He could hear their giggles down the hall as he hastened his steps to his destination. Not bothering to knock on the door, he opened the open widely startling the three ladies. Two ladies instantly bowed their heads in submission while one stared at the intruder, worry etched on her face.

"What is wrong?" She had never seen her brother so disheveled. He looked really frightened and that scared her. What could have been the problem?

"Run" Evan, the Frost pack's next Alpha, and only son to Alpha Aloha and Luna Beth, who rarely shows his fear said one word, a word which made the three ladies shudder. "You need to run. Wristy pack warriors are on their way here" the ladies all scrambled to their feet. One of them dashed out of the room as fast as her legs could take her, the only thought in her head was she needed to go to her family. He thought of stopping her but decided against it.

"Y...ou...why?" Her voice shaky, she refused to believe they attracted the attention of that lunatic.

"You need to follow me now, and you Lillian, I will take you along" Lillian, the daughter of the Frost pack's Beta nodded hastily. She knew it would be useless to also run off. Her parents will be with the Alpha and her siblings, they will be preparing for battle.

Evan led the ladies in the direction of a safe room. It was an underground room built for the purpose of hiding the pack's females and children who couldn't go to battle.

"What of mother?" Evan only cast a glance at his sister, before continuing down the stairs

"Mother will be joining you with the other females. Remember, you cannot come out until we come for you" even though he said so, he knew the possibility of them ever meeting would be slim.

"But why are we walking towards the dungeon area?" She was quick to notice as Evan turned towards a different route. They were supposed to turn left.

"You will be safe" he assured her not wanting to waste more time explaining things to them.

"Lillian, keep her safe" he ordered and Lillian immediately swore to do that. With the Beta's blood running in her veins, she is obligated to protect the Alpha's family even at the cost of her life.

Evan opened a cell door, the stench from the cell made the ladies gag as they hastily covered their noses, 'What is that smell?' They both wondered. Evan seemed like he was not bothered by the stench, instead he moved around until his hand pushed a brick. The walls opened and he signaled they went in.

"If you look through there" he pointed in a direction "In the case no one comes to get you out after three nights, run." He saw his sister was about to say something but he shook his head. "This is father's order. He does not want Frost's pack to end with him, Antonella, you must protect it." He told her smiling.

"No! Evans, you are a better leader than I am, you know I don't know anything. I don't even have a clue as to what I should do. Please, Evans, you should stay here instead. Only you can protect the pack" Antonella cried as she held onto her brother's arm not wanting to let go but alas, Evans is much stronger than she is.

"Remember all those training, redo them, practice hard with seriousness and you will do it. You are an Alpha's daughter Anto, I believe in you. Father believes in you, and so does mother and the pack." Antonella shook her head as tears flowed down her cheeks.

"I have to leave now" Evans suddenly says. He had tried to act strong but still, his voice choked. "I love you Antonella, and I am sorry I never told you that as much as I should" Antonella cried even more

"Stop talking as though we won't meet again. You will bring mom here too right?" She suddenly remembered in all their conversation, it sounded like her mother's fate had been decided.

"Go" Evan pushed her in as he locked the door. He watched his sister with tears in his eyes, blurry he imprinted her in his heart.

Running back to the others, he saw the women and kids being taken to the secret room. Everyone watched their cold young Alpha hug his mother as he cried. The Luna patted her son back, "Go and let them know you aren't to be messed with." She was much more better than her son. Her voice was firm and the women who had become fearful upon seeing Evan cry got their worry lessened

'If a mother is not worried that her son would die, why should they be worried? The Alpha will protect them' while most of the women had such thoughts, the beta female and gamma female looked at each other. They knew their pack has met its end. For the past month, which pack has survived the Wristy's attack?

The Wristy's pack's previous Alpha was a peaceful man and he reigned peacefully avoiding conflicts but he had unfortunately met his end under his brother's cold blade. Since the new Alpha, widely known as the Lunatic became its new ruler, every neighboring pack has known no peace. In a quest to rule more land, he went around killing and destroying lives, families, and properties.

Since he was defeating all the packs in war, no one deemed it necessary to stop him, even the Frost pack thought it unnecessary. His actions might be evil, crude, and inhumane but they all let him be. The Frost pack Alpha had been bothered when he destroyed a pack that had only two packs between them. But he thought, he wouldn't dare attack his. Their pack might not be large but they weren't such a small pack either.

How wrong was he though, the Lunatic will be on his doorstep soon.

"Alpha, they are here" a voice suddenly sounded in the Alpha's mind. It was the voice of his gamma.

"We should meet for a drink later tonight my friend" that was the Alpha's way of telling him to stay safe. The gamma had led some men to stop the intruders from coming in.

"Prepare to battle" the Alpha announced as the warrior's blood pulsed through their veins in excitement. So was the life of a warrior, the thought of battle gets them pumped up even with the possibility of the battle being their last. The Lunatics warriors especially would be a great opponent to fight against. He had raised an army out of rogues, wolves who have lived and survived in the wild all by themselves.

Those were the people who formed his team, his undefeatable warriors as it was rumored he calls them.

"We will make them regret coming!" The warriors chanted, and the sound of their charts stirred the Alpha's heart. These are his warriors, boys who had trained all their lives and now they are men!

They all scattered as they took their positions.

"I took her there father" the Alpha nodded not wanting to think of the fear his little girl might be facing now... "But Jessica is not with them" Jessica was the lady who had run off earlier. She presently is hidden with the Luna, her mother, and her sister with her.

"Why?" He had given the instruction to lock her up with her friends. That way, if they were to depart from this world, his little girl won't be all alone.

"She sprinted away before I could stop her." The Alpha knew it was a lie, Evan could stop three Jessicas if he so wished.

"And Lillian?" He questioned, the beta who has been listening from the side was also curious to hear the response.

"She is with Antonella. Should I take Jessica to them?" The Alpha shook his head. Taking her away in the presence of everyone will only show the selfish decision they came up with.

Asking Antonella to save the Frost pack was just an excuse. He was a father after all and the thought of losing his little girl to that Lunatic sword was one he couldn't swallow. He has raised her up as the princess she was, sheltered her from the cruelty of the world so how... How can he accept it if his daughter was to meet with such a tragic end?

If she is lucky? She will find her way into the human world and hopefully live her life as a normal person.

"Did you give her the map? Evan gulped cursing himself and wondering how he had forgotten to hand her a map.

"You didn't?" There were many paths the tunnel led to. What if she ends up in the hands of a cruel Alpha?

"I will take it to her now" Evan hurried to leave but was stopped by the cry of war. They were here already. As Evans and the Alpha engaged in battle, they could only hope Antonella will find her way to a happy life if they can't go to her.

More and more rogues poured in and doom the battle came to an end.

Four hours was what it took for the once beautiful Frost pack to turn into a gloomy place filled with the intense stench of blood and the corpse of both humans and wolves lying around.
