Chp 2:Unexpected Visitor

Evan POV:

I storm to the door and to my surprise a small petite boy is standing in front of me. He tucked light blonde locks of hair behind his ear and lifted up his face to meet my eyes.

Big bright Blue diamond eyes twinkle with awe at me. His appearance was quite eye catching, maybe even more so than I. His naive look disappears off his face and a shocking smile lifts his face.

I stood in disbelief at the sight of the boy. Thoughts dashed in my head, 'who was this kid, why does he look so cute and why do I already wanna devour him.'

"Hello, It's nice to meet you, I'm Lucas. I just moved In next door, so I'm your new neighbor. Please take care of me!"

The small boy squeaked with enthusiasm as he bowed. I still don't quite know what to think of the boy, but I answer with just as much enthusiasm and with a polite introduction.

"Ahh yes, I heard I was recieving a new Neighbour. It's a pleasure to meet you as well Lucas, I'm Evan and I look forward to our future neighbour friendship."

I lied about the whole 'knowing I was getting a new neighbor', but it's just to be friendly and what not. 'how was I supposed to know I was getting some new lolly pop boy neighbor.'

He smiled even brighter at my response and continued,

"Yes, of course. oh and I'm so sorry to already be asking a favour of someone I just met but...."

He paused as If what he was about to say was gonna be ground shattering, so I mentally braced myself however I could.

"...b-but.... can I sleep over at your place tonight? My moving company truck hasn't arrived yet and they won't do so until tomorrow, but I don't really have anything to sleep on as for tonight. So if it wouldn't be too much of a bother...."

He trailed off with a disheartened face. 'I wasn't expecting that, but to be fair I didn't quite know what to expect from that dramatic pause. But this wasn't that big of a deal, he just needs a place to sleep for the night, why was he so nervous for? I swear I will never quite understand humans and there weird emotions. And besides I'm quite drawn to this human, getting to know him better by letting him sleep under my roof is full of plenty of opportunities.'

"Of course, of course you can crash at my place for tonight. what kind of stubborn old neighbor were you expecting me to be ?"

I chuckled with one of my charming smiles whilst gesturing my hands with a shrug.

His smile immediately illuminated once more.

"oh, thank you, thank you. I will take you out to dinner as my treat sometime as payment. You have really saved my ass from sleeping on the hard wooden flooring."

We laughed together at his choice of words and said our polite goodbyes.

'What a strange child, why do I already want him? He isn't anything special, just your typical dopey guy with a somewhat peculiar cute face.'

'Wait, what, he wants to stay over? I haven't got any human food in the fridge, oh well I'll just compel him to forget about the blood in the fridge. I ain't hiding my blood, just cause hes coming over. If anything, hes dinner delivered to my home.'

'hes walking right into my den and he has no idea what's to come.'
