Gheata

There he is on my land in his wolf form. I thought he said he could've controlled it. Now there's an accident that will bring van helsing back to Transylvania, which I tried to avoid in the first place.

The only thing left to do is kill Ezekiel while I still have the chance. I tried to help him but he didn't need my help or spell.

"Sebastian get the sniper with the silver bullets."

I said looking at the night sky. The moon began hiding under a cloud. I heard Sebastian run off to my gun room then came back minutes later. "What are you going to do with him, Mom?"

Mom, if he only knew his mom is dead and I'm taking the form of her. "I have to my boy or van Helsing will come back and kill us." I caress his cheek.

He nods and backs away. Ezekiel makes his way over to my home and I am shooting him straight in the head.

I smiled in satisfaction but Sebastian turned away in disgust. He's not like Dracula. He has a heart because he's half human and he stopped aging in 1902.

He's 20 years of age but could pass for a teen. He resembles his father so much, especially in his smile.

"So what do we do now Mother?" I turn to him with a smile. "See if anyone noticed a werewolf before the end of the week and if they do we fly to America," I state to him as I make my way to my gun room.

"And if van Helsing finds us?"

"he won't because we'll be long gone if that happens," I assured him and put the sniper down. "Mom, how did the wolf man control himself for so long?"

I didn't answer instead I squeezed his cheeks and walked away. He was always an observant child and one day he'll figure out I'm not his mother and when that day comes.

I'll have to kill him and anyone he tries to get help from which will never happen because if it wasn't for me making that deal with the devil when van Helsing killed his father he would've been just as dead as his other half-siblings.

I stepped outside with a body bag to where Ezekiel's lifeless body was so I could dispose of it. I lift and put him in and zip him up. As I drag into my car a flashback of when we first met came to me. I placed him in the trunk and went to the driver's seat.

Ezekiel was a criminal, a thief to be exact. He stole from a woman not knowing she was a witch. She placed a curse on him that made him a werewolf. It's been so long since we had one of those in Transylvania and he was the first recent one in 2015.

Sebastian said he saw Ezekiel sleeping in a wolf den at the zoo in Romania. I said to the boy that I could help him with a deal from Satan but in actuality, I gave Ezekiel a potion that would last him until he got old and died under one condition.

He has to find blood from any source possible for Sebastian.

I'm guessing he forgot and changed earlier. Well, at least we know he's no longer here to cause any more problems. I just want a life without Van Helsing coming back.

If he ever finds out and Sebastian he'll die and I made a promise that I'll protect him at all cost.

Janet

When I woke up, the sterile scent of a hospital hit me. I slowly opened my eyes, realizing that I was in a small, white room. The memories of that horrific night flooded back, and my heart sank.

Quinn, Uncle Gary, the creature - it was all too much.

I tried to sit up, but the pain in my chest and head forced me back down. A nurse noticed my movement and rushed in. "You're awake. Take it easy," she advised, adjusting my bed.

"Where am I? What happened?"

I groaned, trying to make sense of the situation.

"You're in a hospital in Romania. You were found unconscious at a gas station. They brought you in, and it seems you had a panic attack. Do you remember anything?"

The events unfolded like a haunting film in my mind, and I nodded slowly. "The hitchhiker, the creature... Quinn. Where is he?"

The nurse hesitated, her eyes filled with sympathy. "I'm sorry. Your friend didn't make it. He succumbed to his injuries."

My heart shattered. Quinn, the one who had been by my side through thick and thin, was gone.

The pain in my chest intensified, both physically and emotionally.

"Can I see him?" I managed to utter, my voice barely audible.

"I'm afraid that won't be possible. He's already been taken to the morgue," the nurse explained gently.

A mix of grief and anger surged within me. "The hitchhiker - did they catch him?"

The nurse exchanged a glance with someone outside the room before responding cautiously.

"There was no one else at the scene, just you and the victims."

It didn't make sense. The hitchhiker couldn't have vanished without a trace. I felt a knot in my stomach, a sense of unease lingering.

I was sitting alone in my hospital room when a detective walked in.

He introduced himself as Detective Andrei Popescu and explained that he was investigating the incident. He wanted to ask me some questions about that fateful night.

