Chapter Nine [ Explanations ]
Everyone gathered into the living room space of Lucifer's home . He flicked his wrist and the dinner everyone just enjoyed disappeared , along with its utensils and the dining table everything disappeared. The room returned to its original form , everyone was now situated on a light cream sofa set . Tyki and Kayna laid back on the corner sofa , spreading their bodies along the soft interior of the beautiful and exquisite sofa . Alek sat on their right side , in a arm chair of the same color , little foot stool directly in front of him , he put his feet on the stool and lolled back into the chair . Lucifer was situated in an identical chair as Alek , but he sat upright ,leaning to his side as he swished the whiskey in his glass , the ice clinking .
In front of the two pairs attached to the wall , portruded a Samsung 292 inch , massive silver coloured ,smart TV . Under the large television, stood a long gold and black embroidered mantel , a fireplace underneath burned with blue flames . The walls surrounding the room had paintings from famous artists and some unknown . In between the four people had a small glass table , its support a black metal stand that had small silver and gold leaves . The floor underneath them , was a dark caramel colored carpet , fluffy and smooth to touch , relaxing to feel ,it ran straight to the mantel and spread across the room .
"Ok I'm kind of wishing I didn't spend my two months , training with you down in tartarus. I know you're Lucifer King of hell but damn you sure are loaded ." Kayna said astonished as she experienced the inside of the manor for the first time . Above her hung a large crystal chandelier with gold trimmings , illuminating the spacious room . To her right a little further away , it appeared as though it had a mini bar installed , with a wall of different beverages behind the counter , the bar also blended in perfectly , with its light grey colour. Behind her was a hallway , paintings hung on each side of the peach colored walls as it led into an empty area , that had a large spiral staircase . The handles of the staircase was black and had silver and gold roses, green petals . The steps of the stairs were a light emerald green as it winded up to the floor above . The ground from behind the sofa , all the way into the hall a beautiful grey scale coloured tiles .
Lucifer sipped on his alcohol and looked amusingly at Kayna .
" I am also god of riches found in this earth , Kayna of course I'd have a nice home . " Lucifer reminded her .
" Yeah nice ." Kayna mocked, rolling her eyes at his modesty . " Hey , isn't the God of riches Hades? " Kayna asked a little confused . Lucifer rolled his eyes at how simple minded and oblivious Kayna was , no doubt a trait of her human ways .
" I am Hades . " Lucifer said , " I am all of those religious depictions you mortals have , combined in one . " Lucifer explained vaguely .
" Well I'll be damned , well kind of am already being a ghost and all . Still makes you wonder which religion got it right huh ." Kayna stated .
" I like history and all but I'd much rather like to know why I'm seeing my dead brother right now . "Tyki cut in , before the conversation could develop further.
" You saw a demon and a ghost and you know the King of hell and you're surprised to see that fool ? " Kayna asked a little astounded . Lucifer and Alek laughed aloud at the words Kayna had spoken but quickly shushed as Tyki , pulled out her gun and fired two shots , one in each side of the men heads .
" My next two bullets won't miss you . " She glared. " Answer my fucking questions ." She demanded her tone low .
Alek sighed at his sister's behaviour and frowned deeper as he pulled put a hundred dollar US bill and surrendered it to the Dark King . Lucifer very amused at the events unfolding chucked again as he collected his depth .
" Of course she'd shoot at us . " Alek mocked as he withdrew his empty hand . Lucifer pulled the bullet that was lodged into his chair out of its place he twirled the silver bullet between his thumb and index . He made eye contact with Tyki and a slow smirk found it's way to his face , he flicked the bullet towards her and it returned to her direction , with the same or even more speed as it had when it was released by the gun , the smoking bullet sizzled a bit as it stuck into the bottom of the sofa .Tyki already knew that a threat of a bullet wasn't much of a threat at all , especially to Lucifer still his comeback annoyed her .
" I didn't say it would hurt you ." She mumbled. Alek laughed in amusement as his sister pouted slightly . He looked at her and his eyes twinkled with happiness .
" Well Darling sister , there isn't much to be explained at all . Everything is rather simple I'd say . I came home early about a few months back , I wanted to surprise you guys and so I didn't tell anyone about it . I came home and everyone was out, so I thought at least. Father was in his study he was on a call , he was talking about how he wanted to trade younger girls instead because they fetched a higher price . He was in the human trafficking business. " Alek explained as he watched her expression closely , he didn't want to make her very upset or at all if possible.
Tyki simply nodded along and encouraged him to continue speaking . " I already about how much of a scum Father was , what really baffles me is why you're here with Lucifer and not out there ? " She asked pointing to the outside of the mansion, where the gates of hell separated them from the dead acting as a barrier .
