Chapter 40 - Unexpected event

Ghislaine was in the bathroom taking a deep bath and never expected to experience warm water without much effort. She never expected that a world without magic could produce something that is similar to it. Typically would take baths in rivers and other bodies of water to clean herself.
In her words, people provide water through magic allowing easy access but this was her first time to experience something like hot running late water. Though, she had taken a bath before in Haruto house when she decided to stay for a moment.
She leaned glance at her clothes and sword nearby thinking about how after arriving in the world experience new things nearly every time she visited. Ghislaine thought of her first impression of Haruto who had great promise in learning her techniques but also become a major power in her world if he resided there.
The sword king describes him as a righteous fool who would not kill and remained untainted yet had the power to end a life. Ghislaine was never affected by straining her hand with people's blood and her first time never felt any regret. In her world, it was normal to kill when defending yourself and typically face challenges from Bandits and other criminals. A soft heart can possibly survive for long.
"Why do you refuse to take a life?" She asked those words and Haruto shook his head at that time.
"I seek Mastery, not Power. It is easy to take a life but I've chosen this path to ensure that I am strong to protect not kill." Haruto said to her while she never understood why his eyes gave a firm and unwavering conviction that it was almost an oath to never take a life. This is what makes him interesting and Ghislaine likes this side of him unlike the man who took advantage of her.
Men normally fixated on grand ambition and at times would court her but she rejected them all only that person was lucky because she was careless at that time. Ghislaine never saw Haruto looking at her indecently even when she's up and personal would blush but quickly make her stop. She often finds herself wagging her tail when training him and now affected by the scent of a potential mate.
"Ghislaine, I have some clothes for you to wear. It would be bad if people see you almost naked." She heard the person himself.
"Come inside, I don't mind." Ghislaine suggested while Haruto shuddered hearing the slight sexual innuendo from her words but shook the thought of getting inside. His sense was sharp and can see things normal people can't but still far from perfect since he has to focus on the slight shift in the environment to "See" things.
"Here, I'm not sure it would be fine but I hope you won't be comfortable wearing this." Haruto said he was putting down the clothes that he bought from the system and wanted to leave as soon as possible.
"Wait before you go, can you scrub my back?" Ghislaine knew that he was a mind with urges but she's impressed that he is able to control himself unlike most men around her. Haruto inwardly sighs seeing there wasn't much choice.
"Sure thing." Haruto said moving closer where he was able to "see" her well developed back showed her years of training and dedication. Ghislaine felt his hand scrubbing her back feeling it was a lot different than the last time he had a man around her in an intimate situation.
"I've been wondering, where do you learn to fight?" Gjislained asked having seen him fight her with only his bare hands and showed incredible prowess in them.
"Ah, well I've been training in the afternoon at a dojo called Ryozanpaku. Perhaps I'll take you there next time." Haruto said thinking about how Shigure would react upon meeting Ghislaine since both are skilled weapon users.
"That would be great." Ghislaine enjoyed the moment and Haruto was fortunate that he can control his body and mind a lot greater than before. After some time, Haruto finished and left the bathroom with Ghislaine taking a quick glance then continuing washing herself.
He went to the living room to check on Mikan and saw that she wasn't there anymore. Haruto was about to look for her only for his phone to vibrate and saw an unknown number.

