1 Chapter:1 Prologue

"Only if, only if i awakened a bit earlier..."

Last words of the human.... no, vampire who sacrificed everything in order to save humanity.

A sky hidden by the sky-soaring towers.

Various ruined structures. Faint sound of screams and despair . Smoke and smog everywhere.

And continued silence.

Needless to say, this was the world after the 4th cataclysm.

You all might know of this. I will not go into details, but you will understand once you read history. If there exists any record of it.

Year 2023.

Enormous earthquakes of unknown origins hit us at the most unpredicatable time.

The beginning was calm but the intensity of earthquakes slowly but surely increased as time went by.

... I just realized that there are all sorts of similar fantasy novels that consists of similar starting, and that makes me wonder 'do i really need to briefly explain it all?'

But i'll make it simpler, so i'll give you a general idea of how mankind reached its end and how cataclysms were just the beginning.

As i previously mentioned the earthquakes' intensity increased which led to many Faults' formation but to they were not just mere faults caused by earthquakes.

They were what came to be known as <<Abyss Doors>>.

There were not many reasons as to why they came to be known as abyss doors but one thing was for sure they led to places unknown to mankind.

Then the abyss called upon humankind.

<<Abyss Explorers>>

The one who were later referred to as Explorers.

These people were summoned by the abyss's call and they had earned the right to become powerful by killing and exploring the abyss. The call of abyss came in form of a message 'Dive into the abyss and save mankind from the abyss. Deities wish for the mankind to survive but direct interference by them is not possible.' There were only 2700 people who responded to it.

About 0.000003857 percent of total humans, it was rather unfortunate. That there were only this much people willing to do what it took to save mankind.

But the information that later came to be known made all of the people who rejected the offer, come to regret their choice.

Those people who accepted to Explore the abyss received the power called the <<Abyss System>> that allowed them to view their status in terms of number and alphabets.

And most of you know how greedy humans can be.

That is how began the end of mankind.

<20 Years into the Future>

The first and last vampire humans knew took his final breaths before, the same humans he tried to save, betrayed him.

'My way of saving people was wrong, but i was the only one who had the power to save them. And they still betrayed me'

'I just wish to rest in peace now. I swear that if i get to live again, i will live my life as i want' were ******'s last thoughts before he died and his body crumbled into nothing....
