I Lost Everything… I Can’t Lose You Too

[TAMIKO]

"What brings you this early to Grealor, your Highness?" Gabriel asked and Lord Sadako looked at the young werewolf.

"We brought you our prisoner back, and Grealor hasn't written a formal explanation on why the hell one of our Lycans was dead on your borders. Have you found the real culprit? Because the last time I was here, you told me that Tamiko didn't do it.

"So, I ask again, who the fuck killed my warrior?" Lord Sadako asked and the only thing Tamiko could let out was a faint "Shit."

"We have not concluded the investigation yet, Your Highness. We have been a little held up with the chaos in the pack. However, we will conclude the investigation in a week and let you know what we find," Gabe said and Sadako let out a dark chuckle.

"Let me get this straight. You… A mere werewolf alpha, is telling me, a Lycan Lord, to wait, when your people killed one of my own?" Lord Sadako asked and instinctively, Kosta held Tamiko, taking a few steps back in the process.

Kosta had seen Lord Sadako angry and if there was someone that scared the barbaric Igor other than the dark king, then it had to be the calm Lord who always had a pretty smile on his face, only that this time, there wasn't a smile.

There was a dark smirk.

"Come on, Lord Sadako. You know we will investigate the issue as soon as possible. We are dealing with two murders in the pack, not to mention, my father is hospitalized. So, excuse me if a dead Lycan isn't on the top of my list right now," Gabe said.

Gasps were heard around the room.

No one had ever talked to Lord Sadkao like that and for a moment, Sadako felt bad for the boy. He knew this had to be hard on the young alpha, but considering what the bastard had done to his nephew.

He wouldn't forgive the disrespect.

"You're right. I should be more understanding," Lord Sadako said before he lunged on Judd, who was nearest to him, thrust his claws into the unexpecting warrior's heart, plucked the tiny organ out, and dropped it on the floor, before burning it to a crisp.

Judd wasn't even able to register what had happened to him because in an instant, he was on the ground, burning too, while everyone else in the room stared in shock. This was nothing that Tamiko imagined, but he didn't say a word.

"A life for a life, young alpha. Now I can say that my warrior's life had been avenged. But the disrespect you showed here today, will not be forgiven or forgotten, Gabriel. You and your little band of wolves are officially enemies of the Lycan kingdom.

"I know you heard that we Lycans kill for sport, but ever since the incident twenty-five years ago, none of us found that sport interesting again. But you people, killed one of our own, young alpha.

"You know what that means, right? And if you don't, let me spell it out for you. Any Lycan can kill a Grealor wolf for sport and won't be brought to justice, young wolf. You didn't do anything when your wolves killed one of our own.

"Consider this Kawai returning the little beautiful favor you did for us. Also, I hope you won't mind that Igor Konstantin stays here. He is my Tamiko's erasthai, and according to the Grealor laws, Tamiko is a part of Grealor and protected by Grealor.

"I'll be on my way now. You guys can continue whatever you were doing. Excuse me," Lord Sadako said as he created a portal and disappeared through it, leaving behind a mess and a screaming Judd's mate outside.

Tamiko looked at where his uncle had portaled out, then he watched Judd on the floor, or whatever had remained of him there. It was a heartbreaking sight and Tamiko wondered if this was what heartbreak felt like.

He knew it wasn't going to be easy, because as it was, the Hinata royal family had taken out three elite wolves of Grealor and paralyzed one. It was an insane time they lived in, but why was it relieving for Tamiko?

"Oh Gabriel, this is getting more and more interesting," Tamiko stated pitifully.

His concern for Gabriel was genuine. He was worried for the man because of everything and the fact that they had been made targets, made Tamiko want to comfort him. Maybe Gabe really needed a shoulder to lean on this time, right?

"Oh, really now, huh? This… all of this, is your doing!" Gabe said angrily, letting his rage blind him for the first time since yesterday. He had lost so much, he had endured so much and had been reduced to nothingness, yet here he was.

"You orchestrated this. You killed people I cared about and killed another one now. Judd's death? This is on you, but I know you won't try to acknowledge it, because you're a fucking coward!" Gabe accused.

He was currently standing in front of Tamiko, holding the Lycan by the collar yet there wasn't a thing that seemed to affect the dark king's son. It was almost like all of this, was just a way for Tamiko to enjoy the eternal life he was born into.

Tamiko was calm, eerily calm even as she watched his mate go nuts over him. He didn't care about what Gabe said and maybe that was why he was watching with amusement. But even if he was amused, he wasn't showing it one bit.

"You have a thing for bad decisions… Gabe. Don't blame me for it," Tamiko said, instantly shutting Gabe up. It wasn't because of what he said, but because of how Tamiko had pronounced his name.

For years he had wished to hear Tamiko call him that. He had hoped and prayed for the day the outcast he had fallen in love with would call him 'Gabe' instead of Gabriel. He had always been called with spite, yet today was different.

Tamiko had not been cruel when calling him, instead, he had been kind, almost like he understood Gabe so well. But how would someone who had put him through so much pain understand what he was going through?

Then again, hadn't Gabriel been the first one to hurt Tamiko through and through?

"Gabe?" Gabriel asked as he released Tamiko's collar, if anything, fixed it before taking a step back. Anyone would think that the two were affected by their mate bond, but then there wasn't a thing that would make Tamiko look at Gabe that way.

"Isn't that your name?" Tamiko asked, his voice softening as he watched the wolf. He wasn't intending to cause Gabe any more pain today and frankly, he wanted to leave and go back to his shelter, or maybe they could go bounty hunting with the Lycan chief.

"You never called me Gabe…" the young Alpha said, his mind getting fuzzy again. He couldn't think straight with Tamiko, and it was unsettling for him. But then it wasn't like he could deny that he still had some affection for the young wolf.

"I'll be going now, Gabriel. Mourn your dead… and my condolences," Tamiko said as he made his way out with Igor following.

"Please… I have… I have lost everything, Iko. Please, I can't… I can't lose you too," Gabe pleaded as he fell to his knees.

Ah Gabriel... why are you making me go soft for you :(
