18 Vampire Diaries 16: You Will Be Loved

Along the way to the comfort room, Gray is too quiet and gentleman.

He is always telling me to where should I go.

He said, "How are you?"

"I am good. How... How about you?"

I ask him as if I met him for the very first time. Of course, Thalia knows him very well but I am different. I had a different life back then.

"To be honest, I am not. Jack wanted me to go to the land of the dead to conquer their land. But, I tell him not to rush things up."

"You are a grim reaper, right?"

Gray nods and tell nothing.

"Left,"

He said.

Good thing that I am about to take the opposite way.

A deafening silence fills between the two of us. I think, he doesn't want to talk about regarding his duties as a grim reaper.

"We're here, Thalia."

I breathe heavily upon knowing that finally, we reach the comfort room.

I feel like we're walking for a thousand years before we reach our destination.

"Thank you! And, you can leave me here Gray! I know the way back to the living room!"

Before entering inside, I tell him not to wait for me. "Alright! See you there!"

Without insisting to wait for me, Gray wave his hands and turn his back.

He begins to walk away from the place as I close the door quietly.

As soon as I open the empty cubicle, I am shocked by what I've seen.

"Wow! It looks like an elegant room for a quick glimpse!"

While doing my stuff, I look around the entire comfort room. There is a big mirror attached on the wall and a faucet.

On the right side, the wall was painted with the darkest colour which is black.

However, it did not affect the astonishing quality.

"I've never been in this kind of place! It perhaps looks like an isolated room yet, it gives a soothing effect to someone!"

I murmur as I comb my hair with my fingers.

"Thalia, forgive me as there is someone who's manipulating your body. She's a Princess who gloriously died in a battle and transmigrated. However, I must accept the truth and my fate."

I gasps and breaths heavily as I speak up with myself.

Thalia and I have different countenance and characteristics. She's a woman with a long, curly hair with a pair of emerald eyes. A pointed nose and a thin, crimson lips.

While I am a Princess who had a pair of bluish eyes and pale lips.

However, the trait that we possessed together is– being dauntless and fearless. 

We both fight to those people who have a plan in hurting us.

Before going back, I wash my face to freshen my soul. I need to be calm while gathering information about Thalia.

I reach for the thin towel from the side and wipes my face gently.

"You looks beautiful now, Thalia!"

I wink on the mirror and pull the door immediately.

I am about to walk when someone speaks from behind, "Thalia!"

Even though I did not see his face, I know that it's Gray. But, how come that he's still at the wall, leaning and looking at me seriously.

"I tell you to go ahead and don't wait for me."

"I did. But, Emilia tell me that you are such a crying baby especially if the light turns off abruptly."

Gray is smiling playfully until I realize that he's standing at the wall where the switch can be found.

Although he switches it off, nothing will happen. The sun still shines and evident despite of the thick, sealed windows.

"Don't be too innocent! Emilia is making an alibi to get even with me!"

"Why would she do that?" Gray ask me shortly.

He looks so cool even though he is leaning to the wall.

Gray is more attractive and enthralling than Jack. But, he's too serious than the Vampire King.

Because of his awkward question, I look away to hide the nervousness I feel.

But, he walks closer while putting his hands inside of his pocket.

He looks like a Prince who walks elegantly. Every woman would be ensnared by simply glancing at his reddish, soft lips.

How did I know?

Simply because Gray is standing before me. He's too close as I smell his heavy, fresh breath.

He said, "Come with me, I'll you something."

"But, Emilia will look after me!"

I am hesitant to say yes as I don't have an idea of what to do. I know that I need to be careful, especially that everyone knows about Thalia's life.

Gray smile at me and said, "Don't worry, I asked her permission earlier and she said yes. So, shall we?"

"She tells you that?!"

I couldn't believe that he allows Gray to manipulate me. I am about to decline his offer but I suddenly remember that a grim reaper is a serious man who doesn't accept refusal.

Despite the doubt, I nods my head and replied. "Yes! Since I don't have any choice but to come along with you."

Gray chuckles upon hearing me. He said, "Oh! Where are you going? This way, please!"

I almost bite my fingers upon realizing that I take the wrong way.

He's still chuckling while leading the way to somewhere.

The grim reaper's compartment is quiet huge and elegant. The wall was filled with portraits but, I did not try to ask him.

"I know you feel uncomfortable being with me, but don't worry. I signed a contract that Emilia made just earlier."

"A contract?!"

He laughs silently and nods.

Emilia, wait for me! I will bite your neck and drink your blood until you die!

I clench my teeth and I imagine how would I get even with her.

However, drinking her blood is a common way of killing. Why not I'll try to hang Emilia and use her as bait against the werewolves, tonight.

"Ha ha ha ha!"

I laugh horribly while thinking about so many things.

Until someone clear his throat and said, "Are you okay? You seem like happy and joyous!"

"Gray!"

I utter his name as soon as we reach the end of the hallway. There is nothing but a tall, thick wall protecting us from the sunlight.

He walks towards the barricade silently.

I just lay my eyes on him until Gray looks into my way.

He said, "Watch out! I'll be going to open this wall."

I hold my breath as I stand from distance. Looking and waiting for his next move.

"OPEN IT!"

Without looking away, the tough wall begins to split. It seems like a two-way door that will automatically open when someone ordered to do so.

"Wow!"

I am amazed and stunned. Gray looks at me as if he's telling me to come closer and see the entire sight from up above.

It's a raised embankment with the top levelled.

Without wasting any second, I run towards the opened wall and I'm surprised at what I have seen.

"Wow! How did you make this wonderful terrace?"

I couldn't believe that in front of it, there is a small lake surrounded by trees.

The water is calm as it used to be. The trees are all green and tall.

Gray glances at me, "What can you say about the sight? I know that you love the scenery of nature, that is why I conserved this place for you."

As he speaks, he looks away which makes me gulp and swallow my pride.

I don't either understand why does everyone seem to like to admire Thalia without getting the same love.

The smile on my lips begins to vanish.

I stoop towards him and reach for his face as I... "You will be loved by someone out there. Wait patiently for her and never stop wishing." I said.
