Chapter 19: Think

"Lia do you want want me to feed you?" Hazen smiles.

"Yes, it'll be sweeter if you feed me." I blush.

After our date we went to a garden filled with flowers.

"This is so beautiful." I look around.

"Not as beautiful as you."

"Stop it, you're so naughty." I playfully hit him on the chest while giggling.

He grabs my hand.

"Just for you, my honey pie."

"Really?"

"Yes my sweet potato."

"You're so cute, booboo bear."

"You're cuter, cupcake."

I giggle.

"And your giggle is much cuter, sugar pie."

"Enough now, bubble gum."

"You're mine now, remember." He growls, his hand tightened.

"Ow~ Booboo you're hurting me." I pout.

"Sorry, my sugarplum, I just can't control my strength specially when I see you with someone else."

"Awww my cutie patootie, sugar snap pea, bubba, lollipop, bibdi babdi booo, don't worry i'm yours."

"I know, hubba bubba." He hugs me. "You're always will be-"

"LIAAA!!"

"AHHH!" I open my eyes.

"I'm waking you up for 5 minutes straight get up!"

I sit on my bed.

Traumatized.

What kind of nightmare was that?

I rub my eyes. What the heck did I just see?

"What? get up." My mom says gathering my books.

"Mama, I had a really bad nightmare."

"You see what you imagine."

I am actually traumatized.

When did I imagine that?

"What did you saw that you look this shocked?"

"Mama, I can't tell you, it's too scary."

"You're so dramatic, get up." She leaves to the kitchen.

I look to my side were my sister is sleeping.

"Mia!" I shake her.

"Ah!" She get ups her eyes widened. "What! Is there a Tsunami?"

"No!" I shake her again.

She calms and sighs with relief.

"I saw that there was a Tsunami in my dream and I was saving people but no one was saving me."

"I saw something worse than that."

She turns her head to me.

"Why do you look as if someone just took out your soul?"

"I don't want to go."

"Where?" Mia ask confused.

"School."

"Why?"

"I am severely, painfully traumatized."

"Why? did you have a bad dream?"

"Nightmare."

"Oh. What was it?"

I look at her.

"It's- I can't tell you-"

"Lia! hurry up 10 minutes are left."

"Oh shit." I get up hurriedly and start getting ready.

Mia scratches her head and goes back to sleep.

In class

"I'm asking you again, what did see in your dre- nightmare that you look this terrified?"

Marina asks.

I am besides her, my head on the table.

"How am I even supposed to explain this?"

"Just simplify it."

"No, you will tease me later."

"I won't."

"You will."

"I promise, I won't."

"Ok, then don't laugh ok?"

"Promise, I won't."

"I saw-" I go closer to her. "I saw me and Hazen talking to each like a cringey couple, we were calling each other with weird nicknames." I whisper.

"Nicknames? like what?"

"Like-" I clear my throat soflty. "Booboo bear, sugar pie and-"

"Pfft-" Marina controls her laugh. "Sorry." She presses her lips together. "Uh, that's what you- pfft" She bursts out laughing.

I turn my head the other side.

"Sorry sorry, I just- I imagined it that's why it sounded funnier." She clears her throat and gives me a serious expression. "You're right, this is traumatizing."

I know she's laughing inside, I still can see her holding her laugh back.

"You can laugh." I say.

I mean it's true, there's nothing she can do but laugh. I would laugh too.

"But why did you have this dream?" She taps her finger on her chin.

I glare at her.

"You were the one who talked about him and me flirting yesterday and I kept thinking about it before sleeping."

"Why were you thinking about him and you flirting?"

I glare at her again.

"I was just analyzing the whole plan and thinking how dumb it was."

"Lia? can you read the next paragraph?" Mr. Mathew said.

Everyone looked towards me.

Oh, were are we? even Marina is lost.

"The third paragraph." Alex whispers looking back.

Is he a mind reader?

"Uh-" I can't read if Hazen is staring. That nightmare keeps replaying.

"Technology has evolved remarkably over the past few decades. The beginning of

modern-" I stop, my brain can't stop replaying that nightmare.

"What's wrong Lia? are you feeling ok?" Mr. Mathew says concerned.

"Looks like she's tired." Alex says.

"It's ok Lia you can seat, if you don't feel you can go home." Mr. Mathew says, continuing the class.

For the first time he has done something useful.

Break Time

"You should've stayed home." Says Marina as I walk like a zombie.

"It's ok, it was just a dream."

"You said that the for the 16th time already."

"It's ok, it was just a dream."

"17th."

"It's ok, it was-"

"Lia?!" She whines. "If you keep thinking about it, it could turn into reality." She says trying to stop me from thinking about that.

"Agh, don't say that."

"Then don't think about it, if not tonight again you'll have a dream about Hazen if you think about it so deeply."

"Stop, don't say that. I will stop, I won't even look at him, I will completely ignore him." I say with a determined expression on my face.

After some time I was walking towards the class when I saw Hazen approach me. I instantly turn around and walking rapidly to the other side.

In class

Hazen is walking towards me and the teacher is not here yet.

"Lia, can-"

"Oh teacher!" I walk towards the teacher as soon as she enters the class.

"Yes Lia?"

"Can I go to the bathroom?"

"Yes." The teacher smiles.

I walk as fast as I can to the bathroom.

For how long will I keep this up?
