Chapter 52 - Chinatown
Haruto stealthily followed his Master Kansei Ma who acted strange ever since he learned about Ma Sougetsu. He use his experience from [ Raizo Template(A) ] that gave him close to Shigure's level of stealth and adding [ Concealed Presence ] added to his stealth
As he continues to follow him, he makes sure to not get caught by Master Kansei and takes it as a form of his training and keeps the maximum distance from Master Kansei he could keep without letting him out of sight while blending in the background.
As Kansei Ma takes a train ticket and enters a train, Haruto does the same but enters in a different compartment of the train. After exiting on a train station Haruto continues to follow him and they reach a place called Chinatown. When Haruto enters the place, Kansei Ma slips away from him
"Guess I still lack stealth huh, Kansei-sensei?" he said, glancing at where Kansei Ma appeared.
"Just when I was exiting the train station I saw your reflection on the exit gate of the station, before that I didn't know that you were shadowing me Haruto you did well for someone shadowing for the first time" Kansei Ma commending his skills in stealth.
"It was that you weren't vigilant as you never thought someone would follow you otherwise you would have caught me quite early." He added considering Kansei Ma focuses on Sei and was more perceptive but there most likely be his internal conflict.
"Well that's true but still you are quite good and you should accept that fact." Kansei Ma said.
"Then thank you, Kansei-sensei." said Haruto.
"Well you have come so far, so you can eat some Soba then go back home" Kansei Ma said trying to stop his disciple from following him.
"You know I'm as gullible as Kenichi." Haruto replied, giving a stern tone.
"It might be a little dangerous if you follow me this time.... I beg you to go home, my pupil" said Kansei Ma
"Don't worry Master Kansei, I have many ways to avoid any danger and don't forget I have many aces up my sleeves. Also, you're my master, how can I, your disciple, stand ideally?" Haruto said, crossing his arms and his master smiled.
"Alright but I really don't know what may happen so you will have to take care of yourself. Run if you need to." said Kansei Ma.
"Deal." Haruto replied with a smirk.
"Fine then follow me, since my little pupil tells me to throw him into a bottomless pit. Even if he dies, he says." says Kansei as he walked in the Chinatown
"Come on Master Kansei, be positive nothing will happen" Haruto said doubt will come to that. After walking around for sometime Kansei Ma takes Haruto to a place called "Imperial Wrath Chinese Restaurant"
"Huh….this is going to be my first time eating in Chinatown. This ought to be interesting. " Haruto said and Just at that time a bald man wearing specs with a long beard came out, looked at Kansei Ma.
"Oh, you decided it was time to come." He greeted the two of them.
"I have been neglecting visit, uncle "Hakubi"" Kansei Ma said
"Greetings, I'm Haruto Yuuki, a Disciple of Master Kansei Ma. It's nice to meet you." He did the same way of greeting his master, surprising the old man.
"What a polite disciple you have." The old man said and Kansei only thought of the times when he was trying to do his peeping.
'His far from polite!' He said seeing the smile on Haruto and quickly shifted his thoughts elsewhere.
"Anyway, His nickname is Hakubi and his real name is Ma ryo. He is the most knowledgeable man in the Chinatown ." Kansei explained to Haruto.
He nodded his head but didn't say anything and followed Kansei Ma inside the restaurant. As they say on the table Hakubi called some waiters to bring food on there table and within minutes their table was filled with Chinese delicacies.
"Wow, so many Chinese dishes. After following Master Kansei for this long I had started to feel hungry, thank you for the food Mr. Hakubi" Haruto said had his mouth watering.
"Hahaha..... it's alright" Hakubi said when he started to eat the dishes and was amazed by the flavor of the dishes, taking note which one was his favorite to cook later.
"Well Kansei, I can think of two reasons for which you may have come today. Did you come to know about Sougetsu?" Hakubi said while Haruto wasn't even listening and interrupting them simply enjoying the me.
"He is really in Japan!?" Kansei said in astonishment.
"Yes." Hakubi said
"If it's true then I have to meet him." Kansei said with a troubled expression.
"Is this wise? You can't just get away with visiting..... According to the rumors he is working with the Mafia or something" Hakubi said.
"Master Kansei, you still haven't told me about this Ma Sougetsu." Haruto asked, since it would be suspicious if knows about it without his master telling him.
"Ma Sougetsu! My long lost older brother!" Kansei replied.
"Your brother! Then Natsu told you about it, didn't he." Haruto said while eating the delicious food.
"You are only worried about your brother." A voice came from above the restaurant and Haruto realized what was about to happen next.
"Well there was another thought that occurred to me, about why you may have come." Hakubi said as the voice from earlier seemed to jump from the above floor and kick towards Kansei Ma.
Kansei Ma sided the kick while it landed on the table filled with food, Haruto took the bowl in his hand and pushed his chair backwards to not get caught in the fight.
"Hey, don't just randomly kick! I was enjoying that!" Haruto complained while still eating the food.
"I don't know who you are and where you are from but you have nice muscels. However, you will never kick me in a thousand years" said Kansei, then looking at the girl who kicked her.
"What what!" Kansei Ma shouted in shock at seeing the last person that he wanted to see!
"Are you so shocked to meet your daughter!? Papa" The girl said.
"Uhmm, you know her, Kansei Ma?" Haruto asked, munching on a piece of soup dumpling.
