Chaos, blade and transfiguration

Fang Xian inspected his new rank four soul land, due to the unyielding demon soul being a rank six immortal soul, it was naturally huge, although it couldn't be compared to Fang Xian's immortal rank one aperture, it was still vastly larger than Fang Xian's mortal rank eight soul land.

Speaking of the unyielding demon soul, Fang Xian and his future(or past) self were fighting, Fang Xian's counterpart used an incomplete soul technique that Fang Xian himself had developed to seal the soul, since Fang Xian's cultivation level had gone up three times, it had been forcefully awakened.

'This unyielding demon soul has many other benefits, at the end of my last life, I created the unyielding demon body also, I didn't get chance to infuse my soul into it though, if I did, I would have had no need to rebirth in the first place, in the end it was all because of my brother!' Fang Xian was somewhat angry, however, he calmed himself.

The unyielding demon soul had a few main abilities: reversing time, life after death, the ability to survive without food or water for an infinite amount of time and finally, the strongest ability: the ability to randomly summon a future version of yourself during times of need.

In theory, Fang Xian could summon his immortal rank six counterpart as a slave, this was too great!

However, with benefit comes tribulation, to activate this ability, one had to have the same rank of immortal soul qi as the servant you are attempting to summon, had to use fate path methods to momentarily break free of fate and even then there was only a one in a billion certainty of it even happening.

Naturally, Fang Xian didn't know of the conditions, the existence of fate path or even that a third effect of the unyielding demon immortal soul existed!

He wasn't near omniscience, or even a fraction of it. His knowledge could be considered great amongst rank six immortals, however, amongst rank seven, he would be treated as an idiot!

With each rank, many things increased. The cultivator's knowledge, power, size of aperture, and lifespan all improved.

Fang Xian was only a rank four mortal, but he had the knowledge of a rank six immortal, this was a great advantage!

Thus, only he could cultivate chaos path as a mortal.

'I need to increase my strength, my first goal is to reach immortal level, only then can I pursue my goals! However, I cannot rush it. I want to achieve peak battle strength in each mortal rank before ascension. Therefore, I will cultivate the three strongest paths available to me, chaos, blade and transfiguration. With these, I can create an immortal-level soul technique!'

Transfiguration path was a special path, it was a man-made path that didn't exist prior to human existence.

The essence of transfiguration was to change form into something different, becoming a beast or person. Rank eight transfiguration overlords can even become chaos or heaven, the power of transfiguration path was amazing!

Most paths existed before humanity, as soon as the human ancestor was born, he knew the names of these paths and created their names based on his knowledge.

Some paths created by humans were the murder path created by Heaven Killing Demon Overlord, the lifespan path created by Eternal Demon Overlord, the truth path created by Truth-Seeking Heavenly Overlord, and the fate path created by Fate Defying Heavenly Overlord.

Transfiguration path was related to one of Fang Xian's goals, along with lifespan and truth path.

This goal was long-term; he didn't need to worry about it at this moment.

'To use transfiguration path, I should gain rank four transfiguration path soul beasts. It seems I will have to join a sect, I will join my original heavenly sect and become an elder instantly, there are many things I can exploit from my first life, after I obtain a satisfactory set of soul beast, I will travel the world and cultivate, becoming an immortal!' Fang Xian planned out in his mind.

Sects usually had a specific system. Rank one and two were disciples, rank three were great disciples, rank four and five were elders, rank six were great elders, rank seven and eight were sect leaders.

The area surrounding the forest where Fang Xian was reborn had three factions, two of them Fang Xian had already extorted, he had even eradicated one of them!

These three factions were Ye Tribe, Zhi Village and Crimson Heavenly Sect, the sect which Fang Xian and Fang Ling had joined in his first life.

Zhi Village and Ye Tribe were neighbours, but Crimson Heavenly Sect was on the other side of the forest, if it was closer, Fang Xian wouldn't have done anything to Ye Tribe and Zhi Village, he would have been persecuted.

'I suspect Crimson Heavenly Sect already knows of my affairs and are planning to exterminate me. That is why I must leave this place!' Fang Xian affirmed in his mind.

He was still residing in Zhi Village's old territory.

Fang Xian had long since patched the hole he created in the fence of Zhi Village during his break in, however, it was still visible as the sort of 'entrance' of Zhi Village. Therefore, Fang Xian suspected there to be people from Crimson Heavenly Sect watching that area, he was vigilant and precise.

He used the rank two chaotic harness and used the chaos to increase his strength, power and speed, breaking through the other side of the fence, dashing into the cover of the forest.

He ran through the forest all the way to the other side, stopping just before the trees ended and he proceeded to aim a burst of chaos at the ground, creating a sizeable hole and entering it, covering the hole on top to make it seem inconspicuous. The hole was completely drenched in darkness.

Fang Xian stayed here for two months , without food or water, he cultivated. He had managed to make all of the blade path soul beasts into rank four beasts, he could now use the soul technique.

He would call this soul technique - Chaotic Dragon Formless Blade!
