Bully's From The Past

Aurik's mind was numb and distant ever since Thea pulled him away from the customer and dragged him outside. His consciousness was fading in and out constantly and he felt like he had been smacked over the head with a stick.

There was a brief moment where he was able to realize what was going on around him and used that chance to tell Thea that he needed to go to the hospital, but since then his mind was fuzzy and his thoughts were chaotic.

He wasn't aware of the conversation Thea was having with the three people who had showed up and their words felt like static to his ears. The only thing that Aurik was aware of at all times was the sound of his own heartbeat as it thumped away in his chest, getting faster and faster with each passing minute.

Slap!

The sudden smack sent tingling pain across Aurik's cheek and caused his mind to focus on the world again just in time to hear what the man in front him was saying.

"Come on, Aurik, don't just sit there spaced out like that. Let's have some fun, just like we used to!"

Although the slap brought him back to reality it didn't do much to help with his confusion. Why was he being slapped, when did these people show up, why was he on his knees and why was this person crouching in front of him.

"Tristan...? When did... what's going-" Aurik spoke with a hoarse and dry voice as he tried to understand the situation but he was cut off before he could finish his words.

Slap!

"Since when where you allowed to call me by my name? Mm?" Tristan asked with a raised eyebrow without even trying to hide the disdain in his voice.

Tristan was a man with curly brown hair and slightly darker eyes of the same colour. Although he had a handsome face he was by no means extraordinary in this regard, likely due to his average physical build that didn't help him stand out in the slightest.

"Maybe he forgot who you are." The man behind Tristan, Gray, said with a snort as he fought to hold back a chuckle.

Gray was a burly young man who almost reached 2 meters in height (6ft6) and had extremely short hair that looked like it was black due to how short it was. He had an ugly face that, added to his large stature, gave him a very thug like aura.

"How could anyone forget my Tristan so easily unless they were retarded?" The woman, Anise, quickly added as she looked at Tristan with love in her eyes.

Anise was a woman with a slightly above average appearance so far as her face was concerned. She had long ginger hair that was styled into a single plait and her eyes were a faded blue colour. Her face had some freckles lightly scattered about but whatever makeup she had on showed that she had tried to hide them.

Although her face wasn't anything spectacular, her real charm came from her body. Nobody could deny that when it came size and shape, Anise's body was so close to perfect it might as well just be considered as such.

Aurik looked at the three people in front of him with a dazed expression as bad memories started to resurface in his mind. These three had been the biggest bully's during his time at school and their only motivation was that they had more money than everyone else.

Seeing that he wasn't getting a reply, Tristan raised his hand in preparation of another slap but Aurik suddenly spoke.

"I don't know what's going on but could we do this another time? I'm not exactly in the condition for this nonsense." Aurik's voice was still hoarse but this time he had more confidence behind his words as he spoke with an annoyed tone that suggested this was all just a waste of time.

Tristan's face contorted with anger. The hand he was about to slap with quickly moved forward but instead of a slap it grabbed onto Aurik's shirt and yanked his body forward. At the same time, Tristan reached into his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife which he quickly flipped open and brought the blade up to Aurik's neck.

"Don't you dare speak to me like that you rat! I'm not someone you should even be looking at, let alone speaking to! Surely by now you should understand the difference between us, the level of importance I have?" Tristan's face was the embodiment of fury and his eyes were filled with disgust.

Seeing that Aurik didn't have any sort of reaction to his words, Tristan pressed the blade of his knife into Aurik's neck with just enough force to pierce the skin and send a trickle of blood running down to his chest.

"I could kill you right now and nothing would happen. Nobody would investigate your death and the world would not change in the slightest. Even if the chief of police was standing right next to me, I could still kill you and there would be no consequences, that's the power that my name and money can give me!"

The fury on Tristan's face was still present but seeing that Aurik was looking ahead like a high drug addict even though he had a knife pressed into his neck, he felt like he was just wasting his time.

He shoved Aurik away and scoffed while wiping his hand on his jacket like he had been holding onto something dirty. With his right hand busy, he tried to close his pocket knife using only his left hand, which was awkward to say the least.

Because of this, and because he was still looking at Aurik with anger and disgust, the knife cut into his finger as he closed it. He yelped and pulled his hand away on instinct, sending the knife falling to the ground as he looked at the deep cut in his finger.

Aurik had been looking ahead with an empty expression for most of this encounter but the moment Tristan's finger received that cut and his blood poured out from his body, Aurik's eyes gained focus as they locked onto Tristan's hand.

Although he didn't understand exactly why he was experiencing such an immense thirst for the past two days or why he felt anticipation building in his body right now, there was one thing he was sure of.

The thing his body had been desperately thirsting for, was blood.