"She is my true daughter Ma Renka, age 16." said Kansei
"Really!? Wait, don't tell me you did the 'Getting the old milk' trope? " Haruto asked, looking at the young woman.
"In the mainland of China he has two wives and few more children" Hakubi mentioned.
"Well that is unbelievable knowing him he won't be satisfied with a single wife. Though, I doubt there taste." said Haruto as he stuffed his mouth with the food in the bowl in his hand
"Hey!? What do you mean!?" asked Kansei and Haruto pointed the chopsticks at Renka.
"All I am saying is that she is too beautiful to be your daughter."
Renka is a fair-skinned young girl of average size. She has bright blue eyes with upper-back-length purple hair constantly done up in an intricate braiding; it has two separate strands on each side of her head and one in the back (similar to cat ears and a tail), and and chin-length bangs hanging over her eyes with sideburns looping up her jaw. Similar to Miu, she sports a noticeably curvaceous frame and large bust.
Renka tends to wear revealing Chinese dresses, even at times appearing rather skimpy, that draw attention to her breasts and legs, suggesting she doesn't have much modesty. She also wears a golden bell behind each ear.
Ma Renka looked at Haruto for the first time and felt good after seeing a handsome teenager of his age complimenting her but she didn't forget what she came here for.
"You!? Just wait, I will triple your training regimen!" Kansei Ma said while Haruto tilted his head oblivious to what he had done when he was just being honest.
"Ya" shouted Ma Renka and she throwed Bolas in his direction when he was distracted by Haruto.(Bolas - A weapon with stone on one side and string attached to it)
Kansei Ma by reflex moved his hand to convert his face but the Bolas tied itself with his arm.
"You are going to go home with me this very day Papa, I went so far as to become exchange student In Japan just to look for Papa..... Since it was said that you come and go at uncle Hakubi's place, finally I found you." said Ma Renka and pulled the string of Bolas in her hand.
"Kansei is in big trouble." Hakubi said and Kansei looked at his disciple who was still sitting on his chair eating the last piece of the food in his Bowl and was pissed at him since he was so nonchalant.
"Accept it, you dirty old man." Ma Renka and Kansei had it enough first he kicked at one of the legs of the chair breaking it then cut the string on the Bolas.
"Give up." Kansei said as Haruto was able to stop himself from falling but was fumbling to get a better ground but Renka couldn't.
"Not yet" She shouted and threw more bolas in his direction. Kansei was ready for it and pulled the fumbling Haruto in front of him as the Bolas twisted around his neck.
"Master!?" Haruto said in shock since he could easily dodge but felt something had offset his sense. He knew that Kansei Ma had done something to his body to allow him to get caught.
"See you later, Haruto." said Kansei and ran from the restaurant with his baggage. Seeing him running like that, Haruto couldn't help but curse as he was
"Wait Papa!" Renka shouted but Kansei Ma had already disappeared from their sight. She got up and wanted to follow her but was stopped by Haruto.
"Oye wait up for me will yah."
"huh.... WHAT!? I have no time for you!!" Renka bellowed and Haruto shuvved then started to take the Bolas around his neck. After taking the Bolas from his neck he went out with Renka to look for Kansei Ma
"So why is that you want to take Master Kansei to China?" Haruto asked even though he already knew the reason.
"You don't know anything so you, Papa is the leader of 100,000 thousand followers. He is the highest official in the Chivalric order of Phoenix" Renka said as she kept running to find her Papa.
"100,000 martial artist followers that perverted old man? really?" Haruto said still can't believe someone like him has that many followers. He followed the Chinese girl and was frankly surprised how well her Japanese was.
"Yes, if you are talking about Ma Kansei of the Phoenix League there is no one in the world of Chinese martial arts that doesn't know him but that Papa of mine just left leaving a letter saying "It has been a pain" turned full control over to her and disappeared somewhere" Renka explained.
"Now that's the Kansei Ma that I know." Haruto said.
"By the way, where are we going?" Renka Ma said.
"Well Master Kansei was looking for his brother and if we can find his brother, then we will find him." Haruto answered.
"But how will we find Sougetsu Ma and by the way who are you" Renka asked as she stood in front of him.
"Me!? I am Haruto Yuuki, a disciple of Ryozanpaku which means I am your father's disciple" Haruto said cupping his hand and greeted her that impressed Renka by his gesture.
"Huh... you!?" Renka exclaimed then looked at Haruto and got a better look of his appearance, even slight blush affected by his pheromones.
'He definitely has a good face and his physique is quite good' She thought then punched him in the stomach but Haruto blocked out with his hands.
Renka didn't stopped there as she kicked him towards his face, Haruto backstepped and dodged the kick and gave a punch of his own towards Renka, Haruto's punch was Swift and fast not giving any chance to Renka for dodging or blocking it and just as it was going to connected with her face, Haruto stopped it and said with a smile.
"So did I pass your test?" He smirked at her after displaying some of his skills.
"You are strong alright." Renka said and took a step back from Haruto's first.
"Now to your other question, Old man Hakubi said that Sougetsu Ma is dealing with Mafia so all we have to do is find them and from then we will be able to find him"
"Gyah" a man shouted as he was thrown out of his shop and from inside came two men who could be easily identified as members of a Mafia group.
"See that we should ask them, I am sure they will know something about him." Haruto said, pointing towards the two Mafia men that were about to meet a world filled with pain.
