The Call

Christopher's eyes fluttered open and the first thing he saw was an unfamiliar ceiling. He quickly got to his feet, accessing the environment around him just like Lady Shiva and Geralt had taught him. There were no threats as long as he could tell. Furthermore, if the memories served him correct, this was his house. The former Christopher was a devout vampire hunter after he found one of them drinking his girlfriend's blood four years ago. He had read every myth, text and ancient books about them for two years before he hit the road to find the vampire that killed Stephanie. He finally managed to kill it two days ago and with the two year burn out finally kicking in, he returned to his house and committed suicide. That's where Christopher managed to get his body.

"First things first," he told himself as he walked to the kitchen. He picked up a knife and proceeded to drive it into his palm. Lady Shiva's training proved successful for he did not even wince in pain let alone flinch, it was like the palm wasn't even his. He proceeded to remove the knife, blood spluttering on the sink for half a second and the wound just closed up!

"Lobo's and Deadpool's regeneration is just OP!" he told himself. Then, he proceeded to the garage where his pick up truck was parked. He proceeded to lift it up with one hand, slightly winded but still better.

"Goddamn, Abbott's and Lady Shiva's body training techniques added to the serum already made me this strong!" he exclaimed, carefully putting the truck down For a hundred and fifty years, he had trained with three masters, Geralt of Rivia, Lady Shiva and Abbott Feng Yang.

They each taught him a different field but some teachings were quite similar to the other like Geralt's sword training and Lady Shiva's but she she was best in assassinations and unarmed fighting. She also knew how to be cultivate inner strength but Abbott Feng Yang was all about tranquility and balance in the body. Technically, they made a cold, calm, calculating and psychotic killing machine and now with two character's healing, unkillable!

Done with his little experiment, he checked the date and found he was in the year 2006, two years prior of the beginning of the Vampire Dairies series. That didn't mean the characters were active and they were the only ones in the planet. There were more vampires out there and they needed pruning. As he was thinking, his flip phone started ringing, bringing him out of his mentality. He took it from under the pillar and when he looked at the collar, he saw it was a guy named Andy. Memories of Andy came to him and he answered the phone with a smile on his face.

"Andy boy, good news I hope?" he asked.

"Good news indeed. Me and the boys wanted to ask if you are up for a hunt," a slightly high pitched voice said from the other side.

"Why would you think I'm not up for it?" Chris asked, making sure he sounded cross.

"Well, with the way it ended when you killed that fang two days ago, you looked like someone who wanted to hang the gun and just give up,"

"Ahh, so this is more of a check up than a call to ask a buddy out for a hunt, huh? Well, you'll be glad to k ow that I am actually doing fine, relatively speaking. I will join you for the hunt but I better not see any of you with those pity stares, alright?"

"Deal! Good to hear one of the best hunter is coming with us. Meet us in a little town called Sundyvalle. That's where the fang will be," Andy cheerfully said then hang up. Chris put down the flip phone, his mind thinking of ways they could be suspicious of him and the counter plan to that.

When he was done, he started packing. First, he filled spray cans with verveined water. He then found some wooden stakes under the bed that he stashed into a bag. Guns do nothing but slow down vampires; that's for normal people. But to Chris, a well placed shot gun to the head can make the vampire's head explode. Let it try coming back from that so, he packed a shot gun and twenty four more shells. He was sure he would make a headshot but he didn't know how old this vampire of vampires might be. Then, he packed four vervain smoke grenade because, why not? If they meet a group of them, this is the fastest we to immobilize them before decapitation or just staking them. Then, he checked google maps to confirm where Sundyvalle. When he found the town, he set a marker there and headed to the garage with the bag.

"Time for my first hunt," he told himself as he turned on the truck's engine.
