Chapter 1: PROLOGUE

On a silent night when breezes were mild and cold with a tint of sadness in the air, the atmosphere was moist, as if it had recently rained. Amidst the cold and silence, a boy stood in front of a lying figure on the damp road.

"Hah hah hah haah haa haha. I-I--I k-killed him? I-I-I killed a person? Ha hah hah, but why do I feel---I feel so haah haha hahahahahahahahahahah AAHAHAHAHAHAH BUT WHY DO I FEEL SO HAPPY? I just killed a living human." The boy laughed maniacally.

"Maybe I feel no remorse because you deserved it, haah?" He kicked the dead body in the head and said,

"Oye? Why are you not saying anything? Haah? Why aren't you arguing back now? Weren't you going to kill my family? Weren't you going to destroy the company?"

The boy squatted down beside the body and whispered, "Look who is dead now. You shouldn't have done that; perhaps you would have been alive now, wouldn't you?"

The boy looked at the body's face. "Oye oye, what's with your arrogant look? Even your corpse is annoying me."

He stood up, gazing at the corpse with a twisted expression, a mixture of joy, nervousness, sadness, and a hint of evil.

"F**king bst*rd!" He kicked the corpse away.

The boy reached into his pants pocket, took out a cigarette, and lit it up. He puffed a mouthful of smoke. Poof "Hahh, finally I did it. However, what next? Should I surrender to the cops? Surely not; I would get at least 10 years of imprisonment. I still have to get my college degree."

The boy looked at the corpse and sighed. "What a bothersome task. What should I do? The corpse can't be left out."

He went towards the corpse, took everything valuable, and took out his phone. Seeing it was locked, he looked at the corpse and its hand. He took the thumb and unlocked the phone.

"Hah! What useless security." He checked the phone and found nothing.

"What a letdown. I can't transfer the money to my bank or else I would be inviting the cops. Hmmm? What's this? WTF? This b**tard was hiding such a thing inside the calculator app?"

The boy was surprised to see an app inside the calculator. It was Tryst wallet, a wallet used to invest in various cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. However, having crypto is illegal.

"This... she surely is deeply hidden, having such a guy to aid her... No wonder the resources..." The boy pondered for a second, then took out his phone.

"I can easily transfer all these coins to me since crypto transactions are untraceable. Hahaha! All these cryptos are mine. It is worth at least 100 billion USD."

He quickly transferred all the cryptos to his wallet, then tied the corpse with a thick rope and attached it to a big rock. He walked forward and looked down the bridge.

"No one should get anything." He used all his strength to throw the huge rock down the bridge. It weighed more than 3 tons. Thankfully, he was a science student and was able to throw it all down at once.

"Hooof! Thankfully the bridge is still not developed or else it would have been a bother."

Splash As the rock and corpse fell, he looked down the bridge and smiled before walking away.

"Goodbye, the past me."
