"The General wants her to do it."

A gasp was audible in the room, especially from Brianna.

"What?" the woman asked, her eyes widening. "You must be mistaken, commander. I'm usually the one who always does it. Why all of a sudden the General order this foolish slave to serve him?"

"It's not my place to question that, Lady Brianna," Octavianus replied flatly. "I'm only doing what was ordered by the General."

Brianna, still unsatisfied with the Commander's response, continued her protest.

"But— but this girl doesn't know the General's habits. What if she makes a mistake?"

Octavianus didn't answer. He just turned to Annica and snapped, "What are you waiting for? Gather yourself and follow me."

"Y-yes, Commander," Annica nodded. Shaking and trembling, she forced her shaky body to rise.
