9 Magic...? again?

Ok so Spell creation, or spell casting in general is apparently complicated stuff, there are 2 ways to go about it, Calculation and imagination, calculation is the more straight forward option but is harder, you have to do mental calculations about all sorts of things, and you have to have knowledge of physics, or anything really, you can use your knowledge of chemistry or something like that to do pretty much anything you can do mentally.

Acid creation, gravity manipulation, fire creation, and so on. but you have to do the calculations EVERY time you want to do anything, it wont be saved to your brain or anything allowing you to just spam it after you've done the calculation once.

If you want to make a gravity spell, you have to have knowledge on everything related to gravity, be able to mentally calculate the process behind it and then use mana you gather to simulate the process you just calculated, you then have to do it again to do the same spell another time, so this magic is reserved for the smart, cyborgs or determined, well even if you have the will power to learn everything needed, you might not have enough brain power to calculate the things needed.

Imagination spell creation is a whole other can of worms, it is easier but it requires a whole magic system, in the form of runes, or a language, you can make your own or convince a spell creator to teach you theirs or learn a common magic system.

Imagination spell creation also requires, you guessed it imagination, you have to create the language and link it to something that gathers magic own its own, by doing this will create a source of power that allows the language to function when spoken.

You then use the words in conjunction with your imagination to imagine what you want and mana gathering to form magic.

The source can be anything and can be anywhere but will respond to commands, but it will only respond to people that have been given permission to use the magic.

Its kinda like praying, you need something to pray to for you to receive anything, some magic systems actually function off gods, totally removing the need for a source since the god works as one.

And some magic systems actually just work in whatever language you know but those are usually exclusive to people blessed by gods, or magic apps, that translate the language you say the spell in, into the magic system the app uses.(Kinda like Karin Yuuki who uses her curse to power spells of her own creation)

Most mages, usually use common magic systems, magic apps use the same system as most magic users, no one knows where the source of common magic systems are though, and no one knows who made them and gave permission for every being capable of learning it, to be able to use it.

You can also use common magic systems without verbally saying it, but you have to be proficient in that system.

But you cant create a spell using a magic system not created by you, so the most powerful of mages have their own for custom spells., and they use pre made spells, that you can just learn to fill the rest of their arsenal, but after you've made a spell, you can just say its name and you can do it instantly.

Or some are just smart enough for the other method, Calculation magic, it used by pretty much no one because people dont want to go through the effort of studying alot of crap, memorizing it, and getting good enough to do things computers are supposed to do, mentally.

But it is considered powerful, because you can create virtually anything on the spot, and not have to go through the tedious process of making your system, then sitting down and creating spells using the language.

No one actually knows how calculations are transferred to magic, but pretty much no one cares since the method isn't used by lots anyway.

"Ok so my best bet is, magic systems, but making my own will take alot of time, then crafting spells using it will take even longer." I think out loud.

"But turning into a human computer is not going to be fun,"

I also have to think about which can take me farther, like Physic spell casting is very versatile, I can create a spell whenever for any situation that may occur, but Imagination spell casting, requires me to first make the system then sit down and program the spell using the language, so that wouldn't really work out when I need a spell asap,

"I think Physic spell casting, is the way to go, it can get me very far, plus I can easily learn a common spell system. To fill in the weakness of having to do a calculation every time you want to do any type of spell" I nod at my thinking.

"But now I need to find books, or something else to learn" I grumble and lean against the tree behind me. Sighing I stand up just as I notice Touta and Yukihime coming back.

This was a huge info dump, but I wanted everyone to know exactly how the magic works going forward, so Im not questioned when I do stuff with it.