"Can you describe the creature you encountered at the gas station?"

he inquired, a seriousness in his eyes.

"It was like a massive white wolf, but it wasn't a wolf. It was bigger, stronger. Almost like a beast from a nightmare," I recalled, shivering at the memory.

Detective Popescu furrowed his brow. "We've been receiving reports of similar incidents - mysterious attacks. Witnesses speak of a creature with supernatural strength. We're trying to get to the bottom of this. Did you notice anything unusual about the hitchhiker?"

I thought back to the man with the hoodie, the one who seemed to appear out of nowhere. "He seemed scared, shivering. I thought he was just a hitchhiker seeking a ride."

The detective thanked me for my cooperation and left, leaving me with more questions than answers.

Gabriel

"there was a werewolf attack in Romania Transylvania we need you to be there now and investigate the case. The beast is missing and could attack any minute." The carnal said to me as soon as I entered his office.

I nod and head to the weapon room. 5 pistols with a dozen silver bullets. I shower and throw on a black t-shirt, pants, and trench coat. It's similar to my old one but this is more modern.

"I'm leaving now!" I announced to everyone there and Carl's great-grandson Simon who was experimenting on something stopped and ran after me. "Can I tag along, carnal never lets me go on missions."

I sighed heavily. "Simon you have things to do like trying to make that liquid bomb your great great grandfather Carl made so long ago." He groans. "I'm tired of being a chemist I want to be like Mr van Helsing."

He's quite the opposite of Carl. He wants to be a fieldman. "Fine, I'll let you come under one condition." He smiles widely waiting for me to continue. "No questions or unnecessary talking.

I'm not in for the chit-chat with you." He hugs me tightly and I huff.

"thank you thank you thank you--"

"you're already on a rampage." I walk ahead, hearing him follow behind. We get on a speed boat and ride off. "I want you to look for the victim and get some information about what happened while I search for the beast."

I state he gives me a thumbs up.

2 hours later we arrived and saw a blonde woman entering her car her back was turned and she had a black aura of light surrounding her.

I know what that means, it's usually when a demon is close by.

I wanted to go over there but she drove off in a hurry. I'll find her back one day and find out why she has a demonic energy about her. "The hospital is over there and I'll go to the gas station where it all took place."

We go our separate ways. The gas wasn't far it took me 10 minutes to get there on foot.

I run pretty fast so it wasn't a problem. When I got two men were questioning who looked like the owner of the gas station.

"I remember that a beautiful lady and her boyfriend walked in then something came up that made him go back outside. She started walking around the store for a like 30 seconds then out of nowhere there was a horrific scream coming from outside.

When I looked I saw a tiger-sized dog ripping the other guy that came with them apart. Her boyfriend was running back to the store screaming but it got him and ripped him up while he took a knife out of his pocket and stabbed it once before dropping it."

"We couldn't help him well we tried to scare it away with noises while I grabbed my shotgun that was under the counter but it was too late. It killed him so I shot at it." One of the men interrogating him raised a brow. "Was it a licensed firearm?"

"Didn't you hear what I just said? A fucking weredog mauled two innocent men in front of me and you're worried about a firearm that might not be licensed!?"

"hey hey, no need for the language!"

"you're not listening to me!!!" The owner paused making eye contact with me causing the men to look as well. "This gas station is in the middle of an investigation so come back another time."

"I'm not here for gas or snacks I'm here for him." I point to the owner and his eyes widen. "And who are you, sir?"

"Must be jeeper creeper dressing like that." they laughed but I kept a straight face. "You two aren't doing your job so get out. Frauds." I said and one of them took it as an offense and strode towards me.

"Why don't you get the fuck outta here jeepers creepers before I do something I won't regret." He threatened. I Chuckle and knock him out.

His friend pulls out a gun as I swiftly go over to him and slaps it out of his hand knocking him out as well. "Please don't knock me unconscious too."

The owner begs putting his hand up in defeat. I roll my eyes and lift him by the forearm to his feet. "You saw a werewolf kid."

"huh? But I thought they weren't real just mythical."

