PART 108

The boy left Aurora.

" Are you okay?" He asked.

" Yeah. Thank you." Aurora replied.

" Who are you by the way? I have never seen you before." Sofia asked raising her one brow.

That boy chuckled. " I'm new here. Seeing you badge I can say, I'm your senior." He said.

" Hearing you accent I guess you are from America?" Aurora said. That boy seemed nervous hearing that. He again chuckled to ease his nervousness. Aurora could feel that but she shrugged the doubt thinking maybe he was feeling nervous as he was new.

" Yeah. I'm American. I'm Ryan by the way. May I know your name?" He asked directly looking at Aurora.

" Aurora. She is Sofia." Aurora replied.

The class bell rang at that time.

" Nice meeting both of you. See you around." Ryan said.

Aurora and Sofia nodded. Ryan was about to go but he turned around and said, " By the way Aurora, you have a quite charming aura." He smiled saying that and left the place.

Aurora felt her cheek warming and she looked down. It's not that she didn't get compliments but the way that boy looked at her and said those words really made her heart fluttered.

" Did he just flirt with you?" Sofia said and looked at Aurora and found her blushing.

" O my god! My besty is blushing! What the hell!" Sofia screamed.

Aurora hold her and said, "Ssshh dummy. Everyone will hear you. Let's go to class." They went to their class.

It was break time. Aurora and Sofia were in the cafeteria taking their lunch.

" Can I sit here?" They heard a voice saying that. Both of them looked up only to find Ryan standing there with his lunch.

" Why? Don't you have any friends?" Sofia asked. Aurora chuckled hearing that.

" Umm.. not yet. So am I allowed or not?" Ryan asked indicating he could sit or not.

" Yeah. Take a seat." Aurora said. Ryan sat beside Aurora and Sofia smirked seeing that.

" So we can call you Ryan right? Or you need honorifics?" Aurora asked.

" Ryan will do." He said smiling.

" Which grade are you in exactly?" Sofia asked.

" 11th. Why do you sound like you are inquiring every time you ask something?" Ryan asked.

Aurora chuckled hearing that and Sofia gave him a side eye. " She is like that. Don't mind. Why did you move in this grade? Isn't it a crucial time for students as you have to take preparation for you exam in 12th?" Aurora asked.

Ryan again seemed nervous. " Family purpose actually." He said looking back at his food. Aurora didn't push him further.

" It will take time for you to settle down in this school. Hang on till then." Aurora said smiling.

" I have got you two with me right? Won't you help me to fit in this school?" Ryan asked looking at Aurora.

Aurora smiled. " Sure. It won't be a problem." They talked more and took lunch.

Aurora and Sofia was going back home. Sofia will stay with Aurora today.

" Do you have a crush on him bestie?" Sofia asked.

" On whom? Ryan?" Aurora asked looking at her.

" Yeah. He is the only boy you have ever talked this much in one day." Sofia said rolling her eyes.

" I don't know if it's a crush or not but I haven't feel uncomfortable and he was alone so that's why I accompanied him."

" But you do remember that we have to keep ourselves safe from strangers right? We have life risks buddy."

" No one knows my actual identity idiot. How can they target me then? I haven't feel him risky."

" I'm not saying anything as long as it's just friendship but if your relation becomes more than that we have to be sure that he is a green flag for you."

" Okay okay my grandmother. Enough of your lecture. We will see about that." Aurora said chuckling.

" Look at yourself. You didn't even oppose that nothing will happen between you two more than friendship. Shameless! Already fallen for a boy she has just met." Sofia said teasing Aurora.

" Don't say that! I just want to see where this goes. I will not court him but if he does I wanna know how far he can go."

" Oww..our angel is being cunning huh?" Sofia said laughing. Aurora laughed too hearing her best friend.

Few days passed. Aurora and Ryan got more closer in these days. Ryan always made Aurora laugh saying many things. At first Sofia was unsure about Ryan but seeing her best friend that much happy she shrugged her worry. They started hanging out together. Going to different place, Aurora and Sofia gave Ryan a tour of the city. Ryan always gave hints about him liking Aurora but Aurora ignored it. She wanted him to make the first move. Maybe she will accept?

It was a weekend when Auroras dad came back from Australia.

Aurora ran towards her dad. " Dad! I missed you so much! How are you? How long you are going to stay?" Aurora asked jumping like a bunny while hugging her dad.

Mr. Mariano chuckled. " I have missed you too angel. Stop jumping like a bunny now. You will get hurt."

" I will never get hurt in presence of my dad!" She said continuing jumping.

Mr. Mariano felt his heart warming hearing that. " Okay okay. I'm totally fine. I'll be here for a long time now. We can spend time as much as we want okay?"

Aurora started jumping more excitedly. " Then I should start planning many things. We should go for a picnic! Oh! We will invite Sofia and her family too." She said excitedly.

" Yes yes angel. We will do everything you want. Now let me go and get freshed okay? We will take dinner together okay?"

" Okay." Aurora said smiling while breaking the hug.

" All the things you listed are in those luggage. You can see them in the mean time."

" No. I'll see them tomorrow with Sofia. Go first. I'll wait for you."

They both had dinner. They talked on various things. Mr. Mariano helped Aurora to know about business as she was interested in it. She learnt quite fastly.

Time went by and Ryan, Aurora got more closer. Aurora was now sure of her feelings for Ryan. Ryan always makes her heart fluttered. She is just waiting for Ryan to propose her. Sofia was happy for her best friend too.
