CHAPTER FOURTEEN:CONFRONTATIONS AND POSSESSIVE MEN.

Liam hurriedly guided Kalina through the maze of the underground parking lot, his face in a blank stare as they neared the private elevator hidden away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi swarming the front of "Castillo Corp". His hand firmly clasped around hers, he felt a surge of protectiveness as they finally reached the sanctuary of the exclusive elevator.

The tension in the confined space was palpable, thick with the anticipation of the impending confrontation Liam knew they couldn't avoid. Kalina's grip tightened on his hand, her breaths coming in shallow gasps as she braced herself for what was to come.

As the elevator doors slid open, Liam stepped out first, followed closely by Kalina and their two vigilant bodyguards. Lisa, Dominique's personal assistant, shot up from her desk, her eyes widening in recognition as she took in Kalina's disheveled appearance which was the exact replica of what she had just seen on the news a few minutes ago. She had witnessed countless women come and go from Mr. Castillo's office, but none quite like this: Kalina, clad in sport attire, her fiery red hair tumbling in unruly waves around her face, her piercing blue eyes sparkling with defiance.

Despite the chaos of the moment, Lisa couldn't help but be struck by Kalina's ethereal beauty. Her porcelain skin, untouched by the sun, seemed to glow in the dim light of the hallway, accentuating her statuesque figure and the subtle curves that hinted at her femininity. Standing at an imposing height of 5'9, Kalina exuded a quiet confidence, her long legs elongated by the sports shorts she wore.

She was stunning, it's no little wonder her boss was entangled with her Lisa thought. Because just like everyone else, she believed her boss was somehow in a relationship with this red head beauty, especially if he was so worked up about the scandal.

This wouldn't be the first time the press will talk about his entanglement with different women, but this was the first time she would see her boss react.

With a curt nod from Liam, Lisa reluctantly tore her gaze away from Kalina, her curiosity piqued but her professionalism intact. Liam led the way to Dominique's office, his jaw set in determination as he braced himself for the storm that awaited them behind closed doors.

Kalina stormed into Dominique's office, the heavy mahogany door slamming against its frame with a resounding thud that echoed through the room. Her fiery gaze bore into Dominique as she advanced towards his desk, her steps purposeful and filled with righteous anger.

"This is all your bloody fault!" she bellowed, her voice laced with frustration and venom. "My life was perfect until you came around."

Dominique leaned back in his chair, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips as he watched her tirade unfold. He waved a dismissive hand in the air, feigning nonchalance. "I wouldn't exactly call your failing business and your douchebag of a boyfriend running off with your savings perfect," he retorted, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Kalina's nostrils flared with rage, her hands clenched into fists at her sides as she fought to control her mounting fury. Ignoring his jibe, she pressed on, her voice trembling with emotion. "And you didn't even bother to come get me yourself!"

Dominique's smirk widened into a grin as he leaned forward, his gaze locking with hers. "Did you miss me?" he taunted, his tone teasing.

"You bloody wish!" Kalina shot back, her frustration boiling over as she slammed her hands down on Dominique's desk, causing Andrew and Jake, the two other bodyguards, to startle in shock. They had never seen anyone speak to their boss in such a manner before, and their eyes widened in disbelief.

But Liam, standing nearby, merely suppressed a chuckle, his amusement evident in the twinkle of his eyes. This wasn't anything new to him; he had witnessed Kalina's fiery temper on two occasions. As the tension crackled in the air, he remained a silent observer, ready to intervene if necessary but content to watch the drama unfold.

Dominique sat back in his chair, a mix of emotions swirling within him as he watched Kalina's fiery outburst. Initially, he had entertained thoughts of teaching her a lesson for disrespecting him, but the sheer frustration and annoyance in her eyes whenever she was in his presence were punishment enough. He couldn't help but find it amusing, and now, unexpectedly, he found himself looking forward to a future with her.

However, as his gaze drifted down to Kalina's attire, a sudden surge of possessiveness washed over him like a tidal wave. He caught Andrew's eyes lingering on Kalina's legs, and a growl of warning rumbled low in his throat. His jaw clenched tightly, his fingers curling into fists as a primal instinct to protect what he has claimed as his flared to life within him.

"Get the fuck out!" he snapped, his voice cutting through the tense atmosphere and startling Kalina. Confusion flickered across her features as she glanced between Dominique and Andrew, realizing that his glare was not directed at her.

With an apologetic look, Andrew quickly averted his gaze and hurried out of the room, with Jake trailing behind him. Dominique struggled to control his breathing, his chest rising and falling with the effort as he fought to rein in his possessive instincts.

Turning to Liam, he spoke through gritted teeth, his voice laced with barely contained anger. "Keep your men in check, or else the next time one of them so much as looks at what's not his, he won't have any eyes to look with again."

Kalina remained bewildered, unable to comprehend what had just transpired, but Liam understood all too well. His boss might not realize it yet, but this fiery redhead was about to change his life in ways he never expected.

"And get rid of those rabid reporters while you're at it," Dominique added, his tone firm and commanding as he referred to the paparazzi flooding the front of his building.

"On it, boss," Liam responded in a professional tone, nodding towards Kalina before swiftly exiting the office to carry out his orders. As the door closed behind him, Dominique leaned back in his chair, his mind still reeling from the unexpected turn of events, and the newfound possessiveness that burned within him.

Temper, temper tsk tsk tsk.
