21 Testing, Trouble, girl.

We made our way towards the area to test our affinities, While we were doing so I could feel a slight tinge of animosity directed towards me but I chose to ignore it. The prince by my side spoke without a care as he divulged the disadvantages of being a prince.

"Being a prince isn't what people think it is, it's tiresome"

He said whilst heaving a sigh, Apparently being a prince was all work and no play.

"Father never lets us do anything we like because it might be "shameful" and as princes, we need to set an "example" for the people"

Telling me about his life might be a bit oversharing I mean we just met but then again I'm the one who asked, never had any close friends in my past life but it always seemed nice to have friends, I never believe the friendship in anime was the same as real life but I must have been close enough.

"You are the prince, that comes with a set of responsibilities I suppose"

"Yes, I know but can't I take a break from being a prince"

Before I could respond we arrived at the testing area, there are wooden booths that number to about 5, 4 of those booths have long lines while the other is empty, I assume the one with long lines are for commoners and the other ones are for nobles, I guess the whole "family status doesn't matter" thing only begins once school does.

"Welcome your highness and lady, I will be the one testing your attributes and determine which class you belong to, please tell me your name, no need for his highness to tell me his name"

"Elia Saxonwold"

I told the elderly man with a long white beard and a red pointy hat, he wore some baggy robes and carried a staff with him, a typical image of a mage, I decided it would be best to keep my guard up and I spread a thin layer of chakra around myself, mages are troublesome.

In front of the mages was a table counter that had a crystal clear and shiny ball on top of it, which is a crystal ball meant for testing one's affinity.

fun fact crystal balls can be used in a variety of ways, like testing for magic signatures, recording audio and they can be used to seal certain type of spirits or house spirit familiar, a warrior who is powerful enough to gain the favor of a spirit has to buy a crystal ball that will act as the house of the spirit, provided they don't seal the spirit within themselves.

While there are audio recording crystal balls there aren't any Video recording ones, I guess the people of this world know how sound works but not how light does, television coming soon.

"Please place your hand on top of the ball for 10 seconds, if you have an affinity with any of the elements it will glow, for fire it's red, water is pale blue, the wind is green, the earth is brown, dark blue for lightning"

The prince being eager jumped at the opportunity and quickly placed his hand on top of the ball and looked at me before smiling, he didn't say a word, the ball glowed red.

The mage noted it down, however, the prince didn't let go of the ball and continued to place his hands, the red light faded from the crystal ball before it glowed once again but this time dark blue.

"INCREDIBLE-"

The Mage shouted but quickly covered his mouth when he saw the prince making a shhh gesture, I don't know why he is telling the mage to keep it a secret there is already plenty of people who saw and there are already some murmurs, Prince Alphonse let go of the ball and looked at me with a smile.

"So what do you think?"

"Impressive your majesty, possessing a dual attribute is quite rare"

I Said, feigning surprise but I didn't really care, I mean I have all five affinities so it's not that Impressive but I at least have to offer a compliment.

The Mage frantically wrote down what he just saw, he seemed rather quite shocked, too shocked.

In the magic books I read, it Said anyone can have a second element provided they train hard enough, but for that to happen the element you have an affinity for has to be somewhat close to the other.

Like people with fire affinity are most likely to unlock wind or lightning as their second element and people with water are likely to unlock earth as their second

"Now you, young lady please place your hand on the crystal ball"

As the mage said I contemplated whether or not I should reveal my affinity with all the elements, logically I should hide it afterall it was because of my unique nature that caused Adam to come after me and if I want to live peacefully I shouldn't cause any stir that may attract unwanted attention but the thing is I don't want to live peacefully I'm planning to elevate father's status to Marquis and that means people are gonna come after me regardless.

I placed my hand on top of the crystal ball and waited, the ball glowed a dark blue the mage nodded then waited to see if I had a second element as well and a second later the back glowed Green, I decided to pull back my hand this time, best be cautious.

"AMAZING TWICE IN A ROW, THIS IS INCREDIBLE"

this time he shouted clearly, and threw his hand in the air out of pure joy, all the people who saw us All began to murmur even louder the mage started mumbling something about the headmaster and some inaudible things.

I figured I should be cautious, I don't want to hide my strength and want to show people that I'm not to be messed with, however revealing everything all at once can be disadvantageous, with the prince being a dual affinity as well then I won't be the odd one out

"OH my God Elia I had no idea you had a dual affinity as well"

He grabbed my hands, his eyes sparkled in amazement, he was far too excited and giddy for something like this, I suppose he must think of Me as a rival of sorts too bad for him he'll never reach my level, I'm just built differently.

"HEY!! Alphonse what are you doing"

A Feminine voice of a girl hissed at us, the prince immediately let go of my hands and turned to look at the girl, I could tell he recognized her by the look of shock on his face.

"Ophelia what are doing here?"

He asked a dumb question, obviously, she'd be here just like every noble child including some commoner children as well.

"A dumb question brother, obviously she'd be here"

Another voice spoke, I looked towards the owner and he was the spitting image of Alphonse the only thing setting them apart were the eyes.

"The better question is what are doing you with a woman that isn't me?"

The girl questioned, she Had silky brown hair and beautiful emerald green eyes, she had unblemished skin and I could tell she was blossoming into the Beauty she was meant to be, She scowled at me seemingly Sizing me up to determine my threat level.

Being an avid reader of novels and such in my past life I knew what this scenario was and thought it best to clear any misunderstanding early on.

"My Name is Elia-"

"Nobody asked you, shut up"

I raised a brow at her interruption, she seemed to be the Fiesty type who won't listen to others, probably arrogant.

