54 Chapter 53 - Sougetsu Ma

After following his master Kansei Ma and learned about his daughter who was currently with him. Haruto might have seen the events from his other memory but it was far from perfect where certain memories don't immediately show and was extremely foggy. Therefore, he rarely uses it and instead uses an outline of a certain major arc. At the moment, Haruto was looking at the Chinese mafia who were causing a ruckus.

"Those guys are part of the Chinese Mafia in Chinatown so they really must know something about Ma Sougetsu, let's go." Renka said and they walked in their direction while they heard the talk between them and the shop owner.

"What is the reason for not paying us!?" ask one of the Mafia men with blonde hair and a cigarette in his mouth.

"You Mafia will be cut off! Mr. Hakubai will be calling everyone together! I am not the only one who won't pay" the shop owner shouted at them in fury, refusing to take their authority.

"Brave talk but that man Hakubai is foolish as well" said the blonde man with the cigeratte while the 2 meter tall man behind him picked the shop owner and throwed him.

Haruto caught the man and put him on the ground without much effort.

"You should stay back Mister." Haruto said putting him down as the shop owner.

"Yes, thank you for saving me." The shop owner said

"No problem." Haruto said then looked at the two Mafia men in front of him.

"Who are you guys!?" The blonde man with the cigarette asked angrily, glaring at them.

"We are just some kids who are looking for someone! Maybe you guys know about that man, his name is Ma Sougetsu." Haruto said, hoping not to escalate things.

"Hmm.... Who the fuck are you to ask that!?" The man asked, showing signs of aggression.

"I was being a calm and reasonable person but…" Haruto sigh since trying to solve the problem by talking wasn't enough. His whole demeanor shifted and Ranka Ma noticed the subtle change in his form.

"Take care of them." The man with the cigarette said to the 2 meters tall men beside him. The man nodded his head and punched towards Haruto, he was unfazed and it was slow in his eyes allowing him to deflect the punch with one hand and punched the guy only once with his other hand and the guy was knocked down.

Haruto went to the instant knock not wanting to cause too much damage and simply used [ Hypnosis ] to change the person's mindset.

'His faster than I expected.' Renka ma commented seeing his movement was a lot faster than able to do. He was predicting and intercepting their movement.

Her eyes widened when she saw the blonde man held his belt and took out a folding sword from it and slashed towards Haruto but he was ready for it and side stepped dodging from the slash then grabbed his hand with both of his hands lifted him onto the lift and slammed him on the ground.

"A bent sword it would have been a close save even for me and you were even able to counter it, but that wasn't Chinese martial art techniques you were using." Renka was impressed seeing his ability to combat against someone with a weapon but didn't know what kind of technique he used.

"It's a Japanese martial art called Jujitsu." Haruto replied, taking his time in using the binding technique that Shigure taught him and Akisame since both are proficient in it.

"Huh!?" Renka surprised by his answer since he claims to be her father's disciple yet knows more than one.

"Didn't I said that I am a disciple of Ryozanpaku, other that Chinese Kenpo I am learning Jujitsu, Karate, Muay Thai and Swordsmanship as well." Haruto explained but he has more than those that he mentioned.

"Isn't learning a single one enough, why are you doing so many things half-heartedly!?" Renka asked would have punched him for attempting to learn more than one martial art.

"Nah, I have a unique trait that can copy martial art the moment I see it at a level that can be placed at a High class Disciple. Also, I'm a hybrid martial artist that allows me to combat most things. I mean if I only had Chinese Kenpo then won't my enemy know my pattern?" Haruto replied and Renka didn't see his arguments as having any problem and had valid reasons.

"I am like water, formless and shapeless." He said finishing up his binding of the enemy. Haruto is always reminded that martial arts are always changing and evolving.

"You bastards, our Gang has Sougetsu Ma and he won't let you go after what you did!?" The blonde was still conscious and gave some threats to them.

"See I told you he knows something doesn't he?" said Haruto with a smile towards Renka Ma who felt her face heat up after looking at his smile.

"Yes he does." said Renka and started walking towards the blond guy as she was going to use him as a distraction.

"So tell me where we will find, Ma Sougetsu" said Renka to the blond as she cracked her knuckles. Looking at Renka Ma then the blonde, Haruto shook his head and muttered under his breath

"Poor guy…" After a little bit of beating from Renka the blond guy spoke and told them about the hiding place og there gang where Sougetsu Ma was most probably hiding.

"Ok, now you can go back." Renka to Haruto.

"I will go after I make sure that you don't get yourself killed, that means it won't probably end so soon." Haruto said since he knew that her uncle might do something against her even if he doesn't kill her would still cripple her.

"Sougetsu Ma isn't like a street thug whom you can beat so easily." Renka Ma said knowing that her uncle is a Grandmaster like her father.

"That's the more reason why I should come with you! Even if you can fight doesn't mean I'll let you go alone!" Haruto argued, making Renka blush a little. He was sincere and honest and didn't back down to her words.

'Where did papa find such a disciple!' Renka thought to herself, skipping a beat. The two then started to move towards the place that the blonde man told them.

"How come you're able to see where you're going when you have a blindfold?" Renka Ma asked since he was moving quite well for someone who doesn't use their eyes.

"Part of my training. You can say my eyes are sensitive." Haruto since he is a lot stronger upon removing it and by enhancing his other senses make his strength grow several folds. Renka Ma found it strange and was curious what his eyes were like.

