"Really? Is that true?" Valeria asked Jose after he had shared the news to her.

Jose nodded. "We'll meet at a bar after work. Also, we're closing early."

"Oh, should I make that an announcement or..."

"No, just you and I." Jose corrected. 

"Right." Valeria's lips tightened to a pause. Awkward silence filled the air until Valeria decided to break it. "My day has been going well," she spat out. But there was something else she wanted to say to him...why couldn't ah remember now!

"That's good to hear." Jose replied. "And I hope you like the dress?"

Right, the dress! "I loved it. Thank you so much, I was going to-"

"No, it's fine. I'm just glad you liked it." 

His words were far from soothing. Something annoyed her whenever she was with him. Why does he always have to be so cold to her!

"Anyway, I'll leave now. Good luck and be careful with Alejandro. The guy might actually think that you like him."
