1 Chapter 01 - Lora

I just came out of the teacher's office. Apparently, someone had ripped my report before giving it to the teacher and the deadline was due to today. I explained everything to the teacher, showed my pdf because she won't believe me unless I had proof, and gave her another copy of my report. I was exhausted by this kind of situations, so I saved extra copies. No matter how hard they tried, they can't knock me down.

"Oh god! Look at this poor girl... How can she survive like this? And yet you think you can beat me?"

I was sitting quietly and enjoying a novel when that creepy voice girl interrupted me and blabbered about herself. Old witch's laugh, rude voice, who else she can be other than my mental disaster? She is annoying.

"Mind your own business Raluca. I know that was your shitty work."

I inhaled a long deep breath instead of punching her face as my nerves ached and said that to her without moving my single limb to give her attention. She always wanted the attention.

"Oh wow..."

She acted like she was surprised. And her fellows.

"Should I be scared?"

She looked at her fellow chicks. Raluca is the most annoying person in the world.

"Look girls, how this little lamb's mouth had come alive after returning."

I didn't move. I acted like I didn't care about her but I kept all the words she said in my mind deeply.

"Did your father teach you to fight back? or... else did your mother?"

Then, one of her fellows, Bianca started to blabber. Raluka hid her taunting smile under a worrisome face.

"Oww... I'm so sorry... That's so rude of you Bianca. Don't you know her mother is dead?"

Raluca gave me wide eyes with a sad smile but they were all fake. She didn't care about others' feelings. Maybe they couldn't peacefully sleep at night if they didn't mock someone. No one in this school liked Raluca, other than her fellows and some girls, who behaved like her. Raluca is the head of that society of theirs, which was, 'mocking and ragging weak students'.

"Oh my god! I'm so... sorry dear. I didn't know about it."

She knew it yet she acted like she didn't know. I stood up. I was angry but acting like them didn't suit me. I just follow my own methods.

"Owww... aaaaa"

"Oh my gosh!"

Raluca was crossing her arms and acting rowdy. She chewed a gum. Her scornful face said everything about her attitude. I just stretched my arms for relaxation since I sat there for around thirty minutes. although unfortunately, my elbow hit Bianca's face. It wasn't my fault. She was too near me.

"What the heck do you think you are doing Lora? How you dare to punch her?"

Raluca was out of her mind for seconds thinking about what happened. She never knew I would do that because no one ever did that to her or her fellows.

"I'm so... sorry! I didn't know you were here. I... I just stretch my arms. You know, it's hard to sit, read, and write continuously. Did you get hurt?"

I didn't overdo it. But others had confusion on their faces. I didn't do anything Illegal! But I was confused if her face was real or plastic. Her face gave my elbow a damn pain.

"Did you get hurt?"

Raluca's second fellow, Tana uttered and echoed my words.

"Even her nose is bleeding! How can you ask that?"

Her anger vented on me. I didn't start it. They did. Everyone was afraid of them, their dumb-ass gang. I never did. I just shut my mouth around them because I didn't want fights and I prefer silence. If I got involved, my father would have cut the remaining freedom I had as happened in the past.

"I'm so sorry."

I made a worrisome and repentant face.

"Don't spread your crocodile tears, Lora. You did that knowingly."

Yes! Of course, I did it knowingly but I didn't say anything. I wasted my time acting innocent in front of a pro who knew all that. I wasn't like that before, but we have to change ourselves according to the situation. I would have sincerely apologized and taken care of everything that I did. But they never deserved it. I did it on behalf of everyone. They had to learn their lesson. At least they will think twice before harassing someone from now on, which was never going to happen. But I thought so.

"Well, I guess you know. Then why are you still here arguing with me instead of taking your nose-bleeding sick chick to the infirmary?"

I swang my mood and said in a taunting voice. Raluca's face had turned red. I feared if she got high blood pressure, we would have to admit her first. She really was pissed. So was Tana. They never got irritated by others and they are the ones who irritated others. There is a first time for everything. Bianca was sobbing. Her hands were on her nose and she was holding her nose tightly as if it could fall anytime.

"You! You have to pay for this Lora. You messed up with the wrong person."

Raluca introduced her as that was the first time we met, pointing a finger at me.

"I will take care of you later. Come on girls."

She threatened me and led her fellows to the infirmary.

"I can take care of me!"

I said before she left the classroom and she turned back and tried to come to me but Tana held and pulled her. She had taken her step back since everyone was watching us. The silly, laughable situation was Raluca led her fellows and walked out as she always did. She didn't hold even a hand of Bianca! So never Tana! They cat-walked. I felt sorry for Bianca for a second but they never felt sorry for anyone, who they had harassed every day. Some students left the school because of them, some got serious illnesses, Mentally and Physically. They can't be forgiven.

They never tried them on me what they did to others 'cause I never sat behind silently. I stood for myself. I never fought with them also I never endured it. I was about to sit down again but I felt everyone's eyes on me. They were stunned by my unusual act. I had enough. I left the classroom.

I pulled out my airdrops from my pockets and played 'Rolling in the Deep by Adele'. Actually, the airdrops weren't mine. Samura gifted them for my last birthday because I never could buy them. It was hilarious to say a student of 'Highness Royal Collage' couldn't afford airdrops. It wasn't about affording, It was all about I banned from them.

The first time I listened to a song in my entire life was when I went to Samura's home. Two years ago, when I was 13. I checked again If my airdrops hid behind my hair. I didn't want anyone to find out about it. My father had a special 'honor' in my school. He could do anything and what he first did was make sure I heard no songs in the school. Then he never allowed me to dance, learn, or play any instrument. No martial arts learning. Nothing. I did nothing in that school under him.

After passing the corridor I went down the staircase. My classroom was on the 3rd floor. I exited from the back door that led to the inner garden. Our school garden was so beautiful and huge. It had four entrances and they all were leading to the buildings. The building, which had my classroom had all the classrooms for every student in the school was named 'The Sun'. The left-side building bore labs, 'The moon'. The front building was the dorm and the right-side building was the training center, 'The Knight'.

The training center was for all students who wanted to learn Martial arts, Fencing, Sports, and games. I was banned from 'The Knight'. I looked at the door of that building. There was a badge on it as a knight. 'The Sun' had a sun and 'The Moon' had a crescent moon on it. In the middle of the garden, there was an old oak tree. Around it, they had placed a few benches. There were benches everywhere in the garden but I always preferred to sit under the oak tree.

I silently sat on a bench and closed my eyes. I opened my eyes when someone's hand touched my shoulder. That hand belonged to Samura. She sat beside me with a smile on her face. She definitely knew what happened earlier.

"Someone seems she couldn't endure as she said."

She grinned. I grinned her back.

"Everyone had their limit enduring everything Mura."

I sighed. Which I said was true and that limit had come to an end. My mom passed away when I was 1 year old and since then, my maid raised me. I didn't know if my father cared about me when I was little. But ever since I can remember, I can't remember that he was a loving and caring father to me. Even, I see him once a month. He said he was busy with work and business every time when I asked. After a few times, I stopped asking.

He banned music, dance, and martial arts. Even a maid can't listen to a song in our household. I had everything except happiness. One day in the night I escaped from the dorm when I was 12 and that was the day I met Samura. I continued escaping at night to hang out with Samura and after one year they found it.

My father took me home. During that whole period and until now he watched me with more security. I didn't make it to escape and didn't get a chance to meet Samura. So she transferred to my school and as her parents were close with my father somehow, she could be friends with me again.

'I was blessed to meet a friend like her.' Said my inner thoughts.