On the other side Ma Kensei has already found out about that place through an informer of Hakubi

In the thugs hideout Sougetsu Ma could already feel Kensei ma's aura approaching him. After a few minutes Renka and Kenchi also reached the hideout of the mafia gang where Sougetsu Ma was present.

"You should stay behind me" Haruto said to Renka sensing the pending danger where it is a lot stronger than even his Master Kansei Ma. It was more unrestrained and clear that it was Dou Ki.

"What!? You think I can't take care of myself!?" Renka felt rage offended that she was being underestimated but Haruto shook his head.

"Of course not but I can't face Kansei Ma if I let his daughter get hurt." Haruto said thinking how it would hurt his master if she were in danger. He does know he is able to handle himself even against a grandmaster.

"Fine." Renka said with a hint of red in her face wondering why she was feeling this way every time Haruto showed concern over her safety. It was then, Haruto took the front and Renka right behind him entered the hideout by kicking the door open and after that within minutes he took down all of them.

"Hmm…. Sougetsu Ma must be upstairs as I can feel an aura as strong as my masters." Haruto said sensing the same aura comparable to Sakaki in terms of aggressiveness.

"You can already feel his aura!? Exactly how strong are you!?" Renka said in shock since she couldn't even sense that precisely as he does.

"I can at least fight Grandmaster for some time but that is simply a rough estimate since I never fought in a life and death fight before. " Haruto said as he started walking upstairs. Renka was taken aback by his words! Fight a grandmaster!? Like her Papa?

'Did Papa really find a gem in Japan!? Maybe I can bring him to China when I get Papa.' Renka Ma thought since someone this good in martial art would be a waste to let go!

As the two of them were moving to find Sougetsu Ma, On the second floor in a room the thugs were carrying cases of gasoline.

"Hey, look lively! I want Hakubi's shop burned down before the night is done." The man said in white coat who looked like their leader. There was even TNT Explosive present within the boxes they were carrying.

"So Mr. Sougetsu, what do you think about my plan of blowing up your relatives' shop?" The leader said while looking at Sougetsu Ma who was drinking the booze. He was a tall and very muscular middle-aged man with short black hair and a thick beard.

He wears an open vest to reveal his chest, dark pants, and has his gourd in his hands all the time and has armbands around his wrists. He exudes a suffocating aura that instills primal fear in those who try to get close.

"As long as I can drink and fight, I don't care what happens to anyone else." Sougetsu Ma said.

"Well you are worse than we are." The leader said after which Sougetsu suddenly stood up sensing something familiar.

"What are you trying to do, sit down... you aren't going to raise your hand on your employer are you." The leader said nervously, shaking in fear.

Haruto who was on the other side of the wall turned and held Renka by her waist then jumped back right after which the wall on there side broke and from it came two men one being beaten in such a way that his tooth broke and blood was leaking out of his mouth and the other man who had beaten was around the same height as Sakaki.

"That was a fast reaction you had but I could have saved myself." Renka complained blushing a bit when he held by the waist.

"I know but it's instinctive if anything." Haruto said, turning his attention to the person who came out of the wall.

"I thought I sensed Kensei's aura... But somehow it seems I mistook him for someone else..." Sougetsu said disappointed that it wasn't the person he was looking for.

"SOUGETSU MA!" Renka shouted looking at her uncle.

"I guess it's time for me to move on." Sougetsu said

"Hold on uncle!" Renka then jumped towards him with a flying kick in his direction. Haruto tried to stop her but she acted too quickly for him.

"Disgrace to the family! take that!" Sougetsu wasn't even fazed by her incoming attack and remain where he was.

"Renka stop!" shouted Haruto as he ran towards him while Sougetsu moved his hand caught her but before he could push her against the wall and hurt her badly Haruto immediately moved to save her.

[ Shundo! ]

Sougetsu looked at the speed in which he moved towards him and let go of Renka as he tried to catch it but Haruto has used his full strength and Sougetsu was immediately surprised and ducked stopping his action missing Haruto back kick as he caught Renka who was surprised when he appeared then stepped backwards so as to not get attacked by Sougetsu.

"You're too reckless! Can take care of myself, my ass! If I wasn't here you would have been seriously injured!" Haruto's brotherly instinct kicks in and scolds Renka who feels ashamed feeling the same way when she's around her sibling.

"And you! She is your niece you know!" Haruto said, still carrying Renka Ma in his arms.

"As far as I am concerned I don't have any blood relatives." Sougetsu said. Haruto let go of Renka Ma for a moment , stepping in front of her.

"Stay still. I'll handle this." Haruto warned her while Renka Ma heart didn't know what she was feeling.

"I hate people who lie to themselves. But I especially hate people who harm their family!!" Haruto removed his blindfold and revealed his eyes, shocking Sougetsu.

"You're a Wu clan member?" Sougetsu knew those clans had the signature inverted eye color but never red pupils. Renka Ma heard this and was surprised to hear that he was from Wu Clan!

"No, I'm not sure if I am one of them but that doesn't matter." He said taking a deep breath entering his [ Tempest State ] and using [ Ryuusui Seikuken ] and wanted to see how well he'll fare against someone with it. He didn't use [ Supreme Paragon ] for the time being.

"Because kicking your ass is what's important right now!"
