"Come in." Dr Braithewaite announced as a knock was

was being heard on her office door. Valerie led the man

inside still trying hard to remember where she had seen

him. As he sat down reality struck her hard. " Thomas

Thames." The most popular and richest musician that

she had been crushing on. Mr Thames was a very rich and

popular celebrity. Valerie almost screamed in esctasy but

controlled herself blushing foolishly in the process.

" Good day sir." Dr Braithewaite started.

" Good day doctor, how is my daughter." Thomas asked

impatiently. " Please sir what is your name ?" Dr

Braithewaite asked ignoring hid initial question while

opening a file. " Thomas Thames ." He replied bluntly

Dr Braithewaite's jaws dropped but she controlled

herself. " Sir, your baby's case isn't that severe, the

truth is that she will be awake in one hours time."

Dr Braithewaite allowing what she said to digest

before continuing. " There's a problem." Dr Braithewaite

said watching as his countenance dropped. " What

problem?" He questioned not minding Valerie that was

drooling over him. " We need the mother of the child."

Dr Braithewaite announced. Thomas eyes glistened with

unshed tears as he remembered....

* Congratulations bro!!" His friend Danny Criuz congratulated

him as news spread that his wife Rita Thames had

given birth to a baby girl. Thomas's joy knew no bound

as he was overwhelmed with happiness. He sent his

personal body guard Alex to go bring his wife from the

hospital while he organized a party for her.

Minutes later...

His phone rang and a very elated Thomas picked the call.

" Yes, what's the matter Alex?" Thomas asked.

" Sir we just had an accident." Alex revealed. Immediately

Thomas drove to the scene. His wife had died while trying to

protect their daughter. The media was asking questions

but he was lost in a world of his own. The pain was unbearable

he can't let anything happen to his daughter as she was

the only reminder of his wife.

" Sorry , about your loss sir, but we have to do our

job, someone must take care of the child as she is very

delicate and fragile. On a normal basis I would have suggested

milk and suppliments but as I said earlier the baby needs

breast milk. " Dr Braithewaite said looking intently at him.

Thomas breathed in before asking. " What do I do doctor?"

" We need to look for a nursing mother or a nurse that will

breastfeed the child on a daily basis." Dr Braithewaite

explained ." And we have to do that as soon as possible

because the baby would soon be awake ." Dr Braithewaite

further explained. " What if she is given milk and supplements

for now while we look for a nursing mother that would

breastfeed her on a daily basis." Thomas said.

" I have told you already that the child is fragile and delicate

and what she needs right now is breast milk and nothing

else on a a daily basis and regularly, this needs to be done

fast as the baby would soon be awake." Dr Braithewaite said

getting irritated." But where do we find a nurse that would breastfeed

the child on a daily basis?" Thomas asked obviously confused.

" Hmmmmmm..." Dr Braithewaite breathed in deep in thought.

" I volunteer to help nurse the child." Valerie said to the surprise

of the doctor and Thomas. " You!!" Thomas said looking

at her closely for the first time since he entered the hospita.

" How is that even possible??" Thomas asked.

" Well there is 99.9 possibility, I guess." Dr Braithewaite

said. " How is that even possible, obviously we can see that

she is not a nursing mother then how can she breastfeed the child??"

Thomas asked bewildered." A new drug has been produced for that purpose

although it's specially for mother's that find it hard

to breastfeed there children after delivery. I don't know

if it will work on her since she hasn't given birth." Dr Braithewaite

explained. " I still want to try. If you will permit me sir."

Valerie said hopefully. Thomas was disturbed and confused

at the same time . It hasn't been up to a week that his wife died

and now a woman is going to stay in his house just for

the sake of his daughter. He had to do something quick

before things got out of hand. " Alright, you can commence

with whatever it is that you want to do." Thomas said and sank

on the chair dejectedly.