"Well guess what? Surprise they're real and you need to go home before it gets you too." I turn and look at the man's body before sighing. I slap them awake telling them to bring this young man home safe.

They drove off and I started looking at the crime scene.

A pool of blood was at the entrance and the gas bumped. Whoever attacked them knew they were coming this way and were targeting the two men. I looked around and found a trail of green bloody footprints of a dog paw.

It wasn't even a full moon which means anger got the best of it.

I followed it until it turned into a human footprint stopping at a two-story house. Either he's in there or the owner killed him because there's red blood 6 feet away from the porch.

In the driveway, I see the same car at the boat house. I knocked and no one answered.

I gave up and went to the hospital telling the receptionist that I was a relative of Mr Slovak and got in. A group of people were comforting a woman with brunette hair who was crying and screaming. "Janet calm down!" I stopped looking at her realizing that she was Marcel's great-granddaughter.

"I could've saved him but instead I just stood there and watched it rip him apart!!!!" I walked away until I found the morgue and snuck in. Simon was there hovering over the body with a flashlight.

"What's up?"

"His veins are visible but they're neon green. I don't know what could've caused that but it's everywhere on his body."

He dipped a swab in one of the wounds and dropped it into a Ziploc bag.

Suddenly we hear talking and footsteps coming our way. I grab Simon and duck behind the curtains. "I don't want to look at him again please."

"Janet Angelina Slovak stop being so dramatic and look at him one last time!!" There was an awkward silence until Janet started crying again.

"He's gone." she sounded calmer now and for another 5 minutes they talked about the dead man's life. Trying to keep his memory alive. "We're leaving tomorrow at 5 so let's get out of here."

I hear them leave and escape through the window. We got back to the church and immediately gave the Ziploc with the swab to a professional scientist Maria. "When will we get the results?"

"Give it 2 days I'm going home." she grabbed her stuff and I followed her out because we usually take the same transportation. She lives like 4 houses after me. Marcel told me about his great-granddaughter Janet saying she reminds him of Anna. He never met the princess but I'd see him as her caretaker we'd talk about her and how sorry I was for losing her.

Suddenly my phone rings. It's Aniska. "Hey Gabriel I know you heard about Grandpa Marcel huh?" She asked sadly. "No what happened?" How did I not know this but only knew about the werewolf?! It seems as if I didn't care for him and he died thinking that.

"I'm sorry Gabe but he died this evening at 5:34 pm." I covered my mouth as tears poured down. "Oh god no." The last time I sobbed like this was when Anna died. "He wanted to see you 3 days ago but I told him you were busy. He left something for you to have, when you come for the funeral I'll give it to you."

"Okay." I sniffle and she hangs up. Suddenly I feel a familiar presence. It can't be. It's been so long since I've last seen her. "He's with us now."

It was Anna's voice I refused to look at her even though I wanted to. "Tell Marcel I'm sorry for not being there." She caresses my face forcing me to look at her. "Anna please."

"Gabriel you can't keep ignoring me just because of what happened. I forgave you and so has god." I roll my eyes. "then why do I feel so miserable?"

"because you need to let go."

"I'm trying."

"well try harder." She fades away leaving me to cry like I was before.

Sebastian

I was told that van Helsing was in town and would return which means we have to pack. Our flight leaves in 4 hours and we just got done. "You got everything right!" She asks breathlessly.

"Yes, everything now let's go."

I hugged her but she didn't hug back. I frowned and she noticed. "Sweetheart mommy is having a bad night when we get on the plane we can cuddle." Every time this happens a smile or a promise always soothes me like I'm some child.

Maybe when we get there I will get a little bit more freedom and be treated well. The drive was long so I scrolled through Instagram watching all the cringing funny videos until we came to a stop.

In no time we were on the plane. A young girl who looks about 17 comes up to my mom and me recording us.

My mom didn't react the first time but the second time she made the girl scream. I don't know how she did it but at least the girl can leave us alone now.

"That lady over there....she's not human." the girl points timidly at us and I chuckle at least that taught her something. "Miss please have a seat we're about to lift off and you're holding up the passenger's time." the flight attendant shut her up. "Teenagers. I'm glad you're not like them."

I wish I was.
