111 Ruined your perspective

The two of them climbed up the stairs as Xua Ying Yue looked at the pictures that were hung on the side of the staircase. In some, she could see a young Zou Zeming playing with his parents and in some she could she could see him standing with his parents and a man who seemed a bit older than him. Most likely he was Zou Zeming's older brother. 

In the picture Zou Zeming was smiling brightly while holding a golden trophy in his hands, his father was patting him on the head while his mother hugged him. However, as the two of them reached the end of the staircase, Xua Ying Yue's eyes fell on the new photo that seemed to have been placed just a few months ago. 

In the picture, only Zou Zeming and his mother stood next to one another and even though he was smiling something seemed to have vanished from his eyes. 

Xua Ying Yue glanced at the picture before turning to look away, she followed Zou Zeming without asking anything. As grief was something that cannot be shared no matter how much people say that it would be halved if they were to share it. 

If anything sharing one's grief only made the others get leverage over them. 

Zou Zeming brought her to his study, the room was small but it was still bigger than the room where Xua Ying Yue and her sister lived together. There was a big bookshelf which was filled with books that Xua Ying Yue had never seen in her life, a desk sat inside the room with a chair behind it. On the desk was a vase which held begonias causing the room to be filled with their scent. 

"Here it is," Zou Zeming walked around the table and then held out the DNA report that he had received earlier this morning. He slid it over the table's surface, and the report came to a stop right in front of Xua Ying Yue who picked it up and then started reading through the results. Sure enough, it was just as she expected Qi Yuyan and Ma Yao to be related. 

Their relationship matched by almost 99.9% leaving no doubts behind. 

"Thank you," Xua Ying Yue held the report in her hands as she closed it shut after she was done reading. "I owe you one comrade Zou." 

Zou Zeming looked at Xua Ying Yue. Then he hummed and looked at the report in her hands before saying, "I didn't think that you would be willing to help someone. You have gone to great lengths to bring that adulterous couple to justice, I have to say that I am quite pleased to see that you are dabbling your hands in something nice for once." 

When Xua Ying Yue heard his words, she raised a brow and then stated, "I am doing this as a favour and not because I want to do some good for this rotten world. It's a deal, in exchange for which I will get something." 

Her response brought a little frown on Zou Zeming's face, which caused Xua Yue Ying to curl her lips in a mocking sneer as she questioned, "What's wrong? Did I ruin my perspective in your mind again, comrade Zou?"
