12. Awakening the weather trio (Part 1)

Celebi teleported along with John and Pikachu, soon they landed near an active volcano, surrounded by vast sea and which appeared to be ready to burst any moment.

John:- "Is this the place ? but, where is Team Stygian ?"

Celebi:- "They will be here soon." John was frustrated with Celebi's perplexity, many questions were boiling inside him. He was no less than that active volcano at that moment. Celebi sensed that too.

John:- "Celebi I think this is high time you tell me everything. What is going on here, who is this Team Stygian and what is their purpose ?" Celebi looked towards John and started communicating with him telepathically.

Celebi:- "They are the people who use pokemons for fulfilling their maleficent intentions. For them pokemons are mere tools whom they want to use to embark their power and rule the world. All of them are nefarious but, the worst of them all is their leader Nova".

John:- "Nova!! the same person who is the director of Ever Grande City Research Center ?"

Celebi:- "Yes, although that is just his clever disguise from the world. In everbody's eyes he is a prestigious pokemon researcher and former champion of the Hoenn Region but, his true intentions are unapprehended. A few years ago he was doing a research on the enhanced evolution of the pokemons, an ability which raises the potential of a pokemon several times. But, this evolution is different than the way a pokemon evolves normally. Generally when a pokemon evolves its form changes and those changes are permanent. Although this evolution is different, and can't be achieved by the pokemon itself. It requires two necessary items, one is a key stone which is held by

the trainer and the other is a mega stone which is held by the pokemon. When these stones combine their strength together through the trust and belief between pokemon and its trainer, the pokemon evolves to the next level and this evolution is called Mega-Evolution. Its speciality is that this evolution is not permanent and pokemon can return to its original state." John and Pikachu both were hearing keenly, and were getting surprised by every word.

John:- "I never knew a power like this existed in this world!!"

Celebi:- "Indeed it is rare, and extremely dangerous if held by the likes of Nova. Not only normal pokemons but, legendary pokemons too have the ability of mega-evolution. And I don't need to mention how strong they can be once mega-evolved."

John:- "So that's his master plan, he wants to control the power of mega-evolution and use the army of pokemons for conquring this world."

Celebi:- "Not just any pokemon but, the legendary trio of Hoenn Region!! Rayquaza, Kyogre and Groudon."

John:- "That means he has the key stone and the mega stones of the legendary trio ?!!"

Celebi:- "Well evolution of these three is a bit different. Kyogre and Groudon does not exactly mega-evolve but, rather change into their primal forms, known as Primal-Kyogre

and Primal-Groudon, and the key to control them is Rayquaza. Inside Rayquaza's body lies an organ that contains the same power as a mega stone,scientist named this organ

the mikado organ. By consuming meteoroids as it flies through the stratosphere, the mikado organ will be filled with enough energy to enable Rayquaza's Mega Evolution."

John:- "That's why they were after those meteors, they want to gain control on Rayquaza first and then with its help, on Kyogre and Groudon."

Celebi:- "But this is just half the theory. Rayquaza is rarely seen by people; even in flight, its appearance is indistinguishable from that of a meteor. Hence for calling it, Nova needs a bait and the bait is the destructive battle between Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre."

John:- "You mean..." as John tried to finish his sentence they heard the sound of helicopters approaching and Nova's troops descended from the chopper.

Celebi:- "They are here." Soon a ship approached near the volcano and riding on that was Nova. In front of him there were two precious beautiful gems, those were the orbes for awakening Groudon and Kyogre from their long slumber.

"Be awaken the creators of land and the sea. I Nova command you rise from your slumber and show the world your true might!!!" and the orbes started glowing, lava started to boil in the volcano and tides started to rise in the sea. The earth was trembling and sky was rumbling, it was the time for emergence of the weather trio!!

A fierce clash is going to happen between the weather trio. What will be the consequences ? Find out in the next chapter.