" When I heard what Father had planned I was simply going to leave, there wasn't much I could do any way. Still he said something that made me pause, the man on the phone was worried about being caught but Father shushed him , saying that he had the best back up ever. He said that he had found a way to summon the devils from hell and that he already made a deal with Lucifer himself . " Alek stopped as Kayna brought over a cup of chocolate milk for him . He smiled and thanked , pulling her down to his current height , to give her a kiss . She smiled at him and returned to her seat . Tyki wanted to ask about that too , but she would do that after Alek explained everything else she was well aware that Lucifer was watching her , but she ignored him . " You know how much I love the myths sis , so naturally I was intrigued. I got enough information from Father to know what I should research to summon the Devil myself . So quickly I returned to college, but my new interest wasn't alarming to anyone because I've never told you all but ,I was studying mythology and history when I was there . Eventually I found the ritual and I summoned Lucifer , at first he denied me saying he wouldn't work with Families . " Alek explained and paused so she could process everything .
" Ok , so what happened, I mean you're here now . " Tyki questioned . She still wasn't sure she believed all of what he was saying , but still she knew Lucifer was real so by default, her brother was telling the truth and that confused her even more , a couple months ago she was oblivious to all of this , living her with her family in a mundane lifestyle, now she was in hell with the Devil himself . Lucifer was very amused, he knew very well that his little fox was having a tough time coming to terms with her situation and decided to tease her after all he was the Devil, was he not . He moved off his own chair and sat on the sofa near her . Effortlessly he placed her in his lap , ignoring the struggles and slight protest. Tyki would say that she was annoyed but even that would be understating her emotions. She was seething with anger , Lucifer was the reason her life was going to shit right and here he was acting as though, he wasn't. She settled herself, knowing that struggling against him wouldn't amount to anything, she instead opted to place the cold barrel of her gun in his temple .
" You might not die, but I will shoot you and I'm betting it will hurt . " She seethed . Lucifer's enchanting laugh filled the room, the sound echoing about .
" You truly are a little fox . " He said as his body shook slightly with humor. " You're brother summoned me and asked to be a follower of mine for the sake of his research into the supernatural lifestyle . Said that researching from the origin of the myths was the best way to go . He intrigued me greatly it had been more than millennia's since I'd stumbled across a human like him .As such I granted his request and turned him into a Demon, he decided to stay with me , saying that he was serious about being my follower and so he became a Doctor for Demons , my personal Demon Doctor . " Lucifer finished the story , he stroked her cheek , to comfort the emotions that threatened to rip her apart , though she herself were unaware of them . He completely disregarded the dangerous weapon pointed at him and the furious woman holding the trigger .
Alek picked up after Lucifer , Kayna now comfortable in his lap also , curled up in his chest his heartbeat lulling her . The sound of his voice comforting her .
" Yes he did , soon after though Cerberus became quite ill , Lucifer rarely went to the world above and as such Cerberus, had no fresh souls to consume and the souls from the river poisoned him . Lucifer asked me to help him and in return I asked if he would bring you here for me, I had hoped you'd stay . " Alek said uncertain , he knew that Tyki most likely wanted to rip his head off right now. " I'm not sure if you know , but Mother committed suicide a while after you left , Father had gone mad with fear . We collected their souls and Mother was ent to the Elysium Garden, I fed Fathers soul to Ceberus . " Alek shrugged indifferently and Tyki looked at the man who looked like her brother, but no longer seemed like him, just a stranger with a familiar face . Alek was aware of what she was thinking but he continued on , this was the way he wanted to be and no one would make him change that. Lucifer had warned him when he first requested his assistance , but he knew that she still deserved the truth .
" After you and Lucifer last met , he returned to gather souls in London, there he found Kayna and watched as she was murdered . . ."
" He gave me choice to move on after my revenge, but I'd decided to stay with him . I became what I am now and I have no regrets , my mortal life wasn't great , but it was good , yet I still have no regrets . We came back and Lucifer took me to tartarus and we trained , if I wanted to stay by my King's side , I had to be strong. Which is why Dylan isn't here , he too made the decision to stay with Lucifer, before we met you , we just met Dylan he was also being slaughtered , he took Lucifer's offer and became a demon , so now he must go off to train . When we see him again, Dylan might be as old as you and I, time flows differently in the Underworld, the only exception is in here . " Kayna explained, taking over from Alek . Tyki watched the three people in the room and thought about everything she heard .
" Just what the hell is even going on right now. " She said exasperated .
