23 Meeting the Parents

Mitsune and Touma arrived at the Hyuga Compound. The guards only nodded slightly at Mitsune and allowed them in.

Touma was shocked and excited by the sight of the Hyuga compound. There are a lot of kids with black hair and white eyes running around. He sensed that there were only a few powerful shinobi inside, probably due to the ensuing war. The shinobi left were probably the main core of the family. Mitsune pulled Touma towards a big courtyard on the left side of the compound.

"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" Mitsune yelled excitedly while dragging Touma along.

The door opened and soon a tall middle aged man along with a long haired beautiful woman came out. The man was grinning widely while the woman was with a gentle smile.

"Ahh, my little sun-sun is back!" The man exclaimed happily.

Then he suddenly ran to Mitsune and proceeded to hug her while rubbing his face on her cheeks.

"Dad! Stop! Ahhh!" Mitsune said while persistently trying to push her father off of her.

The woman just smiled and proceeds to shook her head. She then looked at Touma and gently smiles at him. Touma was shocked and looks down shyly. Mitsune's father saw what happened and proceeds to let go of his daughter and went towards Touma.

"Hahaha! My wife is beautiful ain't she?" The man said while patting Touma in the back.

Touma was shy but he tried to compose himself and began to raise his head trying to look and talk to the man.

"Yes Uncle! Bu- But I think Mitsune is even more beautiful" Touma said shyly while twiddling his feet.

Mitsune and her parents were shocked at what Touma said. Mitsune began to fiddle with her fingers and her face begins to go red. Her parents smiled at each other before laughing out loud.

"Y- yo you! Wh- what are you say- saying in front of my parents? Baka! Baka! Baka!" Mitsune shouted while running inside her room with her face all red.

Mitsune's father laughed louder and looks toward Touma who has a confused expression.

"Ah I guess you're good with words too huh? Just like your old man!" Mitsune's father exclaimed.

"My old man? You mean you know my dad??!" Touma was shocked at what the man said.

"Hahahaha Why ofcourse! Fuji-san was our family's biggest benefactor!" The man exclaimed happily.

"Then why didn't I see you on my dad's funeral" Touma asked sounding more confused.

"I'm sorry we didn't know, we only knew later on because we were running an errand outside the village. You know with the ensuinh war and all. Let's go inside we'll tell you all about it." The man led Touma inside and told him to sit by the table, the woman served muttons and tea for everyone and they all sat down.

"Let's me start with introducing ourselves. I'm Hyuga Renji, I'm the youngest brother of the Hyuga Clan Head. This is Miyanaka Ayame, my wife. As you may already know we are Mitsune's parents. We moved here from kumogakure 3 years ago."

"It's nice to meet you aunt and uncle. Did you meet my father in Kumo then?" Touma asked while grinning widely.

"Yes, I left my clan years ago because I couldn't accept the incorporationg of that damned seal in our clan's rules." Renji said with an indignant face.

"Watch your language honey, you are talking with a child. We wouldn't want him getting bad habits don't we??" Although Ayame said that with a gentle smile Touma could still feel cold chills on his back.

Renji coughs and apologizes to Touma.

"I apologize Touma. Now to continue with my story. I got fed up with the clan's rules and left the village to journey around and while doing so I stopped at Kumogakure. I was enthralled by the Raikages techniques as I have a lightning affinity myself, so I decided to stay there and train."

"But uncle I heard the byakugan was highly coveted by everyone especially kumo, didn't they try to take your eyes?" Touma asked with a confused tone.

"I was the greatest genius of our clan. I'm the best taijutsu expert while also being proficient with genjutsu as well. I used illusions to hide my eyes from everyone. It was going well for a few years as I have managed to learn the basics of the raikage's lightning armor. While on a mission, I expended a lot of my chakra in trying to save a comrade. My illusion wore off and they were able to see my byakugan." Renji said with a sad smile.

Touma stayed silent to allow Renji to go on.

"At first I was ok as the Raikage and I were close but after a while the other people started to greedily covet my eyes and the raikage couldn't do anything about it. Many people assaulted me so I was forced to escape with Ayame and Mitsune. At first the escape was going well as the Raikage secretly helped me and I was pretty op with my lightning armor and gentle fist combination but the other council members and clans persistently assaulted me. When we were nearing to be captured as I was running out if chakra, your father suddenly came and thrashed all of them." Renji said laughing while recalling the memory.

"He just helped you like that? I don't remember my father being that generous" Touma said even more confused.

Renji and Ayame laughed hearing what Touma said.

"Actually after Fuji-san scared away our pursuers when Renji asked him why he helped he said "Well it would be a waste to see you guys die, you did surprisingly well in fighting them byakugan guy! Easy there! Although your byakugan is convenient my super Overpowered self has no need of it. Whoa You have a hot wife and a really cute daughter as well. You were lucky I was passing by Let's go come with me I'm a medic." We followed him and stayed with us for a few weeks to help Renji heal and told us stories before telling us he has to go back as he remembered that left his son alone in his lab." Ayame said while giggling.

"Yeah I think I remember that! Dad suddenly left me to fend for myself for weeks. I was 4 years old then." Touma said while pouting.

The door opened and in came Mitsune who was still slightly upset of Touma for embrassing her.

"We'll continue this at a later date" Renji said while smiling.

"Hello Mitsune!" Touma said with a wide smile.

"Hmpf!" Mitsune scoffed while turning her head away.

"Heyyy, are you angry?" Touma asked worriedly.

"Bakaa! Don't talk to me! You embarassed me in front of my parents!" Mitsune said while eating her muttons.

"But I only told them the truth why are you angry? Here you can have my muttons as an apology" Touma said while giving Mitsune all his food.

Mitsune scoffs but looking at Touma's innocent sad eyes caused her to give in and she ate the food offered to her. They made up and started talking happily afterwards.

After a while Touma left the Hyuga compound remembering his training with Jiraiya while promising the three that he'll visit again.

"Goodbye Touma! See you tomorrow!" Mitsune waived happily.
