Vanishing Smoke

One by one, Ryu Ji an’s family has gone missing. Only one body was found, the rest were lost, or they vanished. Is there a possibility that somewhere, somehow, her loved ones are still among the living? If they are alive why haven’t they returned to her? The question, “Will I be taken too?” haunts her. If she is taken will she be reunited with her family or will she meet the same fate that took them? She is hounded by a strange voice with disembodied strong arms. These arms have held her every time she has lost someone. Every time, the voice tells her, “You will survive this.” Will she? Can she? Her uncle, her last living relative, is believed to have died in a fire, leaving Ji an orphaned. His spirit appears to her, but his body is not found. Some believe it was destroyed in the fire. Was it? Does she want to know the truth? Is she willing risk finding the truth? She doesn’t know. All she knows is that her rural home is gone and she is left alone in the world.
