Giving him a cold shoulder

After what felt like an eternity but was only a few minutes, Maximus finally smelt the scent of his subordinate and he rushed to the side without wasting a single second.

"What was that all about?" Roy and Nickolas asked Delilah, who was standing there equally confused.

However, she was confused about something completely different.

Who was that man? Why does he appear whenever she needs help? What were all those men around her doing?

First, it was that witch, the one with the blue rose who saved her from the rogues, killing them without blinking his eyes, then it was this man with those intense gazes who saved her twice.

"Hey, you look quite out of it. Are you really okay?" Nickolas asked, shaking her shoulders, and Katherine shook out of her reverie.

"I just felt like someone was here," she muttered under her breath, but it was loud enough for Roy and Nickolas to hear.

"Here? We didn't see anyone," Roy said and Katherine sighed.