Haruto wondered how she got his number and thought that she might have investigated him a bit. He didn't mind fighting for her to help and gain experience. After replying and went to find Mikan when he opened the door to her room.
"Nii-chan!? I'm changing!" Mikan said showing her petite body and Haruto tilted his head.
"Why are you flustered? It's not like I haven't see—" Haruto felt something hard and understood that Mikan threw something.
"That's different! Just wait for me, once I'm done we can go grocery shopping." She said a bit flustered while Haruto shook his head giving a chuckle.
"Sure sure." Haruto left heading down stairs to wait for everyone and some time later, Ghislaine came out at the same time as Mikan with the sword king's hair still a bit wet and yet it was already like her original hairstyle wearing the sports bra.
"How's your outfit?" Haruto asked Ghislaine touching her chest.
"It does feel strange but the fabric is really comfortable." Ghislaine said while he nodded as they went their way towards town where the sword king experienced Japan train transport and saw countless new things.
She was a bit surprised when they headed to the market place to buy. She asked about the current system and compared it to her world where Haruto gave her insight into their system while also teaching her in arithmetic.
They bought a number of things until getting some lunch and got some lunch in a fast food restaurant, getting some for Rito who was at home. People were looking at Ghislaine but most of them thought she was cosplaying and didn't bother her, especially her intimidating presence.
Not only her but Haruto as well with his blindfold yet moving without any problem. Mikan wasn't much bothered since Lala also can gather quite the audience.
Ghislaine had some burger and soda where she looked at Haruto at how he was eating and unwrapped her burger where she was surprised upon taking a bite.
"Oh wow, this is delicious." Ghislaine commented where eyes were lit enjoying the taste of the meat and tasted the fries. Haruto smiled seeing her and enjoyed their food. Time passed by and they finished eating where they explored a bit showing her around. The three even got some Taiyaki as a snack and she enjoyed the taste of the chocolate. The trip stopped where Ghislaine and Haruto sat together on the bench while Mikan went to the bathroom.
"Soo, how was your impression?" Haruto asked while Ghislaine pondered for a moment.
"It's a lot different than my world. Everything seems more magical than my world even though you mentioned that this is not the result of magic which is still ahead to believe." Ghislaine shared her thoughts as she never expected that people can travel in the sky and arrive in different countries a lot quicker than her world.
"That's how it is and frankly I can't imagine a world with magic to not reach this heights a lot quicker is beyond me." Haruto commented believing a world with magic then his world would advance faster but then again humanity always find themselves killing each other.
"I'm curious about something." Ghislaine said, looking at Haruto who raised his eyebrow.
"What would that be?" He tilted his head wondering what she was about.
"Tell me honestly, do you find me appealing?" She asked since Haruto hasn't shown any reaction touching her body. Gjislained wondered if her body was to his liking.
"I do, why do you ask?" Haruto wondered why she was asking him about her appeal.
"You don't get aroused around me, only get flustered." Gjislained said while the young man questioned why his sudden luck with humans was increasing?
"I do but I'm controlling myself to not make you uncomfortable." Haruto immediately answered after his arousal but controlled his arousal using his [ Tranquil State ] and [ Supreme Body ].
"Is that so? I don't mind if it's you, Haruto. You don't realize this but you have been releasing a smell that made me feel more attracted to you." Ghislaine said while Haruto's mouth was about to say something yet words couldn't come out from his shock.
"Wait, are you saying you're interested in me?" Haruto asked to confirm since he's unsure about the situation that he was in.
"Yes, perhaps I'm just in heat but you have piqued my interest." Ghislaine said and Haruto certainly didn't expect things to go. Should he accept? Any man would say yes but he's troubled with his other relationship at the moment.
"I-I'm flattered but you hardly know me." Haruto said and she leaned closer to him surprising Haruto where she moved and pressed her body against his. The two were almost the same size and Ghislaine wanted to bite his neck much to his surprise. She uses touki and manages to pierce through his skin and leave a mark.
"W-Why did you bit me?" He flabbergasted, feeling her pulling back having a bite mark on his neck as it slowly healed itself leaving only a dent.
"My first encounter with a man was in the heat of the moment but you are a lot different." Ghislaine is essentially confessing that she is interested in him. Haruto couldn't understand and was about to say something when Mikan arrived.
"Nii-san? You seem flustered. Did I miss anything?" Mikan seems smug looking at Ghislaine and her brother noticing the chemistry. Haruto's expression quickly changes into a calm and serene state.
"It's nothing. Anyway, I had fun but I'll be heading back." Ghislaine said and said her farewell with them leaving Haruto with her tail wagging and Mikan giggling.
"You quit the player Nii-chan, not just Honoka but also your teacher. Who's next? Shigure-san?" Mikan teases him while Haruto rolled his eyes.
"Nah, you're next in the list if you keep teasing me." Haruto smirks seeing his sister blush and does it as a joke but Mikan's heart skips a beat.
"Hahaha you're too early to tease me. Anyway let's go home since Rito might be waiting for us." Mikan nodded a bit flustered as they soon got home.

Later in the night, Haruto had to excuse himself telling them that he was somewhere personal and headed to the location where Suoh had told him to visit. He wore a simple dark tank top and loose pants accompanied by a pair of sneakers.
'Is this her office?' Haruto thought about looking at the building that was rather close to his dojo. He went inside trying to find the place where he found the floor she was supposed to be in and knocked.
"Who is it?" He could hear her voice on the other side and was clearly tired. Haruto felt sorry for her, imagining graduating with a bright future only for things to go downhill and inherit something you don't want.
"It's me, Haruto Yuu—" before he could even finished the door flew open revealing Suoh in complete mess panting heavily with thick eye bags around her eyes.
"I'm glad you're here!" Suoh was on the verge of crying and Haruto gave a comforting smile towards her.
"No worries, anyway, what job were you talking about?" Haruto asked while Suoh nodded and was surprised looking at his appearance, blushing a bit since he looked extra attractive the last time she saw him.
'He looks manly….dammit focus Suoh!' She told herself and concentrated.
"Let's talk about it inside." She said as Haruto followed he enticing stockpiles of paperworks that she had been working on.
'Poor girl, now I know why she is considering ending her life.' Haruto thought to himself and sat down as Suoh asked if want some refreshment while giving some instant coffee.
"By the way, why are you wearing a blindfold? How are you able to see where you're going?" Suoh asked.
"Ah, just part of my training. Relax I can see a lot better this way as it sharpens my awareness in every direction." Haruto said and she only saw this kind of thing in a movie.
"So, tell me what I need to do for you?" Haruto asked while Suoh took a moment to relax and think thing through.
"The job I have for you might be dangerous but I have no other option and you feel free to decline." Suoh said while Haruto nodded as she began to explain the kengan matches and what he needs to do.
