83 Chapter 86: Tempest Wolves Vs Goblin Village [Part 1]

'Indeed, not simple' Long Shin sighed as he looked at the status screen of Storm Wolf King, at first, he only thought that Storm Wolf King was a bit more powerful than a regular tempest wolf something like a mutant, but the stats of Storm proved that he was sourly mistaken.

Even comparing the two beings was an insult to Storm Wolf King, it was no different than comparing a King governing a nation to a beggar roaming the streets.

From the moment he got the wolf squad Storm had never truly fought, he always stuck close to him, as if ready to protect him from any possible danger.

But he saw a mere glimpse of what the creature was capable of after he was done devouring the corpses previously, some of the corpses were in so terrible state that long shin doubted that any goblin or tempest wolf was capable of showing such ruthlessness that should only belong to a top predator.

Make no mistake, it wasn't that the prey hunted by other dark soldiers were in good shape but compared to some of the corpses they could probably be considered lucky.

A few of the corpses had claw marks and quite a few were crushed brutally, while others were dismembered in two parts with a clean yet vicious cut.

Each and every injury was speaking that they had encountered an absolute irresistible force that slaughtered them brutally as soon as their presence was known.

Long Shin concluded that it was Storm's doing who was tasked to protect him while he was immersed in devouring the corpses.

"Tempest Wolf squad come out!" with his one order the fourteen tempest wolves including the one who guided him to the goblin village stood in line.

Every one of the wolves was ferocious predators, but they still paled in front of Storm showing why he was called the Wolf King.

"Take the tempest wolves with you and destroy the village, remember allow no one to escape" Long Shin looked at Storm while saying, the reason of giving such order was simple.

He wanted to test Storm's intelligence as well as his ability to command the tempest wolves, wolves are creatures who hunt in packs, so it made no sense for Storm to not have the ability to command the tempest wolves.

ZEN!

A glint of intelligence passed through Storm's glowing red eyes as he heard the order of his master.

AAAOOOOUUU!

He looked at the tempest wolves as he howled as if ordering them to do his beading.

When Storm was in front of Long Shin he appeared like a puppy, following his every order while making no sound when he wasn't needed.

But... now that he was in front of the tempest wolves, he showed his majesty as a King.

His howl made every tempest wolf lower its proud head in total submission not daring to raise it again, while his regal and majestic aura let them know that he was a true Alpha.

Growl!

Issuing a low growl Storm ran towards the goblin village in a leisure phase.

AAOU!

AAOUU!

One by one the tempest wolves raised their heads and howled as if acknowledging the fact that Storm was their King, and that his orders were only below their Sovereign.

Tempest wolves didn't howl for long as they followed behind Storm like a well-trained squadron of veteran combatants.

Long Shin, seeing this scene nodded to himself.

The goblins weren't that creative, but they were still able to make a working village.

The whole village was divided into three circles, first was the outer circle where most of the goblin warriors, scouts, and the rest of the likes stayed. After that came the inner circle which was more tightly monitored compared to the outer circle, and of course it was also smaller than the outer circle.

Lastly the core circle, which was the smallest of the three circles, but had most of the guards patrolling the parameters.

The Population of the goblins in the village was close to a thousand, but only about five hundred of them were warriors or other capable professionals who could fight or assist in fight. The rest were normal goblins.

Of course, they weren't to be underestimated, the run-down wooden walls of the village had many goblin scouts and goblin archers guarding and looking out for any potential prey or enemy alike.

The goblin warriors patrolled the streets of the village as well as the outer circle of the walls, they were also stationed at every corner of the wooden walls.

The goblin mages were rather scarce compared to the previous three professions which wasn't surprising considering that goblins weren't that intelligent race to begin with, the birth of a goblin mage within a goblin village is a very rare case.

And very few of them become capable mages able to manipulate mana to cast skills and the likes.

So, most of them were stationed on the inner zone of the village which appeared to be slightly better than the rest of the area, indicating that high ranking goblins in the village stayed there.

Goblin mages were stationed in different places to monitor the whole inner circle.

Lastly the core circle, the core circle was the smallest of the three circles yet was the most guarded circle.

It only had one huge tent that reached more than ten meters in height and expanded to several tens of meters in all four directions.

Goblin warriors patrolled the parameters of the huge castle like tent in a team of ten, and every place and every corner were in tight watch.

If that wasn't enough, then even the rare goblin mages who were very few in the inner circle could be seen in every part of the core circle.

They were separated into groups of two as they seriously watched their surroundings.

With this amount of exaggerated security even a child would be able to tell that the highest-ranking goblin inhabited the castle like tent.

The goblin village was surrounded by wooden walls that reached more than fifteen meters in height, but they appeared rundown and primitive.

The sole reason for those walls to still stand firmly on the ground was that the trees in the forest of beginning were originally more tough compared to normal trees, they were also thicker and longer.

Had the goblins used normal trees as the materials for the wooden walls it's expected to have already collapsed ten times over, that's how poor their craftsmanship was.

The walls also had watch towers, and every watch tower had four goblin scouts to watch over the area around their tower.

On that note the goblin scouts had better eyesight compared to goblin warriors and mages, their eyesight was only a little worse than goblin archers.

But they made up for that with their tracking, night vision, and many other initiate skills that made them perfect for keeping watch as well as scouting the unknown areas.

On one of the goblin scout towers where four goblin scouts were keeping watch.

This should've been a normal day like any other day for the goblins, no animal dared to venture near their village borders as the structure itself was enough to strike fear in the minds of low-level species.

As for the more powerful species such as Dire wolves, brown bears and the likes. They have goblin archers and many of them at that, the outcome of these creature is only to become their food.

It wouldn't be wrong to say that their village rules the surrounding areas like an overlord, until today that is...

"KUKUKU!?!"

Just as the goblin scouts were keeping watch one of them began to shout loudly as it pointed in a certain direction.

The rest of the three goblins also came near him to see what he saw to make him shriek so loudly.

"KUKU?!"

The goblins had to rub their eyes to make sure that they weren't hallucinating.

From afar a cloud of dust was coming towards their village like a storm ready to run havoc.

The dust and dirt were flying everywhere as the storm ravaged everything in its path.

When the goblin scouts focused more on it, they found to their horror that the incoming storm wasn't actually a storm, but instead a dark winged wolf with two horns standing on its head was running at their village.

The creature was like a dark shadow clad in darkness, its eyes were glowing red emitting pressure of the mighty hunter.

The shoulder height of the creature was roughly about two meters, and the length of the creature including its tail was more than five meters.

It was coming towards them with a battalion of dark wolves following behind him like well-trained combatants.

Although not as scary as the former, the wolves also had large frames and were like dark shadows, their glowing eyes only served to make their enemy's body tremble at their sight.
