10. Blast from the past (Part 1)

"Aggron, Tyranitar use stone edge!!" "Alakazam use psybeam". "Venusaur use leaf storm". Venusaur is a squat, quadruped Pokémon with bumpy, blue-green skin. It has small, circular red eyes, a short, blunt snout, and a wide mouth with two pointed teeth in the upper jaw and four in the lower jaw. On top of its head are small, pointed ears with reddish pink insides. It has three clawed toes on each foot. The bud on its back has bloomed in a large pink, white-spotted flower. Alakazam is a Pokémon characterized by its humanoid structure and large mustache. A female Alakazam has a significantly shorter mustache than a male. It has a long, thin snout, narrow eyes, ear-like spikes extending from the top of its head, and an additional spike protruding from each cheek. Covering its yellow, skeletal body are brown armor-like sections over its chest, shoulders, forearms and knees. There are three toes on each foot, each of which has a white claw. Two of the toes face forward, while one faces backwards. It wields a silver spoon in each hand, which act as amplifiers for its psychic abilities. The attacks collided and a huge crater was formed in the battle field.

Dirk:- "Not bad, I guess you have lived up to my expectations Professor. After all this is the least I would expect from someone I have heard so much about".

Cross:- "This other bloke is alright as well, lets see if you can keep up the pace or not. Dirk you handle the Professor, I am dealing with this guy". Dirk smirked "with pleasure".

Cross:- "Tyranitar you know what to do". Tyranitar nodded and gave a loud roar. Soon a sand storm started building up, it was Tyranitar's ability sand stream. Alakazam's visibility was restricted. "Now use dark pulse".

Andrew:- "Alakazam quick, use safeguard". Alakazam protected itself from the attack. "We need to do something about this sandstorm first, hold on that stream of water near by. Alakazam use your psychic and use that stream to nullify this sandstorm". Alakazam did as was told to him, the stream cancelled Tyranitar's effect and the battlefield was brought back to normal conditions.

Cross:- "Hahaha man I am loving it, you are pretty good!! so what do you say we take the things up a notch or two ? Tyranitar use mega punch".

Andrew:- "So you want to play brute ha, alright then Alakazam use mega punch as well. You see I have trained Alakazam for hand to hand combat as well". Both the pokemons were pushed back by the force. "Tyranitar use dark pulse". "Alakazam counter it with psybeam", and again the attacks collided with an explosion.

John:- "Amazing, dad is as strong as ever, no wonder he was the most competitive opponent of Professor Oak in the Pokemon League". John was enjoying every moment of the

battle but, he sure was ready to step in if his father needed him at any point of time.

Celebi:- "No John, no matter what but, you must not interfere in the battle".

John:- "You read my thoughts!! but, why not, I must help them if situation goes out of hand".

Celebi:- "John you have to understand that flow of time and dimensions is a very delicate thing. Any step you take now will have its effects in the future. All these dimensions are interconnected, you might barge in now but, you will face the consequences in future". John understood what she meant by that, he was gutted but, he held on his emotions. On the other hand the battles were heating up. "Tyranitar use rock blast". "Quickly Alakazam counter it with psybeam and then use confusion".

Cross:- "Trying to be tricky, that won't work on me. Tyranitar use earthquake and shake Alakazam". Alakazam's defences were lowered by this sudden attack. "Now use dark pulse once more" and this time it hit its mark, a super effective move which hit Alakazam really hard. "This is checkmate, Tyranitar use hyperbeam".

Andrew:- "Well offence is the best defense. Alakazam you too use hyperbeam!!". The explosion was so great that it completely cleared up the near by surroundings. If it weren't for Celebi's safeguard John would have been severely injured, and when the dust cleared up, to everyone's surprise both the pokemons were still standing. But, Tyranitar was gravely injured, while on the other hand Alakazam was also a bit shaken but was in a much better condition, thanks to his last minute safeguard just before the explosion.

Cross:- "Till the end!! Tyranitar use stone edg...." and Tyranitar fell down. He was past his limits and collapsed on the ground!!
