing the source of the sound. What surprised him most, however, was the fact that the object falling down from above had not landed on the ground, instead it was sticking in mid-air a few inches above the floor. He watched curiously as several more objects were also falling from the roof of the warehouse, each one landing right beside the first one. After he had finished staring at the objects which had fallen, Yuuri quickly averted his eyes downwards, fearing that the other objects would fall on them too, but surprisingly enough none of them seemed to notice or care that they were about to land on them.

Once again
