5 Learning Rune Magic (Part 1)

'He must be that tired for doing a lot of paperwork like this. If I can help him…' Chris murmured on his own mind, showing a sign of sadness from his face as his expression was darkened.

"There is no need for you to worry me so much, Mr. Jansen. Anyways, I have hired someone who could use the Rune Magic. And I think that she is on the way towards this place right now."

Chris had expressed his confusion by rolling his eyes above and scratching his left chin by using his left thumb. Thus, it led the old man to chuckle, and he pointed Chris's back by using his right thumb. And he remarked,

"She is your personal instructor for your Rune Magic until you are graduated. Leinstern Hora."

"Yo, Chris." The lady yelled friendlily, which led him to look back.

Chris looked back timidly. Then, he replied to her formally and with an awkward smile drawn in his face while waving his left hand as he looked at that lady,

"Hi, Miss. Hora."

She ran towards him. Snuggled his head to her right armpit as she stated friendlily to him,

"I have been searched for you for these months. And I managed to found you at last."

"For what? I don't even know you apart of being a weird-ass lecturer who seemingly being too friendly to me." He complained about his left face being stuffed by her breast and her weird friendliness to him. But, it had reminisced him to a memory…

'Hey, it's me. Hora, You can just call me Hora. No need to be formal, guild master Jansen.'

Then, another flash of memory that suggested which she introduced herself in front of him with the place where he stood, and she knelt with respect as she swore to him,

'I, Leinstern Hora. The Rune Knightess and the Healing Magus. Will serve Chris Jansen as the servant and the lone bodyguard who shall become the one's shield for eternity.`

Thus, it woke him up, which led him to react,

"I don't really know about you, seriously! Stop doing this sexual harassment, or I will slam you with my magic!"

"She is your childhood friend, don't you forget about it? Mr. Jansen." The old man reacted while chuckling upon saying those. Thus, Chris looked at him as his left face was still being stuffed with the woman's squishy part on the right. He answered him,

"I swear for real, foster dad! I don't even know who she is!"

"IAM YOUR LITTLE GIRLY BUDDY LEIN, YOU IDIOT!"

"Ouch! That must be hurt!"' Elea reacted while covering her head timidly as she had seen the lady who seemed to be a gentle and yet, friendly woman. But it turned out that she was a monster in front of Chris.

However, she continued the punch that she landed on the poor Chris's head by rubbing her fist to it. It led the guy to yell painfully as the rubbing continues.

"`A dragon can be tamed by a shield.` I never thought that it is really a thing." Professor Kijorn reacted as he had seen the lovely quarrel between two long-lost childhood friends, which led him to laugh gleefully.

He looked at both of them, who glared at each other. And he started to talk,

"I am here to gather you both... Is because that Mr. Jansen had unlocked Rune Magic."

Leinstern was removing Chris from her armpit gently as she heard those. Thus, she looked at Chris, who tried to restore his composure after being shaken for a few minutes already. She questioned him with her eyebrows being risen,

"Really?"

"Long story short, Lein," Chris replied to her while tidying up his hair by using his bare hand.

Thus, she looked at him. Then, looked at the old man. After that

She placed her left thumb finger to her chin and scratch it as she was thinking.

Few minutes had passed, and enlightenment flashed on her mind as she said,

"I think I can make him learn at least one magic from rune code within ten minutes."

Chris looked at her, and he commented with his eyebrow raised out of his unsatisfied answer,

"Bullshit! Don't play around with the magic learning, doing in the wrong step, and you will get knocked down like me!"

"No! I'm pretty sure that this will work!" Professor Hora replied to him confidently as she looked at him. Thus, she took the other balm from her left hood pocket by using her left hand, and she gave it to him.

"This…"

She encouraged him by nodding her head excitedly that led her extremely straight hair to waving around wildly as she stated to him,

"Remember what I told you that I will find the way to cure your extreme headache when you cast your magic?"

Hearing that, Chris sighed, and he replied to her,

"There is no need for this, Lein. It's incurable."

"There is nothing uncurable. Not even a birth defect that not curable in the hands of the medic!" She exclaimed on him confidently.

Chris looked at that black-colored balm bottle that has a black color with a round shape. It was held in his left hand, which led him to wonder,

'I remember that Lein never learned such a thing before since her family is the military family. But, how did she learn this? Did a time paradox happen? Or it just me, the one who reborn in the different story?'

"Apply some in your head." She requested in a confident tone.

'Well… I think… I can trust this hyperactive girl… What good memories… I'm the one who fears anything versus her who fears nothing. She even tried the poisonous blood snake just to prove to me that it was fine. I remember that both of us were scolded at the same time by my dad after we stole my favorite pomegranate in the neighborhood… What memories…' He looked at that balm and smiling at it amusingly.

He put his right hand on the top of the balm. Then, he spun it counterclockwise gently with the "Plung!" voice heard clearly.

After that, he observed that green-colored liquid beneath it.

'It smells… Funny.' Chris whispered in his mind when he stated that. Thus, he plunged his right middle finger, spun it slightly, and pull his finger out. Therefore, he applied the green liquid to his forehead and spread it thoroughly using his index and middle finger.

Thus, she pulled the rustic-colored book from her right hoodie pocket with a strange mark on its cover. She handed it to Chris while saying,

"This is the book guide about the Rune Code. There is no such fixed pattern for the magic. You need to think it yourself, which is why many people didn't want to master the Rune Magic."

Chris accepted the book, taking it by using his right hand. He looked at that rustic book with a strange mark on it. He whispered on his own mind,

'Ah… I remembered that Elea complained about her rune magic being too hard to learn. But Rune Magic's versatility is something that the one who had a magical impairment like me could use as the supplement of my magical casting. By other means, it's possible to learn the magic for a guy like me. But, it will be very challenging thanks to the complex runic code that I had to learn.'

"By the way, someone who had the innate talent of Rune Magic…"

"He had it!" Professor Kijorn sliced her words as she wanted to say something about it.

The lady looked at the professor with that statement being told. She replied to him with a question mark,

"Really?"

"I'm very sure about that." He replied to Professor Hora with confidence which led the lady to say,

"Buddy. Try to use Amun - If - Dokhn - Jaka!" She yelled at him excitedly.

'Man… For real… I never use those alien terms before!' Chris reacted in his mind and smiled at her awkwardly as she looked at that weirdly active lady.

Knowing that Chris would not understand about it. She demonstrated the magic to him in an expectation that he would understand at least a basic of it.

She started the movement by clenching her fist then move it to the front with the clenched palm at the top.

"Ngiiig!"

The dark magic circle with complex runic code being written on it was shown as the gesture created.

"This is what you called it as the Rune Magic, Chris!" Professor Hora explained to him excitedly. Thus, she continued with the bumping fist between her right and her left hand, which caused the spark of fire to be revealed between the fist.

She continued it by extending her fist out to let the palms meet with the left palm on the bottom, the top palm on the top. Thus, she moved directly to Chris's front with the lady enchanted,
