Chapter 44

The next day dawned with a sense of normalcy. I awoke naturally, went through my morning routine, and had breakfast before heading off to school.

As I settled into my seat, the anticipation of what the day held filled the air. Aizawa, the ever-nonchalant teacher, finally entered the room, his demeanor as deadpan as ever, his expression matching the tone of his voice.

The announcement he made caught everyone's attention, sparking a wave of excitement and chatter among the students.

"For today's Basic Hero Training," Aizawa began,

"All Might, myself, and another hero will be supervising you guys as we prepare you for disaster relief, from fires to floods."

He held out a card, emphasizing his next words, "It's rescue training!"

The room buzzed with energy, the prospect of real-world training capturing everyone's focus. But Aizawa's voice cut through the rising enthusiasm,

"I am not done yet." With a press of a button, a previously hidden wall slid open, revealing our hero costumes neatly displayed.

Aizawa's explanation continued,

"You will have the option to wear your uniform or your Hero Costumes. For some of you, your uniforms are not suitable for today's training, but it's not my decision."

His words left a mix of relief and curiosity among us. As he mentioned the off-campus location of the training facility, the thought of a field trip seemed to elevate the excitement further.

The notion of donning our Hero Costumes had me glancing at mine, momentarily contemplating whether I should wear it today. While the idea was tempting, I decided to opt for my uniform – a choice that was met with nods of approval from my fellow students.

Aizawa's final words echoed in the room, "I will take questions when we arrive,"

before he turned and left the classroom, his usual disinterested demeanor evident even in his exit. As the room began to clear out, my eyes met Momo's gaze.

There was something different in her expression today, a shy and almost hopeful look that hadn't been there before.

All of the students were excited... I was excited too but for an entirely different reason. I put on my armor like the others and joined them on the bus.

I have to say... I needed to make some friends. Momo came and sat beside me, soon all of the students had boarded the bus

Upon our arrival at the colossal dome known as USJ, the name given by the 'UA staff,' we were greeted by the Space Hero Thirteen.

Ochako's joy and excitement at seeing her were as palpable as in the canon, her exuberance contagious. Aizawa's gaze scanned the area, searching for a familiar figure, yet coming up empty – All Might was conspicuously absent.

Seeking an answer, Aizawa directed his inquiry toward Thirteen. The hero explained that All Might had expended much of his time for the day and was currently resting in the lounge.

With the information delivered, Aizawa shifted his attention back to us, ready to commence the training session with only Thirteen and himself present.

"Well, if that's the case then..." Aizawa's sentence was cut short by the sudden flickering of lights. Both Aizawa and Thirteen looked around, their senses heightened, until their focus settled on the source of the disturbance – the fountain.

In a dramatic display, a dark portal materialized before us, steadily expanding. A hand emerged from the portal, followed by a figure, its face obscured by yet another severed hand.

The portal's dimensions grew with each passing moment, releasing a steady stream of newcomers until a full-fledged horde had emerged.

Amidst the growing chaos, Aizawa's usual bored and detached demeanor gave way to a stern expression.

His voice carried an urgency as he commanded us to gather together and remain still, his authority palpable even amidst the unfolding spectacle.

The sudden turn of events had left many of us puzzled, struggling to comprehend the situation.

Eijirou's voice broke through the confusion, his grin hinting at a mix of excitement and surprise. His words mirrored the thoughts of many students, who had anticipated a day of rescue training, now faced with the unexpected twist of combat.

"Don't move!" Aizawa shouted again while he put on his goggles. "Those are villains!"

"Villians?!!" The students gasped, only now they understood the meaning of the serious expression on Aizawa's face.

This immediately turned their mood from excited to serious.

Of course, they would be scared and nervous, even if we were training to become heroes, we have never faced a real villain.

Yes, fighting against each other under other's supervision and fighting are villians are different.

Amidst the growing turmoil, a gentle touch on my hand jolted me from my thoughts.

I turned to find Momo at my side, her expression a mix of concern and unease.

Her grip on my hand was hesitant, as if seeking reassurance in the midst of the unfolding chaos.

Caught in her gaze, I offered a small, reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, we'll get through this,"

I said, my voice as calm as I could manage given the circumstances. My attempt to ease her worries was met with a grateful nod, her eyes reflecting a mixture of relief and determination.

The thought crossed my mind,

"Is she getting too close to me?"

It was a question I hadn't anticipated asking myself so soon. But as the world around us grew increasingly chaotic.

I kept analyzing the villains that came out of the portal, none of them were important in the slightest.

They were just plain and simple mob if they were going against a top hero but neither Aizawa nor Thirteen are one of them.

Aizawa can fight someone one on one. Maybe take two or three enemies at once like he did in canon but he would still come short against the numbers they had brought.

More and more villains kept coming out of the portal until a particularly huge purple manlike creature with an exposed brain came out of the portal and stood beside Tomura 'The Man Child'.

"What are you doing, kid? I told you to stay together—"

Aizawa's words were cut short as my determination pushed me forward, step by step, through the swirling chaos.

Aizawa's eyes narrowed, his initial surprise giving way to a calculating gaze. I could almost hear his thoughts churning as he assessed the situation.

Meanwhile, the horde of newcomers continued to close in, their eerie presence a stark contrast to the controlled dance of iron around me.

"Are you crazy? This isn't training. These are real villains! Just stay with the rest of the students and wait for other teachers to arrive while I hold them off!"

Aizawa said as he was prepared to grab on my shoulder to stop me but all of a sudden a wall made of iron sand rose up from the ground and stopped his hand from reaching me.

"Wait for the teacher?! The villains were ready for this... did you hear the alarm? Or how did they even know that we would be here? Don't you see they wanted us here... trapped!"

I said. I stopped myself at a reasonable distance from the horde of villains. This seemed to shock Aizawa and Thirteen even more.

"kai!"

"What are you doing kai?"

"He is just a student. No matter how much confidence he has in himself, there is still the fact that he is only one person" Shoto said in his usual emo mode.

"Tch, that bastard gonna get himself killed" I didn't even need to look around to see who this person was. It could be the one and only Villian in making Bakugo.

"Thirteen! Protect the students and get out of here, I will go and get the kid!" Aizawa said and started to come downstairs.

"Look Kurogiri, a brat thinks he could defeat all these villians. You think All Might would show up if we kill him and the other students?"

Tomura asked Kurogiri while staring at me. Kurogiri didn't give him a reply, he must be analyzing me, I knew from the anime that he was much more calm-minded and clear thinker than the 'Man Child'.
