Scar the Undead pt 5

Scar was stopped by someone suspicious of her identity. Now, being put on the spot, she has no choice but to show everyone in the pub who she really is.

"Guys can we all calm down," Jade said making her way to the scene. "I doubt this is him. I mean Scar the undead don't have a wolf as a companion." Jade said trying to convince them.

"Maybe, but then this person has nothing to fear." The guy said looking back at Scar. Just as Scar was going to remove her hoodie there was a loud noise coming from outside of people yelling. Most of the people looked at where the noise was coming from, so Scar used that as an opportunity to escape. She kicked the knife the man was holding out of his hands which landed cleanly on the wall. the man looked back at her but she wasn't there, she jumped up and was now barely touching the top of his head. She used his head as a springboard and jumped to the door which was open. Under all the commotion it was just easy for Rebel to walk out without being noticed. Rebel and scar began to run with a few people on their tail. They ran deeper into the woods using the trees as a cover. Soon they lost the mob of people and began persuing the hideout of bandits.

"Hey, do you even know where we're going?" Rebel asked following behind. Scar glared at Rebel immediately. "Kidding. I took a map of the forest when nobody was looking." Rebel said showing her the map. "But seriously we should probably finish this job before Jade finds out I stole it." Rebel said awkwardly, Scar rolled her eyes then took the map and stared at it for a while. After burning her eyes into the page she started walking to a direction in the forest. After a few minutes of endless walking Rebel got a little suspicious after seeing the same flower bush. "Are you sure you know where you're going?" He asked.

"Yeah, of course, I do. You're just distracting me." Scar said irritated and set off to a different course. Soon night fell and it was getting harder to see.

"I think we're lost." Rebel said looking around.

"No, we aren't. I know exactly where we are."

"Come on, stop being stubborn and lets this pick up tomorrow. You're probably tired from reading a map that you clearly don't understand all day." Rebel said teasingly. "And I'm sure Jade would forgive me this once for taking something without permission." He muttered to himself.

"Hey! I can understand i-!" Scar exclaimed but got cut off by a distinct scream coming from another direction. "What was that?" Scar said looking over at the direction.

"Sounds like screaming." Rebel said bluntly earning the 'no shi* sherlock' look. And as if thinking the same thing they both ran to the direction of the scream. They stopped when they heard men laughing and saw the brightness of fire.

"You dare try to escape!" A man with a very big figure and a loud, low voice shouted. He stepping on someone's head which was on the ground. "Now beg for my forgiveness." He said with a triumphant smile looking down at the person. There were people there and animals. Some were enjoying it but others were held captive. The animals were locked up in a cage. Scar and Rebel were a few trees away and hidden from them.

"What do you think happened?" Scar asked Rebel silently as to not attract attention.

"Oh? Is the stone-hearted Scar actually caring about people other than herself?" Rebel teased.

"No, I'm just suspicious. I mean, don't you think they're the bandits that are stealing from the forest."

"Could be."

"Well if that's so, then we can just take them on now and not waste any more time." Scar said trying to get out of her hiding spot and charge right in but Rebel immediately stopped her by pulling on her cloak.

"Are you crazy? How many people do you think there? There could be more, and don't you see the hostages." Rebel said giving her a stern look.

"Right now, I couldn't care less about hostages. All you guys talked about was the animals. If they want to use people against me then that's their business but I will still fulfil the mission you forced me into." Scar said running straight for the hideout.

"Scar!" Rebel shouted loud enough for the bandits to hear. Just as the leader turned around to the voice he immediately stopped having a sword pierce him in his chest, stopping him in his tracks. Scar backed off after seeing someone else before her take down the group of bandits.

"What's going on?" Scar muttered looking around and seeing everyone fall to their feet with giant cuts come across their chests one by one. After all, the bandits lay motionless what was left was a guy who put a sword back in its sheath. "That's my sword..." Scar said with still a little dazed-looking up at the man who dealt with the bandits before her. The same brown hair and red eyes as the bandit who robbed her of her belongings before. The bandit went to untie the hostages and let the animals go free. He noticed Scar and then immediately started walking in the opposite direction. Before Scar could think her legs started moving on their own. "Hey! Wait!" She shouted running after him. Rebel also came out of his hiding space and started running after Scar.

"Scar are you alright? Who is that?" He asked running to catch up. However Scar just ignored and in a split second, she was in front of the guy stopping him in his tracks.

"Give me back my weapons." Scar said without hesitation. The bandit looked at her in surprise.

"Your weapons? Is that why you've been following me?" He asked.

"Well, they do belong to me. So if you would kindly give them back I'll be on my way and we won't have to see each other ever again, got it?" Scar said with an expectant hand waiting for her sword.

"Look, in this world, it's finders keepers."

"But you didn't find them, you stole them." Scar snapped back.

"Fine, how about we play a game for them." He said with a mischievous grin.

"A game?"

"Don't fall for it Scar, he's gonna swindle you." Rebel said with a suspicious look in his eyes.

"The mutt's here too." The guy said with a light chuckle earning a growl from Rebel, however, he just ignored it. "You're... Scar the undead right?" He asked with a smirk catching Scar off guard.

"Y-yeah, so? Do you want something?" Scar asked with a threatening gaze.

"No, I just had to make sure. So about our game..." He said with a thoughtful look. Scar stood by, her guard up and ready to take him on. "It's..."
