Because she seems far more interesting than you, Yurio," he replied simply. "You see, she knows everything about the operation and she's the one person that they are more concerned about than themselves. If anyone is going to get away and escape from Russia, it's her."

The rest of the group looked around awkwardly. After being kidnapped multiple times, nobody would argue against Chris' reasoning; however, they still had doubts about trusting the woman that they had just met. After all, she was a stranger to the group... and a hostage. They didn't want to get anywhere close to her, even though she did rescue them from the clutches of an unknown enemy. Although, that thought did remind Victor of something.

"Hey, Yuuko, how'd you manage to save us anyway?" He asked curiously.

The pink haired teen smiled brightly, causing Victor's heart to skip a beat. She seemed quite happy to explain her predicament, which caused Yuuri and Yuri to exchange a glance between each other; they both shared the same thoughts at the moment. Their friend seemed to enjoy talking about herself. Yuuri tried his best not to let his mind wander and focus on the task at hand instead, but he knew that it wasn't working. He knew very well that she had saved them because of Yuuri and Victor's bond, but it was also obvious that the blondes had a strong interest in the pink haired girl. As much as he wished that he wasn't the reason why, his attraction to her was undeniable. However, he didn't know anything about her and he couldn't help but think that he may have overstepped boundaries with her by asking her that. Noticing Yuuri's expression, Yuuko explained that she used a type of spell to temporarily stop someone's heart and allow her to heal them.

"Wow! That sounds really cool!" Yuri exclaimed enthusiastically, forgetting all about the fact that Yuuri and Victor had been separated for weeks. He quickly added, "If it weren't for your magic ability, our lives would've been totally screwed!" He gave the Japanese skater an admiring look.

Yuuri blushed slightly, thankful that he wasn't alone in feeling somewhat embarrassed at the situation they found themselves in. He decided to change the subject by turning towards Chris and saying, "We heard you helped them escape from their kidnappers. What happened exactly?"

"Actually, I only helped to break into the building that they were held captive in," Chris replied. "Once I had managed to free everybody and had everyone safely locked inside the warehouse, I headed outside again. I made sure to make sure that the doors were properly guarded and I set up a couple of cameras, hoping to catch any suspicious activity that they might be plotting. When I returned to the scene, it was to find that they had already escaped. Fortunately, I managed to recover my cell phone and I managed to send a message to the authorities where I'd left them."

"Wait a minute," Yuri interrupted in realization. He turned to Viktor and Yuuko and repeated what Chris had just revealed.

"When they got out, they ran straight towards Yuuko." Chris explained. "And I couldn't let them leave because I wanted to get a better look at her and get to know her. In order to do that I told everyone else to stay put until I was done checking on her, so they did. Then I chased after the trio, only to get knocked unconscious myself while running alongside them. But once I woke up, it didn't take long before I heard some of the men shouting to another group of people, telling them to hurry and get here already. As luck would have it, those other people turned out to be reinforcements. After I regained my senses, I realised that they had managed to grab Yuuko along with the other hostages as well."

"Yeah," Yuri mumbled bitterly. "Well, at least they didn't come back with us!"

Chris furrowed his eyebrows slightly and remarked, "
