71 Chapter 70 - Kure Clan

It had been a few days since he had learned that his biological family to be the infamous clan that was the Kure and his father being Yujiro Hanma! At the moment, he was sitting in front of his Great Grandfather and their conversation led him into learning that he was going to be the next Patriarch of their clan that he hardly knew!?

It's like taking a stranger to their family and making them lead simply because of his innate abilities! Fortunately, Haruto has [ Leadership Mastery ] and we'll be equipped to be a leader knowing what he needs to do in order to ensure that those he leads prosper.

"Anyway, will I be learning that [ Removal ] technique?" Haruto tried to change the subject and the current kure head nodded.

"Yes, along with all of the Kure techniques." Erioh answered and Haruto looked troubled realizing that he might be forced to become an assassin but his expression was noticed by his great grandfather who chuckled.

"It's clear you're worried about becoming an assassin but we won't force you if that isn't something that suits you. Remember, your mother is one of the strongest Kure members and has created a form of Kure techniques that isn't lethal but remains deadly." He was reassured , recalling how much of a genius his granddaughter was, having beaten most elite kure members who can kill yet she was able to beat them in an instant.

"That's a relief. My master wouldn't like me killing." Haruto scratched his cheek and Erioh pondered if his great grandson was naive or had strongly resolved against killing.

"You follow the Katsujinken but Haruto if any of your love is in danger will still spare them?" Erioh hoped his grandson wasn't that naive and Haruto tilted his head.

"Of course not, I said I won't kill but didn't say I can't let others do it. I mean there is the death penalty and stuff. I'm not against killing but I am only against crossing the line. In other words, I let someone else finish off the job but I'll also won't hesitate to cripple and instill fear in the hearts of those who try." Haruto's killing intent exploded where Erioh felt that the pressure wasn't simply a threat but a subconscious use of an "Intent" making it near impossible to win.

'His already at this stage? He's more of a monster than his mother was.' Erioh looked proud at his great grandson who wasn't naive to let his enemy go but knows his limits. A kind heart who fights to protect and win.

"That is good, if ever such a time comes we will do our best to protect those who you value. I will send some of them to protect your foster parents and siblings." Erioh said and Haruto was grateful that he would do it for him, leaning more on accepting his role as the new Kure Clan Head.

"Still, I want to know more about you, Haruto." Erioh warmly smiled and was happy that he was able to spend time with his long lost great grandson. Haruto didn't try to hide anything, trusting his guts that his Great Grandfather could handle it and was certainly surprised to hear them.

"Hahaha I'm not surprised because we've killed some of them in the past." Erioh laughed learning that his great grandson apparently engaged to a princess that rules their galaxy.

'I wonder if they know about borrowed power or if it exists in this world.' Haruto thought since if Jin Taejin exists then the gods and demons exist as well making borrowed power to exist.

'That also makes me wonder why they don't take Alien DNA to the Kure clan.' He pondered and his grandfather saw this and decided to clear his mind.

"You're really like an open book young man. The reason why we don't take Aliens and other supernatural beings is because we see them as taboo. None of them have true qualities of a human that have been lost through time." Erioh said while Haruto couldn't understand what he said but simply nodded and worries about being relationship with Lala would affect his reputation in the clan.

"You really like overthinking huh?" Erioh teasing his great grandson who awkwardly smiled.

"We don't mind if you have a relationship with an alien but since you have a harem then you can provide us with strong Kure descendants." Erioh said thinking about something even though it pains him to do but can see that it was far better than other options.

"That aside, you're masters, who are they? I know one of them has to be that old monster, Hayato Furinji." Erioh still can't recover at how easily he was defeated by Hayato when he's at his prime and their battle led to many areas terraformed. People thought that they were a powerful disaster but that's what the government said yet in truth it was them fighting.

"I have multiple masters with different teachings from…." Haruto then lists all of those that teach him learning and Erioh about Ghislaine and how useful the [ Sword God Style ] in assassination. His great grandfather was impressed having the trait of his mother who was able to copy their techniques to near perfection.

"Interesting…you also made your own style?" Erioh was amazed at his great grandson's talent, making Haruto ponder if he ever had the talent before he got the system? Haruto didn't dwell too much when he had no clue to find the answer.