"Amusing that you think I need your permission to speak, My name is Elia Saxonwold, I don't care for your attitude, you may discuss your issues without me"

I said the girl seemed shocked and at a loss for words I'm guessing nobody has talked to her like that before, turning myself towards the mage and asked him to point towards the next part of the testing area and he did.

"Heh"

As I walked away I let out a small chuckle because that was the first time since Adam that I've actually felt a tinge of anger

........

'What an interesting lady'

Albert Thought to himself as he watched Elia walk away.

"Alphonse who was that girl and why was she with you I thought we were scheduled to take the tests together"

"Forgive me lady Ophelia it completely slipped my mind, I apologize"

Alphonse did a bow as he apologized to his fiancé, But inwardly he was impressed by Elia, this was the first time someone didn't care for Ophelia's status and told her off like that, he hadn't pegged her to be like that.

"You're not answering my question!!"

Ophelia was very angry, She didn't like the way Elia spoke to her just now but she needed answers first before dealing with her, if she turned out to be a thieving bitch she was going to deal with her.

"OH yes as she said she's is Elia the daughter of Baron Saxonwold, she's a friend I just met today"

"What!!!!

Ophelia shouted but quickly looked around before reining in her surprise, a mere daughter of a Baron dares speak to her in such a manner, she must be courting death.

"Ah, I thought she looked familiar...."

Albert came to the realization, that it was the same girl in the painting that his brother painted.

"What do you mean"

Alphonse realizing that his brother was about to spill the beans quickly rushed past Ophelia and covered his mouth.

"Nothing, he thought she looked familiar because he saw her at the debut ball"

A lie, while Elia was indeed at the debut ball, Albert was too busy to notice anything aside from the girls that were trying to gain his favor. However he was willing to cooperate with his brother for once, with a nod, Alphonse removed his hand from Albert's mouth.

"Ahem, Your hands are sweaty, never do that again and yes I did recognize her from the ball, anyway let's take our test, brother you're gonna wait for us yes?"

"Yes of course"

"Great I want to show you how good I am at sword once we're done here, I've been practicing"

Ophelia was the one who spoke, with a hint of pride, as the daughter of a Duke it would be shameful if she could not wield a sword, plus getting praise from Alphonse would be great

...

I made my way into a large hall, within the hall there were a lot of students, the students were standing there doing nothing some were chatting with friends others were loners standing by themselves.

I could see that a lot of them seemed pissed off at something others were tapping their legs as they stood, while others were playing games, I could tell this was some sort of waiting room.

I was about to wait when a person that looked to be in his early thirties came up to me.

"Elia Saxonwold?"

He asked and I nod and then he motioned me to follow him, he led me towards a door, and we entered, and the door led us outside Into what I think is the training field judging by the wooden dummies.

"Please wait here, your turn will be after that girl"

He pointed at the girl that stood at the center, in front of her was another old man that looked like an adventurer, the girl had silver white hair and wore a white shirt with a breastplate and trousers she carried a sword at her waist.

Off to the side was a table of what I think are judges that'll probably judge which class she gets into based on her skills.

I Activated my Sharingan might as well copy some fighting skills.

"Begin"

As soon as it was spoken the girl rushed the man, once she reached him she did an upward right slash, aiming for his neck, the man bent back slightly and thrust his foot forward but the girl jumped back dodging it.

She then brought her sword in front of her, she went once more this time holding the sword with both hands she did a diagonal swing going for the abdomen, the man swung his sword parrying the attack, he used just enough force to offset her momentum causing her swing to go backward leaving her momentarily open, he swung his sword up, the girl did a backflip dodging the attack.

Landing on her feet she exhaled and breathed before another inhale, she leaped forward once more closing the gap in a split second, it seems she became faster.

The man was shocked by the sudden boost in speed, and the girl's swings became faster, at first, it seemed the Man was relaxed but now he was serious.

her speed was truly impeccable, a normal person would only be seeing silver streaks of light as the girl continuously attacks.

The man was kept on his toes though he was still holding back, it seems the girl warranted his attention, he had to duck down, bent backward, and parry her continuous attacks.

"Enough"

With those words the match stopped, the judges looked at each other and mumbled some things before nodding.

"Remelia Benretti, A-class"

"Yes!!"

One of the judges stated, and the girl did a fist pump and seems she was happy with the results however I wasn't because the girl is a Benretti, they hold a century-old grudge against the Saxonwolds, I for one don't care but she's gonna bother me about it.

The girl made her way in my direction with a smile on her face before she frowned as soon as she saw me.

"I didn't know the Royal academy accepted the treacherous bloodline of The Saxonwold into their hall"

As soon as she was close she uttered, I just simply ignored her and walked towards the stage, whatever she has been told by her family is either true or false and I don't care enough to dig up a century-old event that has no relevance today.

"Alright Elia Saxonwold, you are to showcase your ability in front of us and we will judge which class you're suited to, please use your strongest attack or spells"

One of the old men said as soon as I arrived at the center. Oh, I see depending on my skills they're going to assign me either A-class or F-class I don't know if there is an s-class but let's go for that.

The man who brought me here stood in front of me, taking the place of the other guy.

"Begin"

Elia wasted no time, she Activated her byakugan and disappeared from her position.

"What the---"

*tiff tiff tiff*

Before the examiner could process what happened or finish his sentence three silent blows were delivered to the 3 areas, the heart, the stomach, and the neck.

The man dropped to the floor face first, he was unconscious.

The mages that were supposed to judge her dropped their pens and their mouths were wide open in shock and awe.

"What happened!!, how did she do that"

"SHE JUST DISAPPEARED AND HE DROPPED"

"SOMEONE CALL A DOCTOR, THIS MAN MIGHT BE DEAD"

The other examiner quickly got off his seat and hurried into the building to look for a doctor.

"Perhaps I overdid it"