"Yes, mostly a combination of all my techniques. My most powerful technique in Sei is [ Yuuki Style - Konton Kizen Shōkō jōtai ] while in Dou, it would be [ Yuuki Style - Forbidden Technique: Supreme Paragon ]." Haruto then continued explaining what they can do, surprising his great grandfather that he is able to use both Sei and Dou while also having technique similar to removal that surpass his limitations with only drawback is his mind needs to be in a perfect balance with his body.

Erioh saw this and couldn't help but see his granddaughter again when she asked the same thing.

'Haru….hope you are watching wherever you are and see how much your child has grown.' Erioh thought standing up where he felt his pride rising seeing how much his great grandson had grown to be a fine man.

It pains him that his granddaughter never got the chance to see him grow but regardless he will do everything to ensure he becomes stronger and safe while handling those that killed his granddaughter to pay for their crimes. He didn't want his Great grandson to get involved but if he did then he should be ready by then.

"Sure thing." He stood in front of Haruto while his grandson sat in seiza showing respect since they won't be fighting but only show how strong his gray grandfather was and at that moment Haruto felt the dreadful aura of Erioh [ The Mighty Demon ] where Haruto able to see the scope of his power through [ Senju Mujo ]. Haruto could feel the pressure coming off from Erioh that manifested as Demonic Oni!

He could feel that despite only being at a SSS rank still able to exert a level of his EX due to the fact his technique remains intact. Erioh soon drew back his pressure and watched as his Great Grandson sweated and quiver but not in fear but excitement!

"Was that enough?" Erioh asked and Haruto nodded as both sat back where the next hour was Haruto doing image training where he fought and analyzed how to defeat Erioh. He was churning his [ Spiral Power ] where his mental training was truly manifesting and improving his technique.

'He seems to be doing intense mental training….' Erioh thought observing Haruto who wasn't moving and had his arms crossed while his eyes were closed. Within the span of their trip, Haruto noticeably got stronger when Erioh woke him up revealed his pressure shifted and was refined even further than before.

"We're here." Erioh said where Haruto looked at the window and revealed a large village that seemed to be having a festival.

"This is a welcoming party for your return. I heard your birthday was a few days ago and decided to celebrate it today." His great grandfather explained and Haruto awestruck at how willing his fellow clansmen to celebrate someone who they barely knew and simply knew part of their clan.

Soon after, they landed where a Kure member was waiting for them where Haruto felt kind of overwhelmed by their consideration and courtesy towards a stranger like him.

"Haruto, you are not a stranger. Our blood runs through you and that's what is important. Now let's head inside." Erioh patted him on the back while Haruto tried to get along with them and followed them to the main building of the Kure where there were a lot of people waiting for them. The kure members were looking at him curiously and seem genuinely happy that he could finally join them.

After some time, Haruto was taken to a balcony where it overlooked every clan member. Erioh walked over and began to give a speech to every member.

"Everyone, you all know the reason why we are having a celebration. But for those who do not, let me explain. During one of the kengan matches that I had witnessed, I had unexpectedly stumbled upon someone who shared our blood. He is the child of my granddaughter, Haru Kure." Everyone gasps in shock as nearly every single kure knows of the reputation of Haruto's mother who is known to be the strongest despite her refusal in killing. They all weep when they learn that she was ambushed and murdered.

Everyone was relieved and surprised that his child survived, which is the only thing that proves she is still alive through Haruto. Erioh looked at Haruto gesturing him to come forward where he was a bit awkward but tried his best.

"This young man is Haruto Yuuki, he was adopted by the Yuuki couple and has been living with them for 16 years without him knowing of his true origin but now he has returned and hopes that all of you view him as one of us." He finished while Haruto was given a mic to give his speech and point of view.

"Uhmm…I am Haruto, wait you already know that.." Haruto tries to lighten the mood and it is worse as everyone who knows her mother can see their semblance where she can be serious yet awkward at the same time.

"Anyway, I am grateful for your warm welcome despite knowing the only thing that connects us is my lineage. However, even if that is the case, I can feel our clan bonds that we all share and I am happy to finally be here meeting all of you." He said ever since he had arrived felt that they weren't lying and despite being a clan of assassins their Karma hasn't gone up nor gone down since nearly everyone they killed are scum or no different than them. None killed for no reason and can be considered good people.

"I hope everyone enjoys the celebration and I shall do my best to catch up with everyone." Haruto said before giving the mic to his great Grandfather who was happy that he accepted them quite easily. Everyone roared and cheered and began the celebration where Haruto led to the grand hall where food and people were gathered as Haruto got to meet his biological family.
